The kings and queens were satisfied ruling in their large palaces. They thought, falsely, that their people loved them. The people were struggling to scrape by with their poverty and their oppression. But the Forest glowed beyond the fields and villages. The Forest that was the only thing the nobles feared.
For it's powers and it's magic did not belong to them.
But the young woman with the dark hair and eyes, as much as the prince wanted her, she belonged to the Forest. And she would use the powers it gave her.
Everyone has a story to tell, made from the moments in the lives we share. Consequently, every person has their own perspective, their own subjective experiences, and thereby, their own subjective realities. Even if the exact same story is told by two people, the details from one will differ in the other.
Reed and Lumina share their lives together, but each of them came from different backgrounds; each of them went through their own unique experiences. Reed is a human being like everyone else on Earth. Lumina is an Altiri, like every one in Genosis. Judas was a self-righteous Christian through most of school, but he's looking to turn a new leaf with his senior year of high school. He has many nicknames among his fellow students. From "Crazy" to "Freak" to "Schizo". But the one that he hears the most is, "Jesus Freak". You couldn't blame Judas because he claimed he could see and hear Jesus Christ, The Son of God. However, no one else could see or hear Jesus. Judas wants to put that all behind him and move on with his senior year. But some people aren't so willing to forget.
Enter Delilah Lor, a new girl who just moved to Hawkins. Her appearance is unexpected but welcome in Judas' eyes. And when Delilah starts expressing interest in Judas, he tries to appear like any other man. But he soon discovers that's going to be a challenge.
