Vol.1 Prologue
What if the world ceased to exist? What if the one true God gave up once more towards humanity? The world where there God existed or did not, whether God was a label to control others, or an actual divine being capable of creating whatever existed in the world.
Is God almighty? Or is Humanity unruly? If God really existed, why did the rules God commanded be easily broken by those that God deemed their very own perfect creation. A being said to be created in God's own image, a being called Humans also referred to as Humanity.
Humanity, the story goes a long way back. Along the far reaches of the galaxy and amongst the oldest of literary records, there existed a famous story about the time where God created the world.
The seven days where at first God separated and created two realms each named Heaven and Earth. Seeing as the earth was void and everything was shrouded in darkness, God created light separating the two, whereas the light became known as day, and the darkness became night. It marked the first day of the world.
On the second day God separated the firmament from the waters encasing the void of Earth, with that, Heaven was established and the second day ended.
In the name of God, on the third day God commanded that the waters under heaven were to gather in one place. In its place, dry land appeared which was eventually called Earth, and the body of water was named Sea. From the surface of the new found Earth, God gave life to green pasture and all sorts of plants bearing fruits of their own kind. That marked the end of day three.
On the fourth day, the Sun and the Moon were born as the stars quickly rose and filled the void above the heavens. They were to govern the days and the nights, and to mark the seasons, including signs for the years to come.
By the fifth day, God has established his domains and decided it was time to breathe life into the world they created. Filling the Sea with abundance of wildlife, and birds to take the skies, they were given the order to multiply and fill the world with their offspring.
Finally on the sixth day, along with the beasts and animals that scurry around the face of the earth, the first of humanity was born created in his image. Blessing them, a pair of man and female, they were given the power to dominate every living thing that live amongst them, including the plants that grow as a source of food and other values.
God was not a he, neither a she. God is always referred to as they, a being that is unknown whether there is single or multiple entities. By the seventh day, the world officially started and the story of humanity began. Having felt satisfied with their creation, God left the world in Human hands with all but one rule.

As a sentient being capable of reasoning due to the blessings given, Humanity understood and obeyed God. As their first task, looking upon the wondrous creations God bestowed under their dominion. They decided to name each other. The male was named Adam meaning Earth, and the female was named Eve meaning life. Having conveniently named themselves, they then started to give name to each and everything that existed, so those that they named could take pride in their names, and become independent from one another as they all have their own name as a species.
After all is said and done, Humanity who was all but pure and obedient was toyed with. Having no knowledge of beings with intellectual abilities aside each other, and the one they look up as God. Humanity was seduced to a sweet alluring voice they could only interpret as the voice of God, resulting in Eve obeying and plucking the forbidden fruit of the tree of wisdom to eat and share with Adam. Thus they committed their first sin. The sin called wisdom with which they gained Enlightenment.
From here on marked the start of a long story of Humanity, their beginning and their end. Here the start of their history foretells of humanities shame being cast away from the Garden of Eden, a boundary which connected the Heavens and Earth.
God was known to be jealous, having learned that Humanity disobeyed their order and gained Enlightenment, which enacted their self-awareness to tell right from wrong. God blinded them from the truth. Despite his blessings to dominate all his creations on Earth, God also cursed Humanity to crawl and suffer on Earth forever losing their right as a divine being who resides in heaven. Eve and only Eve by then received a stigma since she was the first to be affected by the lie that led to their sin. It was for this reason that God gave great labor pain to all females, and males were regarded with a higher status due to God referring their selves as a Father granting more authority to the male. Since then, Humanity lost all knowledge of the Heavens. The bridge between the Heaven and Earth collapsed after their expulsion. But, what was never foretold in history were who or what replaced Humanities position as God's favorite.

Underground Sanctum Room 302, June 20, 2022 A.D
In a cell deep underground, unknowing of the current condition of the world, two girls around the age of twelve were confined together for an experimental project called the Salvation Project in three days.
"Hey... Eve?" A girl with a ponytail snuggled up and sat beside the one named Eve.
"Eh? Sephia!? N-no nothing ahahaha... I was just spacing out I guess" Eve said as she looked slightly flustered.
"Ah...could it be your thinking of that person you've been talking about?"
Having hit the mark, Eve's face reddened as Sephia grinned.
"N-noo you've got it all wrong! It's not like that...I mean, we haven't even been allowed outside. So I've just been wondering why a certain person keeps appearing in my dreams..."
"Hmm... thinking about it, I overheard a conversation that said everybody gathered here were people who had –Special Abilities-. Simply put, everyone here is either a genius or seemingly gifted in a sense."
"M-me gifted? I think not" Eve wrapped her arms around her head trying to deny what she just heard.
"You're right! I guess it is hard to imagine you being gifted even more so a genius!"
"H-hey! You don't need to be that mean-" Eve pouted but she was quickly taken back by Sephia who suddenly grabbed her and rubbed her chest on her face.
"Ahaha! I'm joking, I'm joking! Now that's a face I want to see!"
Eve struggled to pull herself away from Sephia as she continued to rubbing Eve's face on her chest.
"Fuaahh! Are you trying to kill me with that chest of yours!?" Eve coughed and gasped for air moments after Sephia decided to let go.
Meanwhile, Sephia was triggered. A switch inside her seemed to flip on when she heard her chest being mentioned. Looking down and trying to grasp her own chest but failed, her eyes lit up and large grin appeared on her face. Eve recognized that look in her eyes and shuddered.
"S-sephia...? I-i-i-i-i-I'M SORRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY-!!!"
That moment was the last thing Eve remembered that day.

Guardian's Headquarter, June 20, 2022 A.D
At the corner of an enclosed small canteen, there sat a young boy who was shunned by the rest his age fearing him. He was around 15 years old and will eventually turn 16 in mere months. But things like birthdays and fun happy times were not things in his everyday life. In fact he was just a simple pawn, an extra, one who was driven to brink of insanity ready to destroy anything with a snap of a finger.
The resistance faction also known as the Guardian's was quite a large confidential organization. Since far before the war, children around the age of 5 and many orphans were drafted into their numbers. Those who had high intellectual capabilities and talents were raised in a stress free environment and trained to benefit and develop the organization. While those who were unlucky were used as guinea pigs for their tests with the surviving ones used up and trained to be an obedient assassin till the day they die.

A card holder dangled down over his chest. What separated the boy named Michael August from the rest of them is precisely the existence of said card. The Code Rank literally means a danger rank. As one would know, it is common knowledge that people who possess lesser intelligence were prone to have a shorter fuse. As an expendable all he needed was a little push and he might as well lose his mind killing everyone in the vicinity. Of course that was what he was engineered to do. What he was bred to do since he was taken in, and the reason he is still kept alive.
Rank listed from the top was the SS rank. It was a rank that only existed as a rumor. It was said that among all the applicants of the inhuman experiments done to them, in exchange for their mind. There was an applicant that succeeded in gaining both superhuman strength and rapid regenerative abilities. Rumor has it that they are merely immortal. Shooting them in the head and tearing out their heart will not impede their regenerative abilities. As such the only way known to kill them is to destroy their healing factor or burn them to a crisp so their cells have no way to regenerate.
The S rank is believed to be for applicants that have succeeded in either gaining one of the abilities. Although in this case, they are not immortal and the ones with regenerative abilities will die if they lose either their head or their heart. The S ranks are considered trump cards and are considered engineered super soldiers as the spearhead for the organization.
At A rank, individuals with said ranks are considered expendables. Having low affinity having failed the experiments to receive power, they are each given a vile filled with the lethal drug. It was only to be used when told to and as a last resort. Once taken into their system, they will experience a boost of both power and regenerative capabilities for about 5 minutes before they die from brain damage.
All ranks below A are considered sacrificial pawns. Their very purpose is to die to make way for those above them. Regardless of ranks, each and every unit was a child under legal age. They were taken from the world, unknown to the world, and unwanted by the world. Born to die, the very purpose imprinted to each and every one of their minds.
"Guys, don't look at him. You don't wanna become a guinea pig like him now do you?"
"Yeah, take a look at his eyes! Is there any difference from that of a lab rat? Poor guy all alone just like a rat sneaking around"
"Shushhh! Don't be so loud~ You wouldn't want a bomb to go off here now would you? Not like it's possible though haha"
"Right right, who in the right mind let out the guinea pig here anyway? Probably he's just a useless dud who is gonna be scrapped like the rest of them"
Jeers and continuous verbal assaults were continually thrown at Michael's way. It was a normalcy for him, an everyday life he goes through. For the average child maybe it would be over bearing and some might even go crazy, which actually happened to a few of his early friends.
Standing up from his seat, Michael gave them a cold stare as he walked past by them. They were from the weapons manufacturing. It was precisely this group that created plenty of experimental and faulty weapons that led to death of people like him. Despite their previous assaults, deep down they were cowards as they suddenly became silent after their eyes met his.
"Friends huh...? Is there a point to group with a person who would probably die the next day on?" Michael muttered to himself as he left the canteen, a faint ringing sound buzzed beneath his coat.
Taking out a small phone from his pocket, he tapped the mail notification on its screen. In the mail was a photo of two girls smiling towards the camera and below it was a text that read.
Your mission starts in 48 hours, Guardians eliminate them. You will-..
Not bothering to care for the rest of the text written below it, Michael took in a deep breath. The eyes that were cold and intimidating quickly changed to one that suited a playful happy child his age. It was the eyes of which many fell victim to before, the eyes of a veteran assassin.
Underground Sanctum - Cleansing Room, June 22, 2022 A.D
In an enclosed shrine, Eve and Sephia were guided towards a mesmerizing fountain never seen before to be cleansed. They were to be bathed in a clean uncontaminated area believed to be sacred, it was for that reason they have lived their lives in isolation.
After bowing, the attendants that guided Eve and Sephia left them bathe alone together. Leaving a message to be ready before their return, and setting aside a change of clothes for the two they closed the door behind them.
"Uwaahh... so pretty..!" Eves's eyes sparkled as she skipped through the shallow clear water chasing after the fireflies that illuminated the shrine.
"H-hey Eve. Stop stooop! Didn't you hear?" Sephia looked around in panic before chasing after Eve.
Suddenly stopping, a bit trembling Eve slowly turned around and gestured innocently with a finger on her chin tilting her face questioningly.
"H-hear what?"
"Don't you know the place we are at? We are in a-.."
"HIIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!" Eve shrieked as she jumped towards Sephia toppling the two of them into the water.
Coughing and gasping for air, Sephia heaved a sigh as she perked her ears towards her surroundings. It was then she heard the faint hollow voice coming from above before smirking with Eve clinging on her chest.
"Eeek~ a ghost is behind you!"
Sephia poorly acted out as she took hold of a small cold pebble and slid it down Eve's back. She knew Eve was slightly paranoid of ghost, well she was probably the cause of it since back when they were together with the rest of the Chosen Ones. Knowing Eve always ran away when it came to ghost stories, piqued Sephia's interest into teasing her at every available moment. Because of that, Eve now has been traumatized by the slightest sound thinking it was actually a ghost.
Instead of the usual terrified yelp, Eve started to silently sob making Sephia feel highly guilty.
"It-it was a joke...what I was trying to say was this is a sacred place. We shouldn't do anything inappropriate...not that I'm one to talk for scaring you...ehehe.." Sephia muttered the last part as she twirled her hair looking away from Eve.
Eve responded by quivering a bit, still silent.
Taking a deep breath, Sephia held onto Eve's shoulder and sat her upright.
"Look here, I'm sorry! I-I won't do it again, I promise! Maybe..." Clasping her two hands in front her, Sephia pleaded with an apology while again muttering the last part.
This time Eve responded while looking straight into Sephia's eye with teary eyes.
"W-why didn't you just tell me..!? Now what do I do?" Eve then started to cry on the spot.
"Ehh?? I-I'm sorryyyyy, please don't cry anymore. Aren't you supposed to be the older sister?"
"B-but I was so scared that I peed myself..."
"W-whaaatt!?!?"
Sephia looked down in surprise, sure enough she did feel something warm despite the water being quite cold.
"I'm going to be in trouble..." Eve started to cry even louder making Sephia even more frustrated.
"L-let's just pretend this didn't happen. Come on, we can just shove the dirty water away, see..." Lifting Eve up, Sephia started to paddle the seemingly murky water aside.
"Won't it get found out...?" Eve sniffled as she obediently copied Sephia's action.
"There is so much water here and it's also quite dark, so d-don't worry about it. I'll make sure we don't get found out! Anyway...do you know what day it is today?"
Sephia then tried to change the topic.
Eve was a simpleton so getting distracted by another question made her briefly forget about her predicament.
"Today is...the salvation day...?"
"Well you're not wrong but isn't there something even more special?"
"Eh...? Something that's more important than salvation day?"
Taking Eve's hand in her own, Sephia put on her best smile.
"Yeahh...Happy Birthday!!! I was going to say it as a surprise for later on, but anyway let's quickly clean up. I have something to give you after this is over."
Now forgetting her troubles, Eve's eye beamed as she jumped forward embracing Sephia once more. The sad troubled face quickly replaced by a happy cheerful smile.
The two then quickly finished bathing and changed into the respective clothes they were given. It felt a bit embarrassing for them as it turned out to be some sort of bodysuit. Luckily spare robes were prepared as they put them on over the white bodysuit. Just in time, the door towards the shrine reopened and the attendants came in to pick them up.
Giggling, Eve and Sephia held each other's hand as they were guided out of the shrine and back into a large hallway after their hair were combed and dried.
Leaning over towards Eve, Sephia whispered in voice only she could hear.
"See they haven't noticed a thing" Giving Eve a wink and a thumbs up while at it.
But that was the last thing Eve wanted to hear. Puffing her cheeks, her face flushed red, triggering a worried reaction from an attendant that led to them asking about her health.
The Salvation Project was an experimental project which required the host to be perfectly healthy and sterile. The reason was, they will be put into an eternal slumber in the form of cold sleep. Thus to preserve their condition they must not be contaminated by anything that might slowly decompose the body over the unknown years. It was a project that heavily relied on luck or so to say miracle by an organization named U.N.I.O.N short for United Neutral Independent Organized Nation.
The U.N.I.O.N had one objective. That is to preserve humanities future despite the less than 1% chance of success. In a mere year, the war between the nations will enter its final stage. Hydrogen bombs, Thermo-Nuclear bombs, E.M.P bombs, and a mass variety of deadly chemical bombs were armed and ready by each nation to contest as the greatest power on Earth. It was predicted that all life will seemingly end or extraordinarily reduced to a mere percentage as the Earth's very air will become too poisonous to live in, the water too polluted to drink and the ground too toxic for plants to grow in. In their attempt to achieve their objective, they are willing to make sacrifices, and what better to make as a sacrifice if not innocent virgin little girls who since far back in the days have been used to pleasure God as the highest most pure offering. Eve and Sephia hit the jackpot, subjected to be their first trial participant. The rest of the Chosen Ones are scheduled to follow suit shortly after analyzing the research data on the two who will soon make history.
On the other hand, the Guardians had the objective to stop the war while also viewing the U.N.I.O.N as an evil cult. Planning on sabotaging their technology and research, they plan on manipulating their research to create a safe haven in which they can save the remainders of the world as a last resort while they wait out the aftermaths of the war. The other reason they are targeting the U.N.I.O.N is precisely because they are backed up by the nations pitted against each other as a means of escape should the war turn unfavorable. By taking down the U.N.I.O.N, the Guardians hope to bring about the end of the war. Highly valuing females, they believe that any and all sacrifices are needed for the greater good. This was shown in their commitment by sacrificing males, U.N.I.O.N's way of willing to sacrifice females also played a part in their aggression towards them.
Halfway along the way to the deepest part of the Underground Sanctuary, the ceiling above the group leading Eve and Sephia eerily quaked. Not long after the loud sounds of siren could be heard. Confused and scared the two were quickly rushed to move faster towards the end of the hall where a hidden elevator was situated in.
"W-what's happening?" Eve struggled to keep up as she heavily panted. Her grip on Sephia's hand tightened.
"I don't know either...but it's alright! We have each other so there is nothing to be afraid of... Remember our promise okay?" Sephia tried to keep a calm face despite with each step it became excruciatingly painful to breathe. The taste of iron slowly filled her mouth.
Eve wasn't that dull to not notice Sephia's condition. Feeling the grip on her hand loosen, she held on even tighter hoping to ease her. The small gentle hand, wet with cold sweat.
"Look we're almost at the end! Just a little more Sephii!"
Eve smiled trying to encourage the pale faced Sephia. She won't let go no matter what happens, that was what she thought.
Until...
A loud cracking noise could be heard, the group momentarily slowed looking up as tension was built up between them. Everything felt like a dream.
As if paper, the ceiling above the group collapsed. Time seemingly lengthened, the sounds around Eve dulled and she could clearly see Sephia's terrified and exhausted face beside her looking up. The grip on her hand considerably loosened as if given up.
"SEPHII WATCH OUT-!!!"
With all the strength she could muster, Eve released her hold on Sephia and pushed her away to safety. Now in harm's way, Eve could do nothing aside trying to protect herself as the debris slammed her small body blowing her away before hitting the wall to side. She fractured her left arm with a deep cut on it.
"E-Eve!!?"
Still in a state of shock realizing what happened, Sephia got up and was quick to realize what happened to Eve, immediately sprinting towards her but was held back.
"Stand back! Our duty is to escort you unharmed. We are not alone here." One of the escorts said as they looked at each other before arming themselves.
Sure enough, after the dust settled. The figure of a small boy appeared with smoke and ashes rising from his body. His eyes were bloodshot and in the blink of an eye vanished, immediately taking down the attendant holding Sephia back. Sephia and the assailants eye briefly met, a tag with the name Michael written on it flashed momentarily before he leaped up into the air once more targeting the other attendants. Without a moment's notice, gun shots were fired.
Seeing this opportunity, Sephia slipped past the attendants who tried to forcibly carry her away. A total of 24 escorts and 6 attendants were available but none tried to help Eve deeming her worthless in her current state.
"E-eve! Are you alright? I'm sorry...it was all because of me" Tears started to roll down Sephia's cheek.
"W-hat..are you..doing here? Go on...I'll be okay... we promised to always be together right...? Just let me rest..for a..bit.."
"What are you saying!? We are going together!"
Sephia tried to prop Eve up but immediately regretted it as Eve yelled out in pain. Her left arm had swollen to 2 times its size and it was bleeding pretty badly.
"O-ow..I'm sorry it was my...mistake for being careless...ahaha..."
"N-noo!! I-i-it's your birthday today! It was supposed to be a happy day! Ah...! I know, this wasn't supposed to be used like this...but this is my birthday present for you..."
Sephia tore a part of her robe to cover the wound and gently wrapped around a pink ribbon over it. Her face was overflowing with tears of regret.
"This is...? Is this alright...? Isn't this...your favorite ribbon?" Eve tried hard to look surprised and smiled. Although the stinging pain from her left arm makes it hard for her to do so.
"Of course it's alright...you..y-you dummy! You are more valuable than anything I have. If not, you deserve even better!"
Sephia who couldn't hold back her feelings quickly embraced Eve. Her pain from all that running was nothing compared to how painful it was seeing Eve the way she is now.
"O-ow...Sephia, I can't...breathe...ahaha..."
Even in that condition Eve still tried to comfort Sephia, slowly stroking her hair.
"Come now...Let's go together!"
Slowly trying to support Eve, the two continued to scale the walls in order to reach their destination.
"Cover the chosen ones! Keep the cover fire"
"GAAAHHH!!!"
"Don't let up! Encircle the bastard"
"Bullets don't work! Is it a monster!?"
"All the attendants were taken out, someone grab the kids and fallback!"
Out from the cover of smoke, a large man who was part of the escort group quickly ran up towards the two in an attempt to scoop them up and run. The sounds of explosives detonated and screams could be heard from inside the smoke.
"No stop! Eve is hurt, you can't carry her carelessly!"
Sephia quickly stood her ground trying to shield Eve.
"Understood, then that means I am not obliged to help her as my orders were to escort you unharmed."
The large man smirked as he quickly lifted Sephia up his shoulder casting Eve aside. The difference in strength was far too great for Sephia to even think of slipping away from his grip. All she could do was despair at how powerless she is, despite her resistance as the distance between her and Eve gradually increased.
"S-sephii...Don't worry...I'm right behind you!"
Eve tried to shout holding back her pain. Using the wall as a support, she continued to slowly move towards the end.
"Let me down! I made a promise with Eve! Please...let me down!"
Sephia pleaded, but they have already reached the destination. Setting her down for the moment, the large man entered a series of code to unlock the secret elevator. Seeing the man let his guard down for a brief moment, Sephia made a run for it.
Of course that was a futile act, no matter how much of a handicap was given, there was no way a weak slow little girl with low stamina like her could hope to outrun a fully trained man. But even so, her conscience couldn't let things be that way. Even if it kills her, even if the odds of success equaled to less than 1%. She bet her life on that sliver of chance that she can repay the life that Eve saved. Because, it was Eve that helped her become who she was now, and it was Eve that had protected her despite their numerous escorts. Eve was an irreplaceable figure in her life. She was the one who made her realize the feelings called love.
"Eve!!!"
"Hey get back here!"
While chasing after Sephia the large man stopped as the dust and smoke cleared. Appearing from within it was a figure holding the severed head of the commander in charge. Michael the name of the figure smirked as he tossed the head aside.
"Why you little...!"
Veins popping out from the sides of the large man's head he took out a large machete from his back and decided to go into a hand to hand combat with Michael. With a roar, the large man apparently the second in command, was actually pretty skilled in melee combat. Seemingly equal, the blades they carried chipped and clashed against each other, a duel where single mistake would spell death.
"Sephii...you came back...ugh"
Eve almost collapsed, her body was turning cold and her face was growing pale.
"The elevator is ready, come on we are going to make it through!"
Truth be told, even Sephia was reaching her limit. Having to run back and forth and having to help carry Eve, she could no longer tell whether the pain in her chest is her fatigue or her sadness and despair.
"I-I can't...please Sephii...go on without me..."
Eve tried to shove Sephia away from her, tears streaming down her cheeks. She knew that Sephia was pushing herself too hard. She didn't want to be a burden to her.
"No! We promised that we will always be together right?"
Using her right hand, Eve caressed Sephia's cheek and wiped away her tears. Smiling one last time, Eve collapsed. Her consciousness was fading. The last thing she heard and remembered was the muddled voice of someone saying I will protect you...
Centrica – Empyrean Mansion, February 3, 997 A.I
"They are awake, they are awake!"
The sound of busy footsteps and a door being swung widely open could be heard. Voices of unfamiliar people could be heard.
"Come this way, it seems they have yet to gather their senses."
"Quiet down, they might be uncomfortable and shocked with this much company, everyone please leave the room. I will deal with this personally"
"But Milady..."
"No excuses, now move along"
A girl with deep blue eyes and long hair that curled at its tips gently waved off the disappointed group as she closed the door behind them.
"Ngghh..." The girl with white hair groaned as she got up gazing blankly still confused of her surroundings. A pink ribbon that was inseparable from her wrapped around her left arm.
"W-where am I..." The girl with white hair muttered to herself.
The two girls in the room was brought to surprise as the third person woke up and gasped for air.
"Eve! Where are you!?"
With long hair flowing down to their waist, the third person looked around confused and panting with outstretched hands.
Taking a deep breath, the one previously called milady stood between the two's bed and grasped their hand as she knelt down.
"You must be the one named Eve." She said as she looked towards her left
"And you must be the one named Michael..." She said as she looked towards her right.
"I welcome you to Centrica, My name is Aurellia Bloomsworth and from today onward, this shall be your new home."
