That's it. The world is coming to an end. Scientists have developed a cure for cancer, or at least it should have been until that cure ends up destroying all the cells in one's body rather than just the intended cancer cells. Soon all life starts to die off at a rapid rate, and in six days the entire world's living plants and animals and all life will disappear. You are one if not maybe the only scientist working against the clock to try to find a cure and save the world. But, with such little time left. Should one continue to try to find a cure? Or should  spend your final moments with your family and loved ones?

Entries in this contest should write their own stories based on this premise about nearly anything else they wish. For example, as illustrated above, one may write themselves struggling with working for the cure. Or you could be working to keep the hope up with their best friend who is thinking about giving up, or curing your lover, or giving up the cure and living life to the fullest instead to leave the world to its end.
