The king stared at me deciding how he should word his next sentence. He finally sighed standing up " Let's just say your now a prisoner of war" The king replied walking down the stairs towards me. He stopped just a meter from where Kayne was standing and I was sprawled on the floor. The king seemed quite light-hearted completely different from his men, who would go as far as to kill innocents to get the job done. I was picked up from the floor "Nice to have you here" the king said before I was dragged off by Kayne to gods knows where. I rolled my eyes when I looked back at the king waving with a massive grin on his face. After 6 corridors and a few heavily guarded hallways id given up on struggling, What good was it going to be even if I managed to ward off his grip where was I going to go, There were like a million guards in this place. I just groaned and kept walking forward.
After what felt like forever walking we finally got to a door. Kayne promptly opened it, turned me around, undid the binding on my hands and then slammed the door in my face shouting a goodbye from the hallway before marching off. slightly frustrated. The room looked nothing like a cell. The room was open with a simple bed in one corner a desk along the opposite wall and a thick glass window on the opposite side of the room. I tried the door to no surprise, it was locked. I sat down on the chair stationed at the desk slumping whilst slowly sliding off the chair catching myself just before falling to the ground. " what am I even doing here" I sad to myself.
hours passed and Kayne came back through the door waking me up "You do know that there is a bed in this room right" he said with a black look on his face. Naturally, I rolled my eyes at him. Slowly I got out of the chair and walked towards him. "Yes," I said to him slightly annoyed that I didn't get to finish that amazing dream that I was having. Kayne then grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of the door. At this point, I didn't even struggle but he was practically two heads taller than me. In my hometown, I am considered the shorty. I was struggling to keep up with the form in front of me "Why are we walking so fast" I said doing that weird combination between running and walking " I'm not walking fast you're just slow" he said "I'm not slow I'm short there's is a difference" I snapped back at him " Yeah right" He said practically dragging me across the floor.
After a while, we reached a door. Kayne opened it, Inside was a nicely decorated room with a Middleaged woman comfortably laid on a large bed, and of course, the decorations of the rooms finishing touch was the King taking a nap on a chair in the corner. " I see I'm not the only one that finds a chair more comfortable than a bed," I said with a hint of sarcasm waking the king up. "Oh yeah," he said blushing, standing up from the chair and stretching out. " Why am I even here, " I said tiredly from being dragged halfway across the castle. " Well, this is my sister" The king started clearly conflicted about what he was going to say next " She has been in a coma for two weeks and nobody knows why" He stopped for a second " This is why you're here so help her...please" He finally muttered out.
Kayne let me go, for a second I stood there rubbing my wrist glancing over at the woman on the bed slowly walking over Kayne added " Remember her life is connected to yours she dies, you die" I looked at him unimpressed at what he just said. he just shrugged and went to guard the door hand hovering near the holster for his gun. I put my attention back over to the woman on the bed. I had to crawl onto the bed to get to her. Whilst I checked her pulse I asked nobody in particular " So how did she slip into a coma" There was silence for a moment " We don't know for sure" he said
Before he could start his next sentence I said " It's poison" the king just looked at me with disbelief plastered on his face. " but how" he stuttered whilst falling down back into the chair in the corner. " Usually this kind kills but whatever was poisoned must not have had enough to do what it was supposed to do" I continued whilst crawling backwards off the bed. When I was back on the floor I brushed my clothes down, I no longer had my familiar lab coat and my clothes were dirty from the battlegrounds " Tell your guys to get some antidote for moonshine poison. " Thank you" the king then said standing up again. Kayne then grabbed my wrist again and we left the room. 423Please respect copyright.PENANAzxQkrxuwMV
