Science Fiction! Yeah!

So, because I have no idea what these societies are for, let's talk about the best science fiction you've ever read. It can be from here, from a traditional publisher, or from another fiction site. Leave a link (if possible) so we can all read the awesome work, and just talk. Because we all love Sci-Fi and Fantasy here.

My fave scifi story is The Martian and 1984.

I love the Martian, too! I haven't gotten to reading 1984 yet, but I'll check it out. I've heard so much about it.

I do Magic Realism is a Cyberpunk setting: it's not quite science fiction or fantasy, but has elements traditionally thought of Magic Realism/Surrealism in an otherwise Near Future Virtual World.

Personally, having just got into Sci-Fi more, I have to say that I adored and inhaled the Lunar Chronicles. It may be a series found in the teen reads section of the bookstore, but I've yet to come across another Sci-Fi book or series that so flawlessly encompasses many of the Sci-Fi sub-genres: Post apocalyptic, dystonia, steampunk, space opera, cyberpunk, so many sprinklings of Sci-Fi elements when most books focus on one or two. A lovely read for anyone with an interest in all elements of sci-fi and fairy tale retellings/new interpretations.
