Preface

This book started off as a journal that I was using to document all the supernatural experiences I have had in my life. I then intended to use the journal as a resource for a semi-fictional story I wanted to write about my life. I decided on writing a fictional story at first because I wasn't quite sure people would believe the story if I told it as a memoir. This seemed to me to be at first, an easy way to write a book. As I began writing the story, the thought then occurred to me that this process felt like too much work. I felt like I was writing the story twice. I was creating a plot when the reality was much more convincing. I was creating characters when they were already there. More importantly, I didn't feel as though I was being honest by writing it as fiction.

I have been a Christian for the past eighteen years and have gone through a maturing process in my walk with Jesus. This process has required me to discard false teachings such as prosperity theology to name one among many. My maturing process has also required me to distill the truth of the many supernatural experiences I have had. In spite of the evidence, there was still a part of my mind that was reluctant to accept some of the experiences as real. In time, God has given me peace regarding the truth of these experiences. I know that most people have not had the magnitude and frequency of supernatural experiences that I have had in my life. It might be difficult for those people to believe that what I experienced actually happened.

The answer God gave me concerning my experiences was that they did happen. Regardless of whether people believed them or not, that was beyond my ability to control. God also revealed to me that the gifts of the spirit He has given me were hijacked early in my life by the lies of the enemy and were presented to me as a false representation of what they truly are. These lies confused me and I misused my gifts for too many years. By His grace, I have been able to closer align my gifts to His will.

The enemy has thrown up a lot of obstacles in my attempts to complete this book. But God has been with me throughout the process and guided me, protected me. One thing I do know beyond any doubt is, if you pray that God shows you what He wants you to gain from reading this book, then He will show you.
