You know, I think it's funny how clueless people can honestly be. They almost genuinely have no idea what they're doing- what they're doing to you, how they're making you feel.

Oblivious as they may seem, it's still a shock that they keep doing it over and over. Their words and actions are just so distressing, but it's like they don't even know it hurts you. Or rather, they don't seem to care.

Maybe it's just who they are, they were built to have some kind of external repellent that it is supposed to keep away anyone who gets even remotely close to them. A mechanism that makes them stir up trouble whenever they're "threatened".

It gets old, though. You try to make things better and show them that you can be trusted, but after a while it's hard not to give up. You get tired of trying to break down a barrier of questioning looks and unspoken hardships.

Soon, you just get sick of it. They make you feel like you're not enough for them, so it's no surprise that you start to believe it.

So do what you can until what you're doing isn't enough anymore. There is a limit to how much backlash we can take. You can't make someone understand if they just can't - or don't want to.
