It's 2010 and the world is awash in darkness and death. At the edge of the end, in a rare moment of peace and love, a memoir begins. 

Erin's story begins like so many others.

Erin is Not Like Other Girls™️.

That isn't what she wants though. She wants to be like other teenagers, with friends, a home to call her own, and all of the mundane drama that comes with being a kid in Midwestern America on the brink of the 1990's.

She is desperate to belong, but her parents have made that impossible.

Her parents keep her on the move, running from something they won't talk about. Between the guns and the magic, Erin knows it's something dangerous and otherworldly. 

She would accept her forced isolation if only her parents would tell her something. Anything.

One evening in early July of 1989, fate decides she has been alone in the dark for long enough.
