Not all of us like cliffhangers while reading stories. But they do build a sort of excitement in our guts which leaves us wanting MORE...

So write a story - any genre - which ends with a CLIFFHANGER.

Some examples of cliffhangers are (these are all made by me, so it's okay if you don't want to use them; these are just examples):

(i) It did not take a genius to realize that this was just the beginning.

(ii) And the words transpired out of her mouth like a petal falling on the ground, slow and soft, "He's coming back."

(iii) As he stared up at the dark clouds, death on the verge of consuming him, only one thought ran in his mind. The secret's gone. Forever.

(iv) And there she was. Her expression that of grief, anguish and above all - fright. But what rooted him to the spot was the little being in her hands. A baby. His baby. As he loomed over the little creature even he couldn't suppress the gasp that escaped his lips as the baby stared back at him with his dark abyss of blackness in place of eyes.
