Week 7: Journal 1copyright protection300PENANAmn8UsJGxtt
So I've never brought this up before, but I've never really liked Minecraft. I don't know, I just don't find it that interesting. I get it, being a video lover gamer and not loving Minecraft is some kind of mortal sin, but I'm sorry. I just can't enjoy it. I've tried, I really have. But I always get bored after like five minutes. copyright protection300PENANASp9SMTgyEW
I'm bringing this up because last weekend Bunny told me how much her classmates love Minecraft and, what do you know, she doesn't like it either. copyright protection300PENANAaZ7XOaVajk
Bunny: "I played it once. It was boring."copyright protection300PENANAYjt3OGyqR4
I know how you feel, Sweetheart.copyright protection300PENANAqv5zjAXjq8
Apparently she, Kaitlyn, Savannah and some other girl whose name I don't remember are the only kids in the whole class who don't like the game. Yes, Mrs. Campbell actually did a vote. That's...really interesting. Well, at least Bunny and her friends have something else in common.copyright protection300PENANAx7w587W0JB
Anyway, the weekend. Ruth was terrible on Friday. No surprise there. At one point, she yelled at me for a stain on my uniform and had the nerve to say: "Do all your clothes have marks like that on them? Does your kid's clothes have marks all over them?" I swear, if only I could just throw hot coffee in her ugly face.copyright protection300PENANABZh6gd7ttb
Thankfully, I didn't work with Ruth the next day. Jerry was there at first when I went in and Brenda came in around four. No problems there. I looked at the schedule and I don't have to work with Ruth until next Friday. But I have to work with her both Friday and Saturday night. And if they make me come in on Sunday, I would have to work with her then too. PLEEEEEEAASSSEEEEE don't make me come in Sunday.copyright protection300PENANAyxNiWOctdF
Anyway, I woke up around nine on Saturday and me and Bunny had ourselves some waffles and bacon for breakfast. No not toaster waffles. Waffles you make in the iron. Those will always be better.copyright protection300PENANAvciKOJFtHb
I really wanted to spend time with Bunny before I had to go to work, but God the house was a mess. Sink full of dishes, carpet that desperately needed vacuuming, laundry that needed to be washed, counters that needed to be wiped, it was a lot. Not only that, but we're already running low on groceries. I have no freaking excuse. Yeah sure, I've been doing algebra homework and writing essays, but I've also been wasting time playing video games and watching anime. I need more freaking self-discipline.copyright protection300PENANA5in73BdWtu
So I spent about about an hour getting the dishes washed and the counter wiped. Then I threw in a load of laundry and begin vacuuming the carpet. The whole time, Bunny stood right by me and told me all about the fun she had with Kaitlyn on Friday. I was just becoming more and more excited for Sunday. copyright protection300PENANAdMPMC9DtOv
It was already past noon by the time I finished cleaning everything up, which obviously meant I needed to start getting ready for work. Bunny was still in her pajamas, so I told her to get dressed to go to Kaitlyn's. After I put my uniform on, I walked to the living room and Bunny was wearing a bathing suit. This little girl, I swear.copyright protection300PENANAPKEjLfvpUn
After Bunny was finished laughing like a hyena, she ran back over to her room and put some actual clothes on. After that, I got Bunny's bag together and we headed off to the Bloomfield's. I think I still had about forty minutes before work. Perfect timing.copyright protection300PENANAjyOhwEr99r
Said hi to the Bloomfield's, they wished me good luck at work again, hug and kiss goodbye from my Bunny, average day with Jerry and Brenda, picked up Bunny around one in the morning. End of the day.copyright protection300PENANAmzz6Ow0lXm
Sunday morning I did an extra great job on doing Bunny's hair, which was another extremely cute sock bun. Went perfect with her pretty white dress. I got at least five compliments at church about how pretty Bunny looked. Like I said, these compliments just warm my heart.copyright protection300PENANAjwnWp4YX5Q
After church, we drove back home, changed into casual clothes, and then headed to the Bloomfield's. It was time for a day of fun.copyright protection300PENANAVCugWD5jAX
Savannah once again joined on the play date. This came as a total surprise. And pretty exciting news for Bunny. This did mean that Savannah's mom (I'll call her by her name Melissa from now on) joined us in the living room while the girls were playing. Once again, she treated me like I was an immature kid and kept on glaring at me. She barely even spoke to me. At least she shook my hand and said Hello.copyright protection300PENANAa8jkx5Zp7l
Crystal at least continued to treat me like a regular parent. We talked about each other's weeks and I just talked about work, how much I hated Ruth, and how much of a prick Mr. Doherty was to me the other day. This led to more encouraging and supportive words from Crystal, who was really sorry that Mr. Doherty treated me that way and even wanted to go say something to him herself. I just said: "It's fine. I'm old enough to fight my own battles."copyright protection300PENANAmlai3CICx2
Crystal: "Sure. I'm just trying to help out. That's what friends do."copyright protection300PENANAPgwZuSYKQc
Yep, Crystal is now officially my friend. And I guess that also makes Daniel my friend. I'm not just friends with a stuffed monkey or a toe (or a journal, I guess), but I'm now friends with people again. It felt too good to be true.copyright protection300PENANA9p1mCmA9uP
Bunny, Kaitlyn, and Savannah were all playing upstairs in Kaitlyn's room with their Frozen dolls for the first hour or so. I went up and said Hi to them at one point and Bunny happily talked about the adventure that the Elsa triplets were having. It was so precious.copyright protection300PENANADEyhNZ5fHr
I wanted to stay and watch them, but I decided to give them some space. This was their play date, after all. Thankfully, the girls ended up taking all their Barbie dolls down to the living room and ended up playing with them right there. So there was one point where I could actually watch them. I paid very close attention to what the girls were doing while Crystal and Melissa talked with each other. I just love seeing my little girl spend time with her friends. It just really shows her cute little personality and how well she interacts with others. That, and the things the girls do together is just plain adorable to watch. I mean, how can you not smile at three little girls pretending like their Barbies were getting ready for a party and a bunch of boys were coming over? (I think that's what was happening) copyright protection300PENANAW8FisB1rBn
So the girls eventually went back to Kaitlyn's room (and left all the Barbies in the living room, I really hope they knew who's was who's) and we heard a bunch of laughing and shouting, and it turned out that the girls were having a pillow fight. Who said you can only have them during sleepovers?copyright protection300PENANAIAcTVrNrtn
Crystal told Kaitlyn to not be too rough and I said: "Just tell them they can go all out as long as no one breaks any bones." I was obviously just kidding (Crystal even laughed), but Melissa started glaring at me again and shaking her head. Yeah, it was going to take a while with her.copyright protection300PENANAbO0nNJ9aAn
Crystal and Melissa continued to talk together while I just threw a comment in every so often. Melissa brought up at one point that she was divorced, and that she and Savannah's dad still fight every so often. But she made it clear that they never fight around Savannah. That...actually really touched me. For reasons that I don't feel like talking about right here. All I'll say is that I'm glad that Melissa and her ex are thinking about their child despite the negative feelings they have for one another. I couldn't help but say: "It's good that y'all don't fight around her" to Melissa. Melissa just nodded and kept on talking to Crystal.copyright protection300PENANABumwJsg8Nt
The girls continued to play for the next few hours. At one point, they all ran downstairs and started dancing around the living room, holding their arms to their side and spinning around. Me, Crystal, and Melissa just watched and smiled. It was so cute. Then Kaitlyn said: "Mommy, we're going to do a dance! Put on dance music!"copyright protection300PENANAwsNMfiugvm
Crystal: "Oh course, Honey! But let me get my camera first!"copyright protection300PENANALvB35joXmu
So Crystal grabbed her camera and put on that stupid "Whip/Nae Nae" song, which the girls all danced too. As much as I hated that song, it was still adorable to watch these girls dance. They had all this sass when they were dancing (especially Bunny) and just the cutest moves. I would so watch a marathon of this.copyright protection300PENANANRScSmbtyl
That Nae Nae song wasn't the only song they danced to. They also danced to the Taylor Swift song Shake It Off and some Katy Perry song that I don't know the name of. I guess I was watching a marathon of stinking cute sassy dancing. Oh man, I was just dying.copyright protection300PENANAsYgAxpGjkl
After the dancing was finally over, it was already after five. I knew I needed to find Bunny something to eat for dinner before it got too late. And right then and there, Crystal asked if me and Melissa wanted to stay for dinner. How could I resist?copyright protection300PENANAJeuDB4Wbmm
Melissa ended up staying as well, though she still hardly spoke to me at the table. Crystal and Melissa mainly talked to each other, so I had time to get to know Daniel better. He works as a probation officer and likes to watch football. That's what I mainly got out of our conversation. I'm sorry Daniel, I usually zone out when people talk about sports on TV. (And pretty much sports in general) Then again, I'm pretty sure he zoned out when I told him about my favorite animes.copyright protection300PENANAk5hp3MoID2
So it was me and Daniel talking to each other, Crystal and Melissa talking to each other, and Bunny, Kaitlyn, and Savannah having a cute conversation with each other. And also Lauren in her own little world up in her high chair. I seriously miss my little baby Bunny.copyright protection300PENANABoIhVn0pLk
Crystal made spaghetti and it was AWESOME. Probably the greatest spaghetti I've ever had. I should've asked her for that recipe. Hell, I may ask her in a little bit once I drop Bunny off.copyright protection300PENANAN1dFtUxSyD
After dinner, it was close to seven and it was about time to say our goodbyes. Bunny was not at all disappointed to leave since she knew she was going to be back the very next day. I think Savannah actually may be joining again as well. God, these little girls are so freaking lucky.copyright protection300PENANAoNaSAYX2Iv
Anyway, me and Bunny soon got back home and we had ourselves a little tickle fight on the couch before I put her in the bath. Because why not? She started this one anyway. Oh...and this happened.copyright protection300PENANAgS3ODOwP2c
After I laid down on the couch to catch my breath, Bunny suddenly shouted: "Surprise!" and stuck her butt right in my face. And then she farted. copyright protection300PENANAyv9t6ip5iX
No...just no.copyright protection300PENANAxqABYw7vNF
I jumped up and started waving my hand up in down in front of my face.copyright protection300PENANApaBqW54hdx
Me: "Eeeeww! Gross! That stinks!"copyright protection300PENANATk4Ox1vMBP
No exaggeration there. That fart smelled BAD. Was it the spaghetti? In that case, maybe I shouldn't get that recipe.copyright protection300PENANARjZw82qD0X
Bunny laughed so hard that she fell to the ground. Her face was about as red as a tomato. I'm thinking about putting her in a zoo. Is there an exhibit for crazy bunnies?copyright protection300PENANAfQH9qQXekL
After...that little incident...I gave Bunny her bath (I got pretty wet again), we talked with each other in the living room for a little bit (where Bunny mentioned the Minecraft thing), I read her a story (Oh, The Places You'll Go, yep it was a Dr. Seuss night) and then some goodnight kisses. Bunny kissed me practically all over my face last night and gave me one of the sweetest hugs ever. I just love how quickly she flips from goofy mode to sweetie pie mode. That's just how my little Bunny works.copyright protection300PENANA4taHIF2w46
So overall, the weekend was great. I just can't be any more grateful for the Bloomfields coming into our lives. If only I could find more people like them.copyright protection300PENANAugsu0WRpMS
Okay, so I was a lot more productive so far today. I've actually been using my time wisely today and I finally started studying for my test on Thursday. I still have two essays to do by then. I probably should've gotten one done today, but I still have about two days. I'll just knock one out tomorrow and the last one on Wednesday. I've actually made a vow not to play any video games or watch any anime until after I finish the essays and take that test. If I break my vow, I'll give Bunny permission to slap my face super hard.copyright protection300PENANA0J52yXUI2D
Groceries, groceries. I really need to go shopping this week. All I have left are a few canned soups. Maybe I'll go after I get out of English tomorrow. Hopefully I'll still have time to do the essay.copyright protection300PENANARpXeo3wsWW
And I just realized I have a load of laundry in the dryer. And I probably won't have time to fold it before Bunny gets out of school. Damn it. Well, I guess if I don't want to overload myself, I better get that taken care of tonight before I go to sleep. God, why is everything always a pain after a great weekend is over?copyright protection300PENANAuZhzqHKjv8
Okay, time to get Bunny's bag packed.copyright protection300PENANA6adRVxDXw0
