Jason's POV:
Back at the prison:
I was stuck, and I had to keep telling myself that I was wrong and that I would find a way out.
It was morning, and the guards were coming around for a pat down and cell check, "Every out of their cells."
I sat in my cell for about an hour until "Group 5, lunch time," She banged on my door, "Come on, Darlin, ya don't got all day."
I got up and headed to the cafeteria. I sat down. " Uhhh... Do you have anything else? "It's beans, potatoes and chicken, or nothing, so what you want, food or starvation."
He plopped a near frozen piece of chicken, extremely thick potatoes, and almost melted beans. As he handed me my tray, he placed a knife and spoon. "For the chicken Sweet pea."
I went and sat down. As I finished my meal, it struck me. I had acquired the skills of picking locks at a young age. If I could only remember how to, I could use the ends of the utensils to pick the lock.
As night fell, I pretended to sleep, and once the guards had left, I told my roommate about the plan so that we could escape and he could possibly help me get to my sister.
I went to the door as quiet as possible, picked the lock and escaped. We proceeded to the broom closet where they kept the tools and grabbed a pair of wire cutters and headed to the door, where we were met by a guard.
We quickly hid. "Dude, I know how important this is for you, so you're going to have to continue without me." And with that he headed straight to the doors where the guard stopped him and took him back to his cell.
While the guard took him back I took the opportunity to sneak out. I was free, finally free after so long.
As soon as I got out I realized I hadn't thought this far yet, so I look over to find a guard who had seemingly fallen asleep. So I took him to the nearby porta potty and swapped clothes with him, and a plan instantly came to me.
So I went back in and went to the chiefs office and told him, "Excuse me Sir I am here to inform you that I have gotten a much better job and today will be my last day working her."
"Sounds good, you got your resignation letter."
I froze not know what to do so, "Yes, I do, I mean I did I must have dropped it some where."
"Well, stop wasting my time and go find it." "Yes Sir."
I rushed to the guards break room and grabbed a paper and pen and began writing:
Dear Chief,
I am writing to tell you that today shall be my last day working here and that I have found a better job in the city that pays more. It has surely been a pleasure working here with you and the rest of the workers.
As this is my last day I would like to inform that some of these people do not belong here and that crimes such as going 6 mile over the speed limit is not a good reason to put some one in jail.
Yours Sincerely,
Officer Jacobs.
After writing this letter I returned to chiefs office and handed him the note. "Sir here is my resignation letter."
"Good well your shift is over anyways. Jacobs you may leave, enjoy your life. I know I sure will."
And with that I had once again escaped jail. I hoped in what supposedly was Officer Jacobs's car as the keys were in my pocket. I headed through the city to the mansion and there I stood in front of the door, waiting, like a lion with its prey.
