“No daddy, no!!!”
“Shut the fuck up and stay down you ungrateful brat!”
“For gods sake Brent get off of her!”
“Shut the fuck up!”

The sun crawled above the tree line nearby, shining a nice warm breath over the grass and brick buildings of a particular quiet region near a bustling school. Along the climbing walls as the sun hit a stone bench against the wall and placed upon it, a young woman of about twenty-two, wielding and using a sketch pad & pencil.
Occasional glances up with her emerald eyes shining in the light, taking in the beauty of the scene of the trees, the birds, the sun, the many animals, a smile on her face as to her left a laptop with a video chat up, “-really need to visit me Zero, you’d like it here.”
“Heh heh, I’m sure I would.”
On the screen, a male wearing a black jacket & gray shirt with brown hair covering half of his face though his focus was not on that of the camera but rather something else lower on his device as typing was heard, “Those guys are still yapping up a storm.”
“Oh let them go Zery and just focus on your writing.”
“So long as you focus on your sketching.”
“Ha, way ahead of you on that one man. Classes are over for another couple of weeks as I said so, plenty of time to do this.”
“Yes but you can’t draw half of a scene and come back to it a week later. Thing is, I can write now and pick up a year later if I have to.”
“True but then how happy would it make you if you had no outlet? Your head would explode with the ideas you come up with!”
“Outlets are nice.”
“Yes.”
Her pencil continued along as the typing continued the sounds of nature calling forth, a smile spreading from the peace of drawing, nature itself, and talking to Zero, “You know Alexander-”
“Keep calling me Zero or Zery, I’m not a fan of my real name you know Autumn.”
“Heh, right, sorry, I just like it. Anyways, I was just wondering something...”
“Hmm? And what might that be?”
“Do you think the next time I visit family in the US we could meet up?”
“Oh I suppose we could, I’m not likely going anywhere anytime soon.”
“Good because I don’t have anyone else I can really play games or anything with. I’m totally going to challenge you to a Mario Party off.”
“Keep everything after number eight out of the mix and you have yourself a deal.”
“Haha, alright, alright.”
Placing the pencil on the sketch pad and reaching left, she swiftly picks up something with paper rolled around, smoking at the end, bringing it to her mouth and inhaling for a bit before exhaling, “Ahhhhhh… yeah, that’s good.”
“Considering what that does for you it makes me wonder what the rest of the world would be like if it were high.”
“Oh I know, it might actually be tolerable to live on this planet in that case right? Heh heh.”
Placing it down and grabbing the pencil, she began to scribble something on the paper a little more and nodded, “There. Would you like to see?”
“Certainly.”
Taking the pencil and placing it in her pocket, she then grabbed and turned the sketch pad round, showing the paper to the camera as Zero looked up to what was his screen, examining it, smirking, “Heh… breathtaking.”
“Awww, thanks bro, I try.”
“Try what, it’d the environment that’s trying,” he began to chuckle.
“Shut it-” she said looking in the top right corner, “Oh, it’s time for me to head to the assembly,” she murmured.
“Don’t worry about it, we’ll pick this up later ok?”
“Yeah, definitely. Bye Zery-” she chirped, clicking a button on her laptop which closed the window, stopping the video chat.

‘Well, Autumn’s moving on. Entertain me you bean.’
‘loser’
‘Shut up Elliot.’
-
Clicking and clacking of a keyboard as yet another girl in our story was sketching.
-
‘i’m drawing’
‘Why is it that everyone I know draws?’
‘the world may never know why you write either’
‘I’m surprised you have time, doesn’t your mother usually yell at you about now?’
‘Ha, no she’s gone today probably buying more shit to stick in her mouth’
‘Alcoholism is such a problem.’
‘She doesn’t get drunk’
‘How shocking, the one good thing she doesn’t do. So when do you move out again?’
‘next week’
‘Neat’
‘Yes finally I can get the hell out of here’
‘Does that mean I can openly insult your mother and not have to worry about anything happening like her taking the internet out?’
‘yes’
‘FUCKING FINALLY, I hate that bitch.’
‘lol’

The sound of a guitar heard through a large house, amps kicking it up with a very metal sound to the music as the artist began to thrash his chosen tune, one that sounds very like the band Mayhem. In merely a few minutes though, it stopped as a loud voice rang out, “Woo!! That’s enough warm up, now to continue the album!”
“Will you turn that shit off!?”
“Shut up Auntie!”
“I don’t know why you bother, you won’t amount to shit the way you sound!”
“It’s called metal and I’ll do what I want, it’s my life!”
“Get over it then because life is full of bullshit!”
“I know that a lot better than your wrinkly old ass!!”
“Jesus Christ you and that lady go at it like hell bro.”
“I know it’s just that… ugh, I’m not appreciated here Zero.”
“Eh… that’s just people in general. They shit all over talent just because someone else can do what they can’t.”
“I know, bitch just doesn’t understand how good Mayhem is.”
“Under appreciation for the fine arts, believe me, I know how that goes.”
“Yeah I can put up with it for now… dammit to hell. One day though her Christian ass is getting my fist in her face.”

These are but the tales of only a few of the souls that inhabit our world, far from knowing that their desire for change might just be around the darkest corner of our reality… time will tell though should they live to see the darkest days.
