You read that right! This blog is dedicated to making videos of reading other Penanans' works! We plan to first post them on Youtube, then put them up on here.

Everyone knows about me, Monos, but Darkside isn't a Penanan, though is still open for doing reads. They are my partner in writing for the Pharmakembru Series. They also have the Youtube channel in which they will post the videos. I think it's a great way of getting Penana out to the world and help make other writers known!

Now, even though the title says Monos & Darkside, we won't be reading together, as it is physically impossible for us to be in the same room... Or town...

What we plan to do is switch readers depending on the story.

Just some rules:

1. Make sure your story is readable. Few misspellings and grammar mistakes as possible.

2. The stories and chapters cannot be more than 10-15 minutes read. This is both because of Youtube's video limit for us and our attention spans.

3. We will make comments. It's unavoidable. I will try to stay positive, because I know that not everyone will like a critique.

4. I rated this blog as R, because we will accept all work - violence, poetry, fanfiction, even sex.

5. The stories requested should already be posted on Penana. If a friend would like their work read, they should join up!

6. The videos will feature drawings of us reading, instead of our faces, as we taped over our webcams (which destroyed them).

7. You can request a specific reader. Maybe in the future, we'll let other people volunteer to read with us, but for now, we just want to get everything started.

8. If you are okay with us being critical with your work, please state so when asking us to read it.

~The Readers~

Monos: Hello! Stories are very inspirational and I would love to see what people come up with! I will mostly focus on reading the story and save my critiques for last. Now, I can get serious with critiques, but I try to always say one positive thing about the work. I might be a little more casual with friends. I'm not much of a vocal reader, which I hope I'll improve on as I post more videos.

Darkside: Yo. Call me Dark or Scott. Or just Darkside. I'm a better reader than Monos and I love doing different voices, since I'm doing some voice acting and all. It'll be fun changing things up! >*D

As for critiques, I'm gonna be blunt: I'll be casual and I'll swear. I'm not gonna hold back any comments, especially towards the sex scenes! Although it'll be totally funny if I get through those reading them all in perfect melodious, maritimey monotone~!

Note: Darkside is a mood swinger and will shift attitudes, but their reading voice is much stronger than mine right now.

​We only have five spaces right now to get us started, but I hope that we can increase the number as time goes by!
