Series 1 of the Starfall Initiative Saga
Book One - Dying Shadows
The 3200's are certainly something to be reckoned with.
Levi Troy knows that far too well. In a matter of months, his life has spiralled out of control and now he stands against the menace of a despotic hegemony that call themselves the Red Star Riders.
All the odds are stacked against him, as with anyone else fighting the war. But once you've been spot?
You can't be unseen.
In an abode of industry, a youthful figure diligently plied the keys of an apparatus, casting intermittent glances at the chronometer then redirecting his gaze to the illuminated screen, resolutely continuing his labor. For an extended span, he had inhabited this domain. When the cloak of night descended at the ninth hour, the young man retraced his steps homeward to a modest dwelling, observing it pensively, murmuring softly, "At last, the cessation of labor. Time hath traversed significantly—approximately nine lunar cycles, if my calculation holds true."
In the sanctum of industry, a young soul diligently plied the levers of a contraption, stealing fleeting glances at the timepiece before fixing his gaze upon the luminous screen, steadfast in his duties. For an enduring span, he inhabited this realm. As the cloak of night fell upon the ninth hour, the young man retraced his path homeward, towards a modest dwelling, contemplating it gravely, murmuring softly, "At length, respite from toil. Time has journeyed notably—nearly nine lunar cycles, if my estimation holds true."
Surveying his surroundings, he acknowledged this domain yet remained unaware of its precise nature. Nine lunar cycles had passed, yet the fate of his kin—parents and a younger sibling—remained shrouded beyond the distant horizon. Mio lamented, "Ah, might a return to them be within my grasp?"
During these cycles, sporadic were his ventures into the sacred confines of the system's training ground, seeking enhancement for his physical form. Despite the ordeals, Mio did not shun these physical trials.
Glancing at the calendar, he pondered, "On the morrow, the seventh day dawns, offering reprieve. A fitting time to revisit the training grounds anon. Therein lies the quest to fathom the realm of this Kamen Rider."
Fatigue weighed upon him, and he succumbed to slumber upon the bedstead. At dawn, Mio awoke invigorated, hastening through his preparations, nourishing himself, and setting forth towards the training ground.
After sixty intervals, he emerged, bearing bruises upon his physical frame, his stride faltering. Providentially, the system's healing enchantment swiftly mended him. The vestiges of injury vanished, and Mio continued upon his path.
Gazing upon the vast expanse, he contemplated deeply, "Which realm does this encompass? Shall unveiling accompany the pursuit of this quest?"
Yin, a quiet but troubled young man, resides in his books and love for poetry, always finding himself near the river or in his small library. Though he may be tranquil, his life is definitely the opposite.
Yang, quite the opposite of Yin, who’s full of life and brightness, also has struggles too. He has to take care of his parent’s children and help Yin find different ways to live, which is a burden on him.
Set in 1628, in a small village called Magome, known as one of the prettiest villages in the Edo Period, is where our BL takes place. :) <3

(Hi!🥰 Authors note, no, this is not based off of Heaven’s Official Blessing. It’s set in the time around it, but I did not intend to copy the story. I tried posting this on TikTok once and I got a bit of hate. I haven’t watched the show or read the books or what it’s from. И нет, I don’t believe in the ‘Yin-woman/Yang-men’ or vice versa. This story and intro is not made by ChatGPT either!!! Story cover is from Ethan Davis!)
I am not from Japan and I’m just using the info I look up and know, please correct me if I get the culture wrong🥰 )

Arythur takes a deep breath, crisp air filtering through the window accompanied by the warming rays of a beautiful sunset. He smiles at the scene, takes off his reading glasses, cleans them, and returns them to his face. The pen set aside for writing is picked up, the tip placed on an empty piece of paper.
“You think you are ready now?”
Arythur jumped in his seat and turned around, met with a rather tall being, with snowy wings sprouting from her back, and an extra set of arms from her sides. She tilted her head. A real divine, not an aasimar or a naïad,not just one with the blood of a divine washed down until it trickles into their genetics. And she was asking him, a normal human writer.
“I am, yes,” he said. His hand held his pen more firmly than strictly necessary now, as the goddess smiled.
“Then I suppose I will have to tell you now then.”
She shook her head, all with a grin on her face. Arythur felt the urge to grin back.
“Then I, Vera, will tell you of these heroes who saved the realm and made peace of their world. The word will be spread, the story told, and they will live on in legend.”
At this, Arythur did smile, but mentally noted he’d have to cut some of the prose for the first drafts.
The story had started with one young little boy, an aasamiar, who stole coin and kept secrets that would later be discovered. He was the best pickpocket, they said, despite his bloodline of gods and angels.
And he happened to be in a kingdom that was not the one he was born in.
The other character the story began with was a young adult lizardfolk who had never yet been beaten in hand-to-hand combat. He was a ruthless barbarian, and surprisingly naturalistic.
He’d run away from his native land after the gods had struck wrath upon each other.
Aura Volans is the only safe place, many were told in whispers.
And so it makes sense, Arythur thought, that the story began there.
A story with many stories unfolds as we dive into the lives of Pierce and Belle, two twins who couldn't be more different. Pierce, the king of high school popularity, excels on the football field as the MVP and captures the attention and envy of his peers with his striking good looks. However, behind his wall of success, Pierce struggles academically, with horrible grades. On the other hand, Belle, a hidden gem within the school community, embodies the persona of a down-low nerd. Her intelligence and impressive grades define her existence, while her presence often goes unnoticed by her peers. The contrast between Pierce and Belle's worlds becomes even more pronounced when they find themselves unjustly serving after-school detention for something they did not do. Unexpectedly, this punishment forces them to share a journey where their twin bond is put to the ultimate test. Doubts and uncertainties arise as both Pierce and Belle confront their world opinions about themselves and each other, leading them down an unforeseen path that challenges their identities. Oh, and did I forget to mention there's a killer loose in the school?
