Janine had always been fascinated with old, abandoned buildings. So, when she heard about an abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town, she couldn't resist exploring it. She entered the building, carefully making her way up the creaky stairs. Suddenly, she heard a voice whisper, "You should leave."
Janine looked around, but no one was there. She continued to climb the stairs, but the voice repeated, "You should leave." This time, it was louder and more insistent. Janine's heart was pounding in her chest, but she refused to be scared away from her adventure.
As she reached the top of the stairs, she saw a figure standing in front of her. It was a man, his face twisted in a grotesque sneer. "I warned you," he growled. "You should have left when you had the chance."
Janine's mind raced as she tried to figure out how to escape. She backed away slowly, but the man stepped forward, blocking her path. Suddenly, she tripped and fell backwards down the stairs, her body tumbling end over end.
When she finally came to a stop, she was lying on the floor, her body broken and lifeless. The man at the top of the stairs stood over her, a sinister smile on his face. "I told you," he whispered. "You should have left."
