I like favorites.
I mean, seriously, it's like I'm obsessed. I'm always coming up with new favorites so that I can have them. Someone could ask me my favorite in anything and I could answer. Or make a snappy retort. Depends on the day. Or so I thought.
My brother brought a new favorite to my attention. I have a favorite color (blue), book (The One and Only Ivan), movie (The Princess Bride), author(s) (Rick Riordan, J. K. Rowling, and J. R. R. Tolkien), drink (caramel milk), and food (burritos).
But do I have a favorite candy?
No, I do not.
Thus, I am on a quest! I shall find a favorite candy and rub it in my brothers face (I'm pathetic, I know). But, it'll make me feel good.
Song of the day:
Check it out folks!
And now I bid you adieu with a question! What's your favorite candy and why?
The Godless Legacy
For as long as she could remember, Alhena wanted only one thing. To become a Follower. In a world where the Pantheons are split and the fighting gets worse every day, she wants some semblance of love. But when she's claimed as Godless and tossed out into the street, she knows it's time for things to change. But the voice in her head won't shut up, the god of the sun won't leave her alone, and the Godless keep insisting she is the Mother. And all she wants is a nap.
Apollo has been confined to the earth for nigh on seventy years now. Pushed into the terran realm, he now spends his days roaming around with his twin, Artemis, and praying that he finds his soulmate. When he does, he is shocked that she's a Godless. And even if Ally is a little strange... Well, he is the god of the sun, prophecies, healing, etc. Who is he to judge?
Alhena and Apollo are evenly matched. Perfect soulmates. But Alhena's never been comfortable with perfection. The Revolution is coming. Blood will be spilt. And Alhena plans to laugh over the corpses of her family.
In Harper's world, there are two types of people. The Heroes and the Normals. Living as a Normal has always been her destiny. However, when she's injected with the blood of a Hero, her anatomy changes and she becomes one of them.
