I didn't end up going to the Boar Casino at 8 pm, because it just wasn't going to work. I would've had to sneak out and that's impossible to do, because Isaac already knew all the details. I did end up getting a lot of texts from Mitchell asking where I was, which I decided to not respond to until the morning.
Falling asleep was just as hard as it was back in my home world, because my thoughts spilled out of my mouth and I couldn't get any of them to shut up.
I awoke at almost noon, even though I went to bed right after taking my medicine at 9 pm, but I don't think I actually fell asleep until almost midnight. I felt my anxiety sink in, I must have been alone. I picked up my phone and called someone, but I wasn't sure who it was.
"Julian!" An exasperated Mitchell answered the phone, "Why weren't you at the Boar Casino last night? I waited all night."
"You didn't have to," I said, "I already told you I wasn't going to come anyway."
"So why are you calling right now?" Mitchell asked.165Please respect copyright.PENANApl7Npo4kWk
"Because I'm alone and scared," I said.
"So, what do you need me to do?" Mitchell asked.
"Can you keep me company?" I asked.
"Where are you?" Mitchell asked.
"I'm at home," I said.
"Do you want me to pick you up?" Mitchell asked.
"You don't know where I live," I said.
"You can tell me where you live and I can pick you up and keep you company," Mitchell said.
"But..." I said, "What if my Dad finds out? He said I smelled of an Alpha yesterday when he picked me up."
"I'll make sure to not do anything that would get my scent on you," Mitchell said.
"But what if I go into heat?" I asked.
"Take suppressors," Mitchell said. I sighed and looked for suppressors in my medication lock box. I found a whole bottle of them, so I checked the dosage and only put one dose in my pill case.
"Okay, I've got them," I said.
"So, Julian, where do you live?" Mitchell asked, "I'll come by in my car and pick you up."
"13 North Oak Street in G Village," I said, "It has a church on one side and a park on the other."
"I'll be there in about half an hour or so," Mitchell said.
"Please don't speed, Mitchell," I said, "I don't want you to get into an accident."
"I won't get into an accident," Mitchell said, "I promise you."
"I'll let you go now," I said, "So that you don't get a ticket for being on the phone and driving."
"Who said I was driving?" Mitchell asked.165Please respect copyright.PENANADA4fQnJe9x
"You have a personal driver?" I asked, amazed.
"I'm a professional actor," Mitchell said, "Why wouldn't I?"
"Okay," I said, "But..."165Please respect copyright.PENANAnjQl2tK9eT
"But what?" Mitchell asked.
"I have to do something really fast," I said, "Call me when you get here." I hung up. I quickly got changed into clothes and slicked back my hair with gel. I made sure my glasses were really clean. I ate something and took my meds.
By the time I was all ready, I got a call from Mitchell.
"You're here already?" I asked.
"Yes," Mitchell said, "It's okay that I parked in your driveway, right?"
"I guess," I said as I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen, to see a black sedan parked in the driveway out back. I stared for a bit, but hung up the phone and went outside. The driver came out and opened the back right door for me, showing me a waving Mitchell. I hopped into the car and looked around the car in awe. I got buckled and looked over at Mitchell. He smelled of limeade.
"Not going to say anything?" Mitchell asked, his voice sounded sweeter in person.
"I'm just in awe," I said, "I mean, it's nice to see you in person, when I'm not drunk."
"It's nice to meet you in person again," Mitchell said, "I think it's better when neither of us are drunk, as well. So, where do you want to go?"
"I want to explore the world!" I shouted.
"Unfortunately, we can't do that in one day," Mitchell said, "Is there anywhere close by that you want to go?"
"I want to go to C City," I said, "There are a lot of good things to eat there and I like going to that mall because it's so big."
"Okay," Mitchell said, "It's my treat."
"Sorry," I said, "I forgot that eating costs money... Maybe I should've thought of somewhere else."
"No," Mitchell said, "I don't mind at all. I just want to know what you like." Mitchell put his arm around my neck , which triggered my PTSD and I just about started crying because of the fear.
"Mitchell," I said, my voice sounding weepy, "Can you remove your arm?" Mitchell saw my face and quickly removed his arm from around me.
"Are you okay, Julian?" Mitchell asked, "What's wrong?"
"My neck is super sensitive, because of my PTSD," I said, "If anything touches my neck, I fear for my life." Mitchell wiped away my tears with his right hand.
"Who did this to you?" Mitchell asked.165Please respect copyright.PENANAObdV1lyKAs
"My ex that's in jail," I said. Mitchell pulled his right hand away and made a fist with his left hand.
"I'm going to kill this man," Mitchell said. I grabbed Mitchell's right hand and held it in my left.
"I don't want your hands to be covered in his blood," I said, "He's not worth it."
"But he tried to kill you," Mitchell said, "And I can't even mark you because your neck is too sensitive." I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry, so I just stared at him in disbelief.
"Where did you want to go?" the driver asked.
"There's this good boba tea place," I said, "Called Lion Sugar! And then we're going to go to the C City Mall and have more deliciousness."
"Lion Sugar?" Mitchell asked, "Like the one in N City?"
"The very same," I said, "Have you ever tried it?"
"I love that place," Mitchell said, "That's cool that there's one by you."
"Lion Sugar is 45 minutes away," the driver said, "Are you sure you want to go that far?"
"Yes!" I shouted, "We are going for a day trip!"
"But it's afternoon?" Mitchell said confused.
"Day trips don't have to be for a whole day," I said, "Sometimes they're only for 4 or so hours."
When we got to Lion Sugar, I quickly unbuckled my seatbelt, opened the door, and ran to the building with my arms laying flat against my sides.
"What are you?" Mitchell asked as soon as he got out of the car, "A penguin?" I looked back at him, he had these huge ass sunglasses on and a face mask.
"Come on," I said as I waved for Mitchell to come, "I really like boba tea!"
"Your hairstyle choice doesn't fit your image," Mitchell said.
"Shut up," I said, "Even if I wanted to have longer hair, I couldn't."
"Because of your neck?" Mitchell asked. I nodded.
"Come on, you're being so slow," I shouted with my eyes closed. When I opened my eyes, Mitchell grabbed my hand and pulled me inside Lion Sugar.
"Welcome to Lion Sugar," the Lion Sugar employee said from behind the counter, "Take a look at our menu and let me know when you're ready to order." I knew exactly what I wanted, so I looked over at Mitchell, who had his other hand on his chin. I slipped my hand out of his grip while he wasn't paying attention.
"I want the iced green tea," I said.
"I'll have the same," Mitchell said. I walked away to find a seat, there was a nice one in the back, so I sat on the booth side, leaving the chair side for Mitchell.
When Mitchell came back with the drinks, he had a hard time seeing me, so I waved. He finally saw me after a minute of me waving and put the drinks and straws on the table.165Please respect copyright.PENANArtGUqp2VdA
"Why are we all the way in the back, Julian?" Mitchell asked, angrily.
"Because it's easier to blend in over here," I said, "Also the bathroom is right there." Mitchell shook his head laughing.
"Your logic is a little screwy," Mitchell said. He opened his straw and stabbed his drink. I did the same and he pulled down his face mask. We both started drinking the boba tea.
I could feel eyes looking at me and Mitchell. I looked down at what the two of us were wearing. He was dressed in a leopard print button up, brown slacks, nice shoes, sunglasses, and a mask. Whereas I was wearing a t-shirt that had my book's couple kissing that said 'Raffry Forever' which was the ship's name, a pair of really short green shorts where my boxers were almost showing, and slip on sneakers.
"We got to go," I said. I grabbed our trash and threw it out in the trash can on my way out. Mitchell was right behind me as I got to the car. He opened the door for me and then went in on the other side.
"Do you want to go to a nearby hotel to recover?" Mitchell asked as his scent grew stronger. He took his sunglasses and face mask off. His driver sighed and started driving.
"I don't want to go to a hotel," I said, "I want to back home."
"Why not?" Mitchell asked as he put his hand on the part of my thigh that was bare, "Is my little Cherry afraid of little ol' me?" I frowned, why did he call me cherry? Do I smell of Cherries?
"So we're the Cherry Limeade couple?" I asked. Mitchell smirked. "Why am I the cherry? My deodorant smells like limes!" Mitchell laughed.
"How did you find lime scented deodorant?" Mitchell asked.
"I looked online," I said, "Besides, why do I get all the nicknames? I think I'll call you Dimitry."
"Then, I'll call you Raffiel," Mitchell said, "So we can be Raffry, like your shirt."
"No," I said, "You need another nickname, something that reminds me of you... How about 'leopard', because of your shirt?" Mitchell laughed. "And because you are ready to pounce on me."
