“It happened during the year 2024 and I was fortunate enough to see the phenomenon firsthand. It appeared just after Noon, when the sun was at its highest. The Sky darkened immediately as if some being had removed the sun. Then it was as if the being had grabbed hold of the sky and teared it apart, as if it was a piece of paper. The tear in the sky spanned the horizon and even then, one would not believe there was an end. As if the sky, around the world, had been parted. But we did not see the stars when the sky opened, it was a whirlpool of all the colors of blue. As the colous swirled and tumbled over each other as the vortex was slowly descending and changed from a whirlpool to a tornado, and as it touched the ground, the tornado started to shrink. All the colous of blue were seemingly compressed and contracted as it shrunk, smaller and smaller, and as it was about to become a singular pillar, it exploded. Streaks of teal and cobalt erupted across the sky, creating a painting of humongous proportions. It was beautiful. But the painting was slowly diffusing, sinking downward, falling to the earth like feathers of color. I was alone on the top of my apartment building having a cigarette when this all happened. And then I touched a sinking drop of mana.

“Once the voice had finished a warm feeling filled my body, a feeling of satisfaction. My headache had disappeared and my vision had stopped swirling.
