RING RING! RING!
"shut up" I moaned hitting the off button on my alarm clock. I lay there for a couple of more minutes before last night hit me, Luke and I broke up tears filling my eyes, "WAIT WHY AM I CRYING?" he's the one who messed up not me. I roll out of bed go to the shower, to do my normal routine. I grab my phone and portable speaker, press the first station I see on my pandora which happens to be today's hits. I scream and sing along when I hear what song is on while trying to wash my hair.

BANG! BANG! "Lelani?". "You will not use that kind of language in my house!" my mom yells.
"Sorry mom" I yell while laughing.
I turn off the shower when I get the last bit of shampoo out of my hair and off my body. I get out of the shower grab a towel, dry myself off, walk over to the mirror, as I look in the mirror I see my usual self-dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and brown skin. " Oh, shit I'm late" I hiss, running to my room, I grab a tan button up shirt, blue skinny jeans, brown flats, and my brown shoulder bag. I run down the stairs grab a muffin and my car keys, "bye mom" I yell
"Bye sweetie" mom yells back
'Now that I'm alone" I grin, I start my car and turn on my music " yes right where I left off

I enter the school gates automatically people start staring, but I don't care
who y' all think y' all frontin' on?
I cut the engine and look in the mirror one last time "well here goes nothing" I mumble. walking into the school doors I see my everyday friends Wes, Nash, Florence, and my best friend Leah.
"Hey," Leah and I say running to each other
"Hey" Lani wes, and Florence say
"Hey, where's Nash?" I say
"Is that even a question?" Leah says

RING! the first bell ringsUgh! I guess I'll see you guys later, Leah and I have first period together my worst subject" MATH" "Hey Lani? have you seen the new kid? he's hot" Leah says "Leah I'm not looking for a guy right now"I say,"I know you and Luke just broke up, but you're going to have to move on sooner or later" Leah says "I know" I mumble. We get into math and go to our assign seats, Leah sits on my left side, Nash sits on my right side, speaking of Nash, he comes walking into the room "NASH" I practically scream "Hey Lani" he says while wrapping his arms around my waist, "where were you?" I say, "I woke up late," he says yawning "oh," I say before I could ask another question miss Edwards walks into the classroom. " Good morning class today we are going to be working on nested fractions" "ugh" I mumbled "is there a problem Lelani?". No" I say, good so shall we start? "no" I mumbled before we could start the class room door opened and a boy with dirty blond hair, hazelish eyes,white shirt, black vans and a skateboard "Woah he's cute" I mumble he looked my way and smirked "wait did he hear that?" Nah I say.
"Hi I'm Connor Donovan, I'm in this class for first period class" he says "hi Connor in your math teacher miss Edwards" she says "I know" says Connor well aren't you smart? says miss Connor "let's not get on each other's bad sides," Connor says with a devilish smile "fair enough Mr. Donovan," she says with sarcasm. You can have a seat next to Lelani, second to last row in the middle
"Thanks," he says and makes his way over to the seat behind me "who peed in her cheerios?" he whispered to me while trying to make himself comfortable in the chair.
