“White Past: Hidden Ambition.”
“Inari is shown running from door to door throughout the Land of Waves, trying to rally the villagers into defending Tazuna and the bridge. Meanwhile, the Nine-Tails chakra recedes after Naruto uses it to punch Haku while dispelling his mirrors, breaking his opponent’s mask, and revealing him as the youth he previously conversed with. Asking Naruto to kill him as he had failed Zabuza, a flashback reveals that he had inherited his ability from his mother as they lived in the Land of Water. But as those with Kekkei Genkai are demonized, Haku is forced to watch his mother murdered by his father before subconsciously invoking his powers to kill his father and the angry mob. Sometime later, Haku was found by Zabuza and trained to hone his skills to be of use to the swordsman. Meanwhile, having sensed that Naruto only released a fraction of the Nine-Tails’s chakra, Kakashi summons several dogs to find and restrain Zabuza. At that time, Haku manages to convince Naruto to kill him before seeing Kakashi about to finish Zabuza off with his Lightning Blade Technique.”

Analysis
Inari is shown to have courage. For instance, he is knocking from door to door, rallying the villagers to defend Tazuna and his bridge. Although Inari knows it will cost him his life, he is willing to protect the ones he loves; hence, he is following in the footsteps of his father figure, Kaiza. Thus, Inari is not only courageous but also brave.
There is a huge theme of pain and suffering, which is shown through Haku’s flashbacks. According to Haku, he inherited the Kekkei Genkai from his mother. However, everyone feared its power, so his mother never told his father or anyone else in the village about the Kekkei Genkai. The reason is that if anyone knew about it, they would have been murdered for possessing the kekkei genkai. When his father found out the truth about his mother possessing the kekkei genkau, he murdered her. Moreover, when Haku found out about what his father did to his mother, the tragic situation forced Haku to invoke his powers to kill his father and the angry mob. Haku experienced great pain and loneliness because he was an orphan, and no one wanted to take care of him. He felt worthless until he met Zabuza, who gave him the purpose to live again, which was to be a swordsman. This explains why Haku feels the need to protect Zabuza and make sure his dreams come true. His loyalty to Zabuza runs deep, to the extent that Haku asks Naruto to kill him because he has failed Zabuza. This story is full of tragedy from Haku’s past life, and it explains why he has the no-kill policy. He probably felt bad for killing his father, even though he killed his mother.
Kakashi summons several dogs to restrain Zabuza, and he wants to finish off Zabuza with the Lightening Blade Technique. This leaves the audience in suspense about what is going to happen next.
The lesson from this episode is that one shouldn’t judge another person’s character without knowing the full story first, just like Haku had valid reasons for being loyal to Zabuza.
