During this time, Sakura is unaware that her team is being watched by Team Dosu and wards off a squirrel that they had placed a paper bomb on without knowing that it had been made into an explosive device. Soon after, the Sound Genin make their presence known as they reveal their intent to kill Sasuke while dealing with the numerous traps that Sakura had prepared to defend her teammates. Luckily, having been guided by the squirrel after saving it, Lee arrives to protect Sakura. As the battle ensued, Lee used the Primary Lotus on Dosu, but the impact was cushioned by Zaku Abumi, and Lee was knocked out.”

Analysis
Sakura is shown to be caring towards her teammates when she tends to their wounds overnight. Moreover, the fact that she prepared numerous traps to defend her teammates shows that Sakura has changed. She is shown to be courageous and willing to defend her teammates no matter what; hence, she starts to mature as a ninja. In other words, there is an element of change when Sakura goes from being dependent on others to being independent in terms of finding ways to protect her comrades. She is a dynamic character who grows as a result of the story’s actions.
The element of love is evident in this episode. Lee admitted to Sakura the first time they met that he loved her and that he wanted to protect her. This is why he arrives to save Sakura from the enemy, Team Dosu. Lee, in this case, is shown to be the type of person who keeps his promises. Moreover, despite the Primary Lotus being a dangerous jutsu, Lee is willing to use it to protect Sakura, which proves that Lee genuinely cares for Sakura even though she doesn’t love him back.
Despite Lee’s efforts to protect Sakura, he is defeated, which leaves Sakura to stop the enemy. Therefore, there is an unfolding of events since the audience is aware that in the next episode, Sakura will fight against the enemy, Team Dosu.
The lesson from this episode is that if someone cares about you, they are willing to protect you no matter what. Lee was willing to risk it all to save Sakura.
