Red Hider had lived for centuries within the stone-cold walls of her ancient kingdom, hidden beneath the earth and dusted over by time. To the world, she was nothing more than a myth. The Crimson Princess, the one who once ruled with unmatched beauty and unmatched wrath. But to herself, she was simply Red, the girl who had been cursed into eternal slumber, awakened only by the rare flicker of magic like the footsteps of a curious boy.
He came every day.
Blue. That was the name he gave her when he first stumbled into her forgotten chamber wide-eyed, breathless, and curious. He wasn't like the treasure-hunters or scholars who had visited in the past. No, he was different. He came not for riches or knowledge. He came to talk.
And every day, she listened.
At first, she said nothing, frozen in the shadows of her broken throne. But he spoke anyway about stars, about songs, about what the sky looked like after the rain. His voice, though often unsure, filled the tomb with a warmth she hadn’t felt in centuries.
Then one day… he stood trembling in front of her.
"W-why? Why me?" she whispered, truly alive for the first time as she watched him fumble through his words. "Today, out of all days, that boy just stood there, stuttering through his confession."
He loved her.
Not the legend. Not the throne. Not the name.
He loved her Red, the forgotten girl inside the cursed shell.
She stared at him. Her heart stirred, foreign and unsteady. Could this be what they call love?
"I am nothing special," she murmured, her voice brittle. “I was meant to be forgotten.”
"But you're not," Blue said, stepping closer. “You listened. You remembered. You smiled.”
Tears welled in her eyes. For the first time, she didn’t feel like a relic. She felt seen. Known.
The ancient stones around them shimmered faintly. The curse, that cruel, centuries-old enchantment cracked.
And in that moment, Red Hider took Blue’s hand.
She wasn’t a ghost anymore.
She was just a girl.
And he was the boy who found her.
"Beyond culture, beyond curse love still desires."20Please respect copyright.PENANAWYruatZDc3
