Fred stepped forward, expressionless. His eyes seemed dead to the world. Jedrek snarled as his fangs grew bigger. "I should have known! That's why you decided to take control of the group! Leo! Did he...!?"
Fred could hear Leo at the other end of his earphone, screaming. He turned it off and shrugged. "He's an idiot. It was easy to fool him. I only took an interest in him for his gadgets and ensured he didn't dig deep in things he shouldn't have."
Alesia felt angry tears forming in her eyes. "How long have you-!?"
"He's my pops. I've been in contact with him once in a while."
"Those soldiers of yours they...?" asked Jedrek.
"They were easy to bribe."
Dr. Antony patted his son's shoulder. "He is like me every day. My son informed me of everything that had been going on. That's how we got your hiding spot and everything happening. He brought you to us."
"Well, pops, I'll wait for you in the office." Fred walked out. Jedrek screamed, and the guards got hold of him. Jedrek fought and tried to get to Alesia, but she pulled away from him. The two let go of each other, trying to reach each other, but they were dragged away.
"Oh, don't worry, you two will see each other again. However, we have something in store for you, our little half-breed. Later on, we will test you against one of our subjects that you would be interested in. As for you, my dear will keep watch. We do want you to be his motivation. Take him away and give him the necessary food and drinks. He will need all his strength on what will happen next," said Dr. Logan.
Alesia was pushed back, and the door closed. She banged on the door. From afar, she could hear Jedrek screaming for her.

Jedrek was chained to the wall; he was unable to move. He was locked in a white room that was made of brick and had no windows. He didn't care about his well-being, but more about Alesia's. Jedrek knew it wouldn't be easy, but he hadn't expected Alesia to be pregnant with his child. He was afraid for them both and knew that Dr. Antony and Logan would never let her leave, nor would he.
"Hey, Jedrek! Can you hear me?" said a voice.
Jedrek almost forgot that he still had the earpiece and was still connected to Leo. "Mmmhmm. Yeah, but I can't talk too loudly, or they will be suspicious."
"I heard everything that was happening. Are you sure the plan is going to work?"
Jedrek chuckled. "I knew this would happen, and some of us would not leave here alive."
It was silent on the other end. "I also heard about Alesia. Is it true that she's...?"
"Yeah." Jedrek was silent for a bit. "Hey Leo, could I ask you for a favor? I know we haven't known each other long, but what I am about to ask you is the favor of a lifetime."
"Yeah...sure..." Jedrek whispered something to Leo, and when he was done, Leo was silent. "What are you trying to say?"
"You know, Leo. Please."
"What you told me is crazy. It's as if...!"
"Leo. Please."
Leo let out a long sigh. "Okay, I promise."
Suddenly, the door opened; six guards entered. They all had weapons. The guards unchained him from the wall and got hold of him. However, Jedrek did not fight; he was forced to walk wherever they took him.
Flashbacks came to him as a child as he was forced through the corridors. He was taken to an arena, where he was forced to fight with other soldiers. He knew Dr. Antony and Logan were cruel and sadistic, and they were planning something vile, but he did not know what.
After what seemed like forever, he finally made it to the arena. The arena was dark, but the lights came on, and guards appeared. Fred and his men stood in the upper sections of the stadium. The two scientists stood in the center and walked toward him.
"We hope you relaxed enough because today will be glorious."
"What's so glorious about it? Whenever you have something glorious, you think of something sick."
"Quite rude. You must have inherited it from your human mother. No matter what, after all we have done for you, I think it's time you show us how strong you are, especially since you have a human side. You are going to fight," said Dr. Antony.
Jedrek glared at the men. "If I refuse?"
Dr. Antony snapped his fingers, and a part of the wall opened. Alicia was seen tied to a pole. "Then she and your child will be harmed. I have no qualms about killing your mate; the unborn can easily be ripped from her."
Alesia was crying while Fred and the others looked at her and Jedrek.
Jedrek bit his lower lip. "Okay, I'll fight."
"Good boy. Now, let's bring your opponent."
Then, another part of the wall opened; five other scientists entered with a sizable, container-like pod and placed it in front of them. One of the scientists put in a code, and the pod opened.
Dr. Antony smiled. "Come along and walk forward."
The figure walked out of the pod. Jedrek's eyes were wide open in horror, as were his lips. Fred and his men were also in a state of shock.
"We have always wanted to see this go and about. This is who you will fight. Say hello to your father."
