Aliya’s life was quiet…

‎Just like her heart.

‎She didn’t talk much anymore.

‎She just wrote.

‎

‎Her thoughts were full of Zayan —

‎but only she knew it.

‎He was everywhere in her mind…

‎but never really there.

‎

‎

‎Sometimes she felt like he looked at her…

‎just for a second.

‎But maybe it was her imagination again?

‎

‎“Did he see me today?”

‎“Or am I just hoping too much… again?”

‎

‎Miss would ask her something in class.

‎Aliya would blink and come back to reality.

‎“Yes, Miss,” she’d say softly.

‎

‎But in her diary that night, she wrote:

‎

‎“People see my face…

‎but my heart lives in another world.

‎A world where Zayan is mine.”

‎

‎One day, Zayan dropped his notebook.

‎It fell near Aliya’s feet.

‎She picked it up and gave it to him.

‎Their hands touched for a second.

‎

‎He smiled and said, “Thanks.”

‎Aliya said nothing.

‎But that night in her diary:

‎

‎“That one second… felt like a whole story.”

‎

‎

‎

‎At lunch, Farah and Farhan were being silly as always.

‎

‎Farhan: “I got zero in the test because the teacher didn’t let me answer!”

‎Farah: “Because you turned the question into a movie script!”

‎

‎Everyone laughed.

‎Even Aliya smiled a little.

‎But her eyes… they were only watching Zayan.

‎

‎Every day, she collected small moments like treasures:

‎

‎His laugh

‎

‎His voice

‎

‎The way his hair moved when he turned

‎

‎And then… she wrote it all down.

‎

‎“When he says yes… his eyes say no.”

‎“His dimples feel like secret little magic tricks.”

‎

‎But slowly… confusion started to grow inside her.

‎Does he feel anything at all?

‎Or is this just her dream?

‎

‎That evening, Miss gave a writing assignment:

‎"Write a letter you’ll never send."

‎

‎Aliya froze.

‎Because that’s exactly what she wrote every night —

‎Letters for Zayan… that he’d never read.

‎

‎This time, she didn’t write in her diary.

‎She picked a fresh page and wrote:

‎

‎💌 To the boy who doesn’t know he’s my whole world...

‎You never asked how I was.

‎But one smile from you broke something in me…

‎And it never healed.

‎You walk freely, while my heart follows you…

‎Without you ever noticing.

‎

‎– From the girl who hides behind a mask.

‎

‎

‎She folded that letter and kept it inside her diary.

‎Close to her heart.

‎And whispered to herself:

‎

‎“Maybe one day he’ll read it…

‎Maybe never.”

‎
