The scene that the king was greeted to upon opening the door was a chaotic one. Multiple knights were arguing with each other over ways to solve a problem that has plagued the kingdom for a few months now, the king almost felt like laughing at how invested they were in this meeting. The king even began thinking about how the arguing started in the first place.

"I'm telling you, we need to engage them in combat to make them cower in fear!" a knight said. "No! We need to diplomatically make a deal with them to avoid bloodshed!" a second knight Said. "I really think we should just arrest them and make them stand trial" a third knight chimed In. the king cleared his throat to get the attention of the knights. At that the entire room became silent as the knights stopped bickering and quickly saluted the king.

The king chuckled to himself at the scene before raising his arm. "At ease Men". the knights nodded and sat down in their seats. The king made his way towards his own seat as well. The king quickly read the reports stationed in front of his seat. After briefly skimming them he set them back down in front of him and directed his attention towards the center of the table. "Alright brief me on the situation"

the knights nodded and the one located closest to the king started speaking. "For the past couple of months now the bandit group has attacked our trading caravans and stealing whatever they have on them. In these few months alone we have lost over 600 gold worth of both food and cotton. Since we were not given an order yet from the local guard post we haven't been able to seek them out, plus the group is quite large so we would need a large group to prevent any casualties."
The king nodded and then asked "if this has happened for a few months why haven't we sent guards to defend the caravan? Like a paid escort." another knight replied," that's the thing, we sent 5 guards with a caravan for defense but they ended up missing. they could be captured or possibly dead."

The king sighed "I see" he then faced the servant at the door "can you please order both Raven and Keith to come here, it seems we might need their help".
The servant nodded and then left the room, the king then faced the knights again. "Okay, this is a major problem for us as of now. If the reports are true, we are dealing with a highly trained group of people. Since we don't know the exact location we can't send out a team to take care of them. Anyone have any ideas on what we could do?"

The knights thought for a moment, all thinking up of different ideas. The knight located closest to the king spoke out again, "what if we surprise them?" the king thought for a moment but asked for more details. The knight nodded and followed it up "what i mean is we can have a group of people drive a caravan or cart towards the docking port, and then have them drive back. If the cart were to be ambushed and raided, the group inside could take out the bandits and potentially capture them, however it can potentially be very dangerous meaning we would need skilled knights to take part in the mission."

The king thought about the idea some more, going through every possibility in his head. He nodded as he liked the idea, "what's your name if i may ask?" the knight that was closest to him was surprised at the question, but answered it nonetheless. "Renfred sir!'. The king smiled, "You have a smart brain Renfred. How would you feel about being one of the knights selected for this mission?". Renfred had a look of excitement overcome him as he nodded along with the plan. At that he could feel the glare of the other knights in the room, wondering why he was getting all of the attention. The king smiled, "Great! In the next few days, I will brief you on who you will be going with on this mission, feel free to prepare as much as you can before then." Renfred smiled and nodded. The king nodded back and turned his attention back to the knights. "As for the rest of you, I want you to start patrolling around the walls in case the bandits start an attack on the town. in case you spot any of the bandits, You have full permission to attack and kill them, but make sure they are actual bandits first. We cannot afford an international accident as we are right now." The knights around the table nodded and saluted. The king smiled "Great, then you are all dismissed. Please do be careful".

At that command The knights, including Renfred, all nodded and left the room. Once the king was alone he sighed and picked the papers up in front of him to read them again, but with more detail and attention while waiting for both Raven and Kieth to arrive.
