First-year high school student Mark jonhson unexpectedly receives a confession from a middle school classmate, and turns her down, not knowing how to feel about such things. He later sees second-year student council member Melissa Dapne turning down a confession herself and becomes convinced that Melissa’s situation might be similar to his own. Upon speaking to Melissa, the two begin to bond over their similarities. To Mark’s surprise, Melissa suddenly confesses her feelings to him.
