In celebration of E3 and gaming I have decided to honor the writers of the world that work on video games! Characters and stories are a big part of the video game world, but I particularly am fascinated with characters. So, who can make the best and most interesting character? Design and write out your character and see if he/she/it intrigues Penana!  It can be any kind of character from a normal person to a super hero! The more details the better! No word limit or any real specifications except that you cannot take a story that is already well known and made like Jeff The Killer. Other than that have fun making up your own Creepypasta story!

What seemed like it would be a regular day turned out to be completely different for you... Because you have now woken up as the opposite gender! For this fun contest writers are tasked with writing a short story in under 2,500 words about any topic or genre revolving around you suddenly being the opposite gender!The point of this contest is to show support for all people around the world who go through gender related issues and face gender conflicts. Examples being women receiving less pay than men in the workforce, or men being expected to be the sole money making care takers of the household. Many questioning or LGBT teens are bullied as they go through the period in life where they are just trying to figure out who they are, and tons more people of all kinds struggle every day. That's it. The world is coming to an end. Scientists have developed a cure for cancer, or at least it should have been until that cure ends up destroying all the cells in one's body rather than just the intended cancer cells. Soon all life starts to die off at a rapid rate, and in six days the entire world's living plants and animals and all life will disappear. You are one if not maybe the only scientist working against the clock to try to find a cure and save the world. But, with such little time left. Should one continue to try to find a cure? Or should  spend your final moments with your family and loved ones?Entries in this contest should write their own stories based on this premise about nearly anything else they wish. For this contest writers are tasked with writing either stories and poems that contain both elements of contrary forces but complement each other, like light and darkness, or life and death. Music has often been described as breathing, something one cannot live without. Music is the soothing voice within our ears, the voice that speaks what cannot be spoken, and carries the words that describe us so well.

In this contest authors will be takes with writing a story of preferably under 12k words that revolves around music. The story can be a romance, adventure, or even a Horror as long as music as a central theme. The story must also incorporate a song you created of any type of genre from rock to blues. The challenge in this writing is to not also tell an enjoyable story, but enlighten the reader's senses of sound and music through any means necessary. Illuminate the reader's mind through vivid descriptions! In essence this story combines both poetic(Or lyrical) skills and fiction writing to create a musically compelling story! The focus on music is more to the poetic/literary aspect of it. It is the month of October and Halloween is just around the corner. It is a time where our fears come alive s ghouls and ghosts of the night. The dead rises, vampires seek our blood, and writers thrive off the grimness of the air! However, not all things we fear are monsters, but fears that we have from everyday life which in some ways, are more frightening than any Frankenstein. For this contest I ask writers to write a story based on their greatest fears. Your story should present what your biggest fear is whether it be spiders, heights, loneliness, or death and present in a creative way that seems horrific. Your characters could be you and your friends, or completely fictional. For example, if your greatest fear is loneliness then perhaps you would write a story in which people who are alone in the world are hunted unless they can bond with a friend or family member. Or if your fear is snakes then it could simply be a story about a character confronting a horde of them inside his/her own home!Turn your fear into inspiration for a creative and unique story that is rich in literary prowess! The story should fit into the Horror genre and should on a considerable level be frightening. Okay everyone, we only had three submissions, however the three stories presented are magnificent and each present their own love story that is all worth reading! I applaud all the authors for writing these stories and I hope to see them continue to expand their work and reach new heights in their writing. I shall give a short review of each story and why it got its place. No flaming please! This is only my opinion!Our Pathtells the story of a girl writing a letter to a boy named Henry. The story begins in early childhood to their adult years in which the author has masterfully painted a full picture of their relationship throughout the years in only 5,000 words. Beautiful diction, syntax, and pacing allows for readers to thoroughly enjoy the story from start to finish as they read this pure hearted love story. This story has it all: Love, Loss, Distance, Heartbreak, Heart aches that is all relatable to readers. The story shows a deep relationship that will leave you with a warm feeling in the end.

A Walk Through The Parktells of an all too familiar love story to us all. The first date. This is a light hearted and partially humorous story that reflects quite well on the feelings of a first date, however does not go as in depth with its characters allowing a disconnect between the readers and its characters.  On the contrary, this story makes up for its excellent use of visual descriptions and imagery which easily carries the story forward. (Also I apologize that the story is no longer on the contest page. A misconception was made. D:)The Widow And The White Roseis a historical romance story that tells of an romance of long ago to the time of kings and war. Instantly this story manages to capture you with its setting and grips you with its story and characters, however as the story progresses it loses its pace. The story has distractions and gets sidetracked from the main relationship presented that readers are mainly focusing on. Given the story is historical and the word limit perhaps barred the author from fleshing out this historical event further. Still, the story is a must read for the historical value and messages the story has to offer with relatable themes and tenseful moments.A compelling love story need not be long in order for it to be both captivating and interested. This contest is to challenge writers to tell the best love stories they can within the word limit given. Any types or genres are allowed so long as they tell a love story that is interesting! Your story may bet between a boy and a girl, two boys, or even two girls if you so desire. All stories will be judged equally and fairly, and will not have a huge focus on grammar and punctuation, but if the grammar distracts from your story then it may become an issue.  However, other than that I encourage readers to have fun with this. I look forward to evaluating the many wonderful stories that will be presented.Restrictions: NoneRequirements: Under or equal to exactly 5,000 words and must be a love story. Write what kind of things this character does to try to live, what do they decide can help them feel complete?

Make a quick, fifteen or less sentence story that shows the most creative and last-second way that two people said I love you. It can be a hail of bullets, a bomb, a death bed admittance, anything. Dialogue or none, it doesn't matter the goal is just to make the reader feelsomething.
