She was just a babe

When she felt the Father’s love

She felt it from her parents

It was unlike other love

She took her first steps slowly

With her parents guiding hands

And she began her journey

In the Covenant Path’s lands

A few years and she was baptized

The greatest gift to receive

As long as she followed the Savior

The Holy Ghost would never leave

She made mistakes at times

Repentance was the key

As she knelt down by her bed

The guilt she felt would leave

She crossed the seas and desert

And every other land

She crossed the mountains and forests

And cliffs, and rocks, and sand

She knows she wasn’t perfect

She knows she could improve

She knows she could be better

And by that the Spirit soothes

So every time she falls down

The Savior lifts her up

And she looked to his example

He, who drank from the Bitter Cup

Moving across the country was hard

The hardest thing I’ve done

To leave my friends and family

Everything and everyone

My one and only strength

I learned to lean on his shoulder
