Lina stopped and slowly turned around, a perfect arch in her eyebrow and a smirk to match. "Wanna play with fire?" Rylai faltered under the hot stare, knowing that she was no match for her sister. "Thought so." Said Lina in a scoff and returned to her walk of pride.

"It's not fair!" Rylai said to herself while she watched the fish in the stream, lazily zig-zagging back and forth, enjoying the peacefulness of the water. "Lina always thinks she can push me around because she's the oldest. I would be just as strong as her if I were the same age." Her bottom lip quivering, her eyes threatening with tears. She hated that two years could make such a difference, and being sixteen was still not enough to be considered old enough. She refused to accept that she would always be seen as a child in Lina's eyes.

"Hot-headed cow..." She mumbled again,wiping the stray tears that fell on her cheek. She glanced back at the fishes and wished more than anything in the world that she could join them in the cool refreshing water to get out of the heat of Spring but knew better. Even a single finger in the water when she is emotional would cause the whole stream to freeze over.

She loved the colours Spring always brought. All the butterflies fluttering around her and the birds singing and just the harmony of it all, but she just couldn't stand the heat. She only went outside during these times if there was a cool breeze to keep the heat from brushing her skin. She detested heat almost as much as she detested Lina, but even then that was a close second.

Lina couldn't help but laugh quietly to herself. She loved it when she got her sister all steamed up. As she strode back to the cottage that they stayed in, she took a minute to appreciate the midday sun, enjoying the warmth on her skin. It was recently that Winter had died down and Lina was thankful she didn't have to deal with anymore snow or ice. She would always make sure the cottage was nice and warm and that there was always a log on the fire she had made, but had to keep her cool whenever Rylai would start with her whining.
