Kazuki, hidden beneath the dojo floorboards, witnessed his father’s final breath, taken by a warrior marked with a strange tribal symbol. That night, Kazuki lost everything. Now, years later, Kazuki returns to the ashes of that memory. Cloaked in black and carrying his father's katana, he has become the Ghost Samurai. His heart is cold, his mission clear: revenge. In a nearby province, he hears of a mysterious man who claims to know the identities of his father's killers. Hungry for answers, Kazuki agrees to do his bidding — carrying out a series of assassinations, each promised to lead him closer to the truth. But over time, doubt creeps in. The targets seem unrelated. Innocent. Something feels wrong. Kazuki soon realizes he’s being manipulated. Disgusted, he leaves the man’s territory and escapes into the mountains. There, in a quiet forest, he meets a girl named Aiko. She’s fierce, clever, and on the run. A princess, fleeing an arranged marriage forced by her father. At first, they distrust one another. But when she describes a mark she once saw on a soldier — the same tribal mark Kazuki remembers — they realize their fates are connected. Kazuki needs her knowledge to find the tribe. Aiko needs his protection to survive. They form a fragile alliance. Together, they stand on a hill, watching smoke rise from a distant village. “Are you sure about this?” Aiko asks. Kazuki grips his father’s sword. “I’ve never been more sure,” he replies. And with that, the Ghost Samurai’s true journey begins — one of pain, vengeance, and the path to redemption.
