It begins one late September night (roughly around 12am) in the year 1814. It is raining as British forces consisting of warships and land troops cause chaos to the American Fort McHenry located in Baltimore Harbor, MD. The British ruthlessly thrash the American Fort for 25 hours sending a heavy shower of bullets and rockets at it (The Battle of Baltimore). Not able to fully protect their stronghold, John Rodgers, Captain of the Americans ordered a tactical retreat towards the Nation’s capital (D.C)/Rome. After several hours of close arms dueling using only rifles and muskets. American sharpshooters were able to inflict damage to the invading British forces, by killing their commander General Ross. This significantly crushed the invading troops under his command. During the retreat the Patriots were able to leave some of the troops lost among the "Patapsco Neck's" woods, marshes and swampy creeks, with others left in confusion. The remainder of the British followed the American Patriots back to Washington D.C lead by Rear Admiral George Cockburn, where their goal is to turn Rome into a burning Inferno! The Patriots arrive in Rome first; they head to the Whitehouse too inform President Washington about the Battle of Baltimore, and that the redcoats are coming to destroy the city. Washington then orders all Patriots to go out and defend Rome at all cost. About an hour later the British show up and chaos is erupted yet again. The redcoats fight their way into the capitol (a standoff kind of like 300); they then split up, some march to the Capitol building while others turn to the Treasury building and finally the rest end up at the President's house. Before you know it fire is everywhere. Suddenly a large blaze starts coming from the grounds of the white house! Slaves, maids, soldiers and towns folk help try to extinguish the blaze. A man (Perri Boone) is seen fleeing the grounds with a torch, sirens flare and the bike unit is released. Perri hits an alley and jumps on his horse and the chase is on. Boone is being chased by 4 soldiers on bikes and is in the lead. Troopers then pull out there guns and begin to fire at him. They miss him, but a stray bullet strikes the horse killing it and throwing Boone off. After getting up, Boone pulls out his pistol and begins to fire; killing one of the soldiers. He takes the dead soldier’s bike and continues south. While being chased Boone starts performing impressive parkour bike moves. Not able to shake the bike soldiers, Boone breaks a small glass bottle and throws shards of broken glass behind him. The glass pops the soldiers’ bike tires which allow him to eventually evade the bike troops. He continues to travel towards Virginia. President Washington is informed that the perpetrator evaded them. Now angry, Washington dispatches The Army of the Potomac; Balloon Unit, to setup on Tiber Creek/Potomac River, he also tells the other Hot air Balloon units to get spotlights going on the ground. They are commanded to shoot to kill any red coat on sight. On the Army of the Potomac; Balloon Unit there are 4 snipers up in the balloon, while 26 troops are on the boat below. Boone is able to make the trip w/o being seen by any authorizes. The sun is now up and it is roughly 7am; stores have begun to open, and Perri rides to an abandoned house (604). There he waits for word from his company. With no response Boone realizes that he is now on his own. He takes off his red coat and goes and raids the home. Inside he finds a change clothes a maroon cotton button up and a pair of tan slacks and a black backpack (one man army styled). He takes the supplies and rides into Olde town, Alexandria via bike. Once in Olde town, he parks/hides the bike and tries to lay low key until he’s able to find a horse and wagon and buy supplies so that he can continue on his new journey. The town is setting up decorations for the 4th of July celebration soldiers flood the town with their presence (some on horseback, some on bikes, others walking and some above in the hot air balloons). He makes his way to a general store where he buys a lot of medicine, ammo, potatoes, dried meats/salted meat, canned foods and a mini rocket stove, water and bread. He then goes and buys some clothes a black vest and a gray jacket with long coat tails. He then walks in his new clothes to find a rancher, to buy a stead and wagon, after a little while he finally comes across one. Once bought, he gets the bike and throws it along with the supplies, and backpack in the back of the wagon, and begins to head south towards NC.
