Normal people can stop and start the rivers whenever they want to, but Freddy can't. Mommy says that Freddy's brain rivers are all going at once and that sometimes they collide, and this is hard for Freddy because it means he can't think properly. Sometimes one of Freddy's brain rivers overflows and floods his head. This means he can't control his actions or how he expresses his emotions. She says the doctors say he's fine and ready to come back and live with us again, but she thinks Freddy is trying to fake normality, so he can come home and be with us.
