I look at my alarm clock, exactly 4 minutes before it goes off. I go ahead and turn it off. I put my clothes on and comb my hair. Then, as I eat my breakfast, I hear a knock at my door.
¨I´ll get it!¨ I say loudly to my mom. When I open the door, I see the face of the angel boy, Jorden.
¨Hello, Layla. Are you ready to leave?¨
¨Who is it, Lay-Lay?¨ my mom asks.
¨Lay-Lay? What a cute nickname.¨ Jorden says.
¨It´s Jorden. He´s going to walk with me to school. Bye, Mom.¨
¨Bye, honey.¨ We walk outside, then, I close the door.
¨What are you doing here?¨ I ask. He looks like I just asked him the worst thing in the world.
¨Well, I go to your school now. I have three classes with you; algebra, Spanish, and gym. Isn´t it wonderful?¨
¨It really…nevermind. Anyway, why didn´t you tell me you were going to my school when I saw you yesterday?¨
¨I wasn´t thinking that I could before I called and asked if I could enroll. All I had to do was some simple paperwork and I was in. How amazing!¨ That IS amazing, not having to have your PARENTS fill out the paperwork like usual.
¨Anyway, I am very sorry for not telling you that I was coming to your house.¨
¨It´s fine.¨ He smiled at that.
¨What a wonderful day!¨ he says.
¨Why's that?¨
¨Because I´m with you almost all day.¨ I blush a little.
Then, after ten minutes have passed, we arrive at school.
¨What classes do you have with me? I forgot.¨ I say.
¨Algebra, Spanish, and gym. Why do you want to know?¨
¨Just wondering.¨ I say. ¨Bye.¨
¨Goodbye.¨ And with that, we go our separate ways. First, I have Spanish, then break, after that I have math, and then lunch, and after that gym, and lastly art.
¨Hello class. Does anyone know where we left off?¨ I raise my hand.
¨Yes, Layla?¨
¨We finished the alphabet, the numbers one through fifty, and a few Spanish words. I believe that we are going to start everyday Spanish sentences.¨
¨That is correct. Now, class, I have written down a few common Spanish sentences. Please write them down in your notebooks. After that, I would like you to write an essay about yourself. It must be at least four paragraphs and include your full name, your interests, your hobbies, and a little information about your family. It must be written in Spanish. It is due in two days, on Wednesday.¨
¨Yes, Miss Hannah.¨ everyone says in unison. I grab my Spanish notebook and start to take notes.
It takes me eleven minutes to take all of my notes, but once I am finished, I hand my paper to Miss Hannah and start on my essay. Before I start writing my actual essay, I write down what I want to include.

It takes about nine minutes for me to decide what I want to include in my essay, but after I finally decide, I work on making the real thing.
I get two paragraphs done before the bell rings.
¨Bye, Beatrix. Bye, Jack.¨
¨See ya later!¨ Jack says.
¨Goodbye!¨ says Beatrix.
Next, I have algebra. But before that, I have break. I sit alone at the end of a table during break. Mostly because I want to be alone to think about what all has happened recently. Then, the craziest thing happens.
¨What´s wrong, Lay-Lay?¨ I turn around, already knowing that it was Jorden.
¨Nothing. Why do you ask?¨ I say it so normally, but somehow he still knows that I am lying.
¨Why are you lying to me? Is it because I killed two people that you really cared about?¨
¨No, it´s just that everything that has happened in the past few days. It´s been way too much to handle right now.¨
¨I see… in that case, meet me in the forest where we met, same spot, after school today. I have something I want to tell you.¨
¨Umm…okay.¨
¨See you then.¨ He walks away. Why does he want me to meet him?34Please respect copyright.PENANAK8xxNrDmNi
The bell rings, and I head to math class. I sit down in my assigned seat in the front and center, I sit there because I am her best student. I always make at least a 90, I help everyone with their work, and I am polite and kind.
¨Hello, class. My name is Dan Sullen, you may call me Mr. Dan or Mr. Sullen. I am your substitute teacher. Mr. Jackson had to go to a funeral today, his sister passed away a few days ago. Today you will be studying for an upcoming test, this test will be on Thursday. But before that, you have a fun activity. You will be making your own math color-by-number. You will include everything written on the board. These color-by-numbers will be for the students at the Elementary School, 3rd grade, so make it easy. You may begin.¨ I choose to do a simple heart with a red outline, pink inside, and white background. I imagine what it will look like in my mind, and then, I begin.
I finish after about thirty minutes. I wanted it to be perfect, so it took a little while. Anyway, I raise my hand, and the substitute, Mr. Dan Sullen, walks over.
¨Yes?¨ Mr. Sullen says.
¨I finished.¨
¨Okay, hand me your paper. I´ll look over it to see if everything is accurate.¨ I hand him my paper. ¨…Everything is done so perfectly, great job… I´m sorry, what´s your name?¨
¨Layla, my name is Layla. And thank you very much.¨
¨Well, Layla, I am very impressed, now all there is left to do is take this to the Elementary School tomorrow. Amazing work.¨ I spend the rest of class helping people with their activity for 40 minutes, listening to music and sketching for 37 minutes, go to the restroom, and last, I continue to listen to my music and sketch for the last 11 minutes. After that, the bell rings.
The rest of the day goes by very slowly, just like it has been all day. I head to the woods as soon as I get out of school.
