I suppose I should be happy that I am getting more info from Observe but I find it difficult to do that right now. I pull my Multi-Tool in my left hand and my Katana in my right, I am pretty sure that this is going to suck.
As I step into Colseit I can't help but wonder at how all this area seems to have been overlaid with an almost Sepia filter. The colors are still bright and everything and yet somehow everything almost seems... downplayed? I quickly make a right and head towards the market area, where Katla should have set up shop by now. Maybe... She'll be there either way. I turn the corner and see the familiar cart, suitcase and girl sitting atop it kicking her legs. I never understood her hat, but honestly she was one of my favorite characters from this one, even before you could play as her. She notices me looking at her and smiles, hoping off of her suitcase. "STEP RIGHT UP, SIR! DON"T BE SHY!" I smile at how loud she is and walk over to her and look and up and down. She blushes but holds her ground. "See anything you like, mister?"
I chuckle, "Yes, actually. I see quite a lot that I like." Her blush deepens and she clearly didn't expect that as I go to look over her wares, giving her time to recover. It's a lot of the fairly common stuff, except for a few that are a little better. "So, Miss. Merchant...” She interrupts me to tell me her name is Katla. "Well then Miss. Katla." She interrupts again with a frown saying just Katla. "Very well, just Katla." I say with a light chuckle and small glare from her. "I am looking over what you have and they are good." I make a show of thinking about how much all of her stuff will cost and smile. "I'll take everything" I say with a nod.
Katla nods and starts to move, "Coming right up, I will just get you you’re..." She freezes when her mind catches up and she whirls on me like a top. "What did you say?" Her face frozen somewhere between joy and disbelief, trying to figure out if what she thought she heard could be true.
"I want everything, Katla; this, the cart, your business, you. I'll take whatever it is you are will to sell me." I say it all so nonchalantly that she nearly missed everything I said. Her face turns a deep crimson as it settles in and she looks up to me to seemly check if I am joking but all that greets her is a smile. "Umm.... Everything is for sale but I do need to keep the business it’s my families after all." She says weakly but I see she clearly didn't refuse anything else. Maybe she just sees herself as another commodity to be sold? She always did seem like a pretty hardcore merchant, even if she was... unusual.
I scratch my chin, "Then how's about a partnership? I will help with seeding when required and only cut me in... Than how’s about twenty-five percent?" She thinks for a moment, her cheeks still red, but now there is money involved so she has actually managed to focus a little more. But with this she started to actually show that she did know her stuff, even if new. Not that I was one to talk. But we finally settled on 10%. I honestly didn't care about that. I just needed to make it look like I was trying at least. We shake on our agreement, after having proved to her that I have the money. "I do hope you realize?" She looks to me confused and suspicious "We will need to have many extended business planning sessions. I trust you can work that in." I say with a grin and watch a shiver run through her. "Perhaps we should start with one right away?" I walk over towards her and take her hand, she nods slowly and we close her cart down before heading towards the inn.

She hasn't gotten any money from me yet but sure did seal our partnership and she seemed just fine with that for now. Or at least I imagine. She is still out right now. I need to go around and collect some specific ingredients and I am an idiot for not doing so already. But I am in town already so that will just have to wait. Escha has a really ridiculous bomb that I want to try and make a version of.
Quest Created!
Reverse Engineer Escha's Ultimate Bomb.
???
Cool, works for me. Odd a lot of quests just giving me the reward for what I am doing anyways but I don't really care all that much either. The easiest way to Marion is through the government work, but that kind of sucks. Nah I can just keep going the route I have been since its working. I head through the plaza and stop in front of the government building, which is a good amount larger than it was in the game, maybe this is it so it is there Central? I enter and look around. A relatively small girl runs up to me with short blonde hair a yellow sun dress-like thing and matching little hat. "U-umm... H-hello, sir," She bows deeply to me and I smile still an embarrassed mess. Sweet little Lucille, "Don't worry sweetie. Take your time." I smile kindly at her.
Lucille Affection +6
She takes a deep breath and steadies herself. "How may I help you, sir?" With a nod I explain to her that I wished to speak with whoever I needed to so I could inquire about a private financing of the R & D Division.
Lucille Affection +12
Lucille smiles wide and then guides me deeper into the building until I stood before Soelle, basically a catch all position is what he has but he does it well. At least now he has a little bit of help. He looks over to me after Lucille excitedly explains to him about my offer. Once she finishes she excuses herself and vanishes. I assume to go tell Marion. "So, Mr..."
"Alex Crawferd. I wish to invest in the R & D division here." I pull out a bag with a hundred thousand Cole in it and place it down on his desk. "How's about that, every month, until I no longer feel the R & D division deserve it anymore. The only thing that I would like to be considered eligible for is the ability to occasionally use the services of the homocili you have working here." I present my case and Soelle thinks about it for a moment. Other than losing some hom help every so often it is all in their favor.

That would be Lucille telling her. "Is that all you require?" He asked after a moment and I thought about it briefly and shook my head. "Now that you mention it there is one small think I was hoping to be able to do as well." Soelle's eyes narrow a little, as if he had caught me at something. "I would like to be able to meet the members of the R & D team, maybe see the shop and possibly be able to stop by whenever just to check in on everything." Soelle's eyes widen a little.
"That's it, truly?" I nod like the idea of asking for more was crazy. "Well then. I do believe we can work something out."

Soelle's mouth drops, not really sure what to say as his desk starts to creak under the weight. He stands and goes to action; he is going to be busy for a while. "Perhaps whoever it is behind that door there could show me the atelier? I have a feeling they know where it is." I point to the door off to our side and Soelle looks as there's a sharp bang from behind the door and then a few moments later the door opens, the whole R & D division standing there. Marion wastes no time as she steps forward and reaches out her hand towards me; I smile before I reach for her hand and kiss it softly, her face flushing. Another girl neglected because of her size. She is simply breath taking with her short black hair, pale skin. She's only a little taller than Lucille, but Marion is long past growing any more. She is wearing a very sharp, professional skirt, going down to her ankles, and a long sleeved blouse. She's pretty scary with her derringers as well. I wonder? What was her expense account for guns?
She smiled and introduced everyone; she and I do the same. "It's a pleasure. I was hoping that I could go over some things with you first, Marion, and then maybe talk to the rest of you and check out the atelier" I look at Marion and smile. "Of course only if that is ok with you."
Marion Affection +10
"I foresee no problems with that. Then with that being the case." She turned to everyone and clapped. "Alright, back to work, unless it would take you out of town. You can talk to Alex later." I fixed the whole Mister thing real quick. With that we went to set off but she had to direct Linca to go assist the others, with some reluctance Linca finally went along with what Marion said. "That girl," She shook her head and the two of us went to her office which was just another big room with a desk and stacks of books and paper work. "Ah, bureaucracy." The two of us chuckle as we look around and then take a seat. I mostly just want some alone time with Marion but I really don't want to go over paperwork. We take our seats and she looks at me, crossing her legs and arms. "You really don't seem the type to be interested in this site of it so what is it then?"
I like smart people. "The truth is that I really just wanted to get a feel for the mind behind the R & D division. I mean I can look at paperwork whenever I want anyways. Tell me what drives you and makes you come in each morning." I say with a smile and sit back; she takes a few moments and thinks about that, she does seem a little surprised that I was asking about her and not the division itself. "Ok. I suppose I can see the point in that. I don't like leaving things unfinished, work or otherwise. Mostly though, I just like feeling that I have things to do that help people. Plus it is a job so being paid is nice too." I smile and nod, pretty much what I knew or expected. She pauses for a moment, "May I ask you a question?"
I chuckle a little, "Why do I want to invest for so little?" She waves her hand back and forth. "That too, but is there a reason you don't want to work here too? I heard you wanted access to some homunculi. You're an alchemist then, right?"
I smile wide. "I love smart people. You are right, I am. But I don't really wish to be covered in political red tape. Not that I would ever do anything illegal mind you." I offer innocently, she just frowns at me for a moment. "Regardless I wish for the R & D division to thrive, simple, yes?" She thinks it over for a moment and sighs, but also nods. "I suppose I can accept that." I smirk. "Good, that was all I really wished to discuss with you so if you don't mind I will go take a look around." I stand up and she nods, turning back to her desk and I head through the door that clearly leads to the atelier, based on the excited talking I can hear.
I don't bother knocking on the door and step into the atelier It is a little cramped right now with all the R & D in here. All eyes turn to me as I look them all over. Escha, with her fluffy skirt and tail belt thing her mother made. She had a sleeved and strapless top, blue coat and really small white hat with black accents and thigh-high socks. Her green eyes sparkled as she looked at me, fake tail swishing away behind her. Her dirty blonde, but at times it really seems pink, hair pulled up in twin, side, and pig-tails. Logy was standing by her, clearly having been discussing something. He wore a dark red coat and brown pants standing out but not because of the clothes, which were fairly normal for this world, but since he is the only guy in the R & D division. He's ok. He can't have Escha though. Linca with her long silvery blonde hair and red eyes walks up to me, bows, and begs forgiveness as she must see to Marion. I simply nod and smile at her. "Of course, Linca, please do. I even think it would be wise for the two of you to take a break, but that is not my place to say." Linca pauses for a moment as she looks at me and then nods a leaves to check of Marion.
Threia comes walking up next, one I don't really care about one way or the other in combat ability but she is a top tier researcher. It's just too bad that despite them saying she was attractive and hot and everything, and she still kind of is, but she has some very masculine features in my opinion. "Well unless you had any questions for me, Mr. Crawford, I just wanted to see the man himself. Now that I have I will be returning to my research." I nod at her and she smiles and takes her leave. I turn my attention back to the room. It's just; Logy, Escha, Lucille, and myself now.
I walk over to the cauldron, where Logy and Escha are both standing and peer into it. As I do Escha, being closer, reached over and tried to pull me back, "Please be carefu..." I cut her off as I see what she is making.
"Does the government pay for you to be making cakes with their equipment?" Escha pales at having been called out by someone whom I can only assume she thought wasn't an alchemist. Escha has a lot in common with Rorona, just not quite as bad in some regards. Plus until they fixed Rorona's pixel avatar Escha was the big boner buddy! I mentally face palm as I can't believe I thought that.
"U-umm... W-whatever d-do you m-mean?" Escha stutters out and both Logy and Lucille sigh. This is weird. She had an answer for Logy right away when he questioned her about it. Maybe she hasn't thought of it yet since it's still working and it didn't seem like anyone else here was able to deal with the cauldron. Lucille was supposed to be an alchemist... I wonder if she was just a specialized researcher though. I think I have let her stew long enough.
I Laugh out and turn back to the cauldron to confirm something before turning back to Escha. "I see. It should be you and the division quite a bit. Also it will taste great." Escha seems really shocked by all of this and then cheers, hopping up into the air for a moment. "That's GREAT, finally someone else who gets it!" She and I devolve into a brief but heated discussion on cauldrons and synthesis procedures. She seems so happy to have someone to talk to that understands what she is doing. I give her a couple of pointers to try and help weed out some of her minor alchemy quirks that would turn into problems later. She is a true natural though, just like every atelier mains. We speak for several minutes before she smiles and rushes over to her desk to take some notes on the things we discussed.
I take a step back from the cauldron and look around the shop. Where's Logy's equipment? They got all their gear from Central... Wait! I got it. They just haven't gotten far enough to have it before the world was forced here so now maybe they have to build it from scratch. That sort of makes sense I know I did it but even with that, trying to line up my meta and what is here is weird since all the characters are already here but the stuff that should be isn't, yet. Not that I need it. Honestly neither does Escha... But I need to see. I walk over to Escha and pull a seat put next to her, she blushes a little as Logy shrugs and goes over to Lucille. I pull over some paper and look at the questioning eyes of Escha. "Ok. You've never made weapons have you?" She shakes her head. "I didn't think so. I have noticed every region I have been to the alchemy is a little, sometimes a lot, different. So I want you to try this..." I then start to explain to her about how to mix the cauldron so she could form weapons like in Arland. She seems shocked by this information and is scribbling out her own notes as I write and talk.
Escha Affection +15
Wait a second... Why is she breaking even? I look over my Reputation perks and shake my head; did the Ecchi thing make her a pervert? Plus she has a tail... Hmm... I hope it didn't make Escha to much of a furry. "Well I think that is pretty good for now. Just practice that and don't worry too much if you can't get it right away. It is trying to reframe how you think about alchemy a little, but I believe that you will do it with little trouble." I than gently pat her on the back and walk over to Logy and Lucille. "Sorry about that I realized something and wanted to try and help Escha overcome a little alchemical hump she was having."
Logy looks confused for a moment but it's Lucille who speaks up. "Escha was having a problem with alchemy?" I tilt my hand back and forth and pull out a piece of paper again and start giving them a basic run down on what I was discussing with Escha but sort of explaining it twice using medicine one time and weapons or armor the other. This one is nowhere near as detailed but these two are also more book smart so I can leave gapes for them to fill in on their own, pushing themselves a little more to further their understanding. Will this, plus Escha, help either of them use the cauldron? I have no clue, but that would be funny. I stand up and leave the two of them excitedly talking and I walk over to Escha and place my hands on her shoulders and give them a few experimental rubs. She tenses but then relaxes under my fingers. I lean down and speak into her ear. "If you ever want more lessons in anything just let me know and I will help you out." She shivers at my words and touch.
Escha Affection +5
That could have been better. "But maybe you should go talk with Logy and Lucille. They are pretty excited." I did give each of them a puzzle piece hidden in there examples. Escha seems confused at first and then shoots up from her desk. "YES, I Think That I Will!" Lucille looks over for a moment. Escha! Inside voice." I laugh and pat Escha on the back. "Have fun you three." I step out of the atelier to distracted goodbyes and see Linca standing a little ways from the atelier door and off to the left. That is where she normally stood in the game too. Funny.
Marion looks up at the sound of the door opening and closing, "Well that sure seemed to have gone well." She says with a smile which I return and start heading to leave, but stop halfway. "Oh I am sure it did. They might be unavailable for a little bit though." I say with a laugh which brings two sets of narrowed eyes on me, Linca quickly rushing over to the door and looking in. "That's kind of rude." I say with a sigh. "I mean I gave them some information that is probably going to take them a little while to process completely." I say with a shrug and simply walk out, not waiting for reply's now. That was pretty rude after all.
If they tried to come after me I honestly don't know since I vanished into the town and then climbed a wall to avoid the front gate, my states making it where, while not easy, I could manage it. I jumped down from the wall and quickly switched to the Exosuit to land with ease, quickly changing back, and then running off into the distance.

Prepping for the Princess (Flameu) 05
Now the way I see it is I can take enough time to befriend and convince, or at least convince, Clone and Nio to help with the Bumblebee Princess or I can study my manuals until I feel I understand enough to disconnect her from the Geo-Sys. Then there is just the matter of the dusk. I could go that route as well. All require a pretty large amount of time. Of course I could also try something that could be dangerous but Alchemic Blood has some sort of safety thing otherwise poisons would be horrible to make. I could always just move on as well. The stories for these games are not so go kill the boss and be done with it. There are bosses though. I'm also trying to keep my internal cauldrons going while I am out, just making whatever to try and grind out the levels of alchemy, but it's a slow process using all the stuff from No Man's Sky, just doesn't give as much xp for some reason. Unless the xp degradation on the skill is ridiculous, either way I did manage to push it up to 25.
[Bomb Extraordinaire]
Bombs are twice as powerful.
My bombs are starting to get some oomph! to them now. This place is pretty low tech... I could probably just use my ship and clear out some of the stronger areas and then go gather everything. Though I can probably handle most of the areas here, the creatures should be well within my ability. I just don't want to walk. I take a good walk out before I pull out my starship and quickly fly west. It is a good ways out there so I might as well. The trip only takes me a few minutes. Even with their dreadnought it still takes them several days to travel this.
I veer to the north-west once I pass the Upland Forest, going past the Slag Graveyard. Finally I see my target in sight. The Dragon Nest I need to kill at least one of the big dragons to get a Dragon Core. 4-God Attack is a must. It is time to see how a dragon fares against the tech from No Man’s Sky. I do a strafing run on the true dragon, not being able to see its hit points from here, but honestly six people can one round these things before they get crazy. My only sign now are the outward markings on the dragon and boy does it look pissed.
The dragon lets out a roar, to which two replying roars are heard. Ok. That's fine... The dragon then took flight and came right towards me, pulling my attention back fully and causing me to open fire with my cannon, and blew it's fire right on me. I didn't dodge it, I need to see how bad it hurts my shields, but I also wasn't going to make it pain free. My numbers didn't exactly like the chances but they weren't the worst I had made work so far. My sensors flared to life as the fire washed over my shields ripping through over two-thirds of them. Well let's not do that again. As my view clears I see that thee dragon is falling? What the hell?
Perception Check: Passed!
Oh! I guess one of my cannon shots was a really good critical cause the back of the dragons head and some of its neck is blown out. Sweet. I stall the engines to quasi-hover while I let my shields recharge. I can see the two other dragons flying this way; they look identical other than coloration. I almost feel bad for what I am about to do but honestly I don't really care either. I keep near my max range for the photon cannon and just rip the two dragons apart. They eventually tried to flee but I just chased them down. It sucked that I had three dragons spread over such a distance but not really a major problem either. An hour later I am sitting in the last of the dragon's 'nesting' areas and looking over my gains.

The hom's will reproduce more for me. I only need a few of each anyways. Fuck it. I go ahead and take a few days flying around the furthest reaches that the game lets them travel and collecting the high end materials. Once I have everything I think I need collected I dig myself another base, forming exactly the same except for the bio-domes. It takes me some time to juggle the traits around onto different items so I can finally ended up with the items that I required to make my gear. I have quite literally been down here doing this for weeks now. But all the shuffling did push my alchemy level up to where I need it to be.

I make a number of other really strong items like these, but I don't need them. Well I do... but I don't want to just walk around using it all the time or anything. So I DID make a bunch for me also but I will only use these until trends change. I strap the katana to my waist and it just has a different feel to it even as it just sits there in its sheath. It's sexy now. I replace my shirt with the spider silk one and I feel like I was just born again by how amazing it felt on my skin. I felt it empowering me as I shifted around in it. The shirt itself is a relatively simple in appearance, basically being nothing more than a normal looking T-shirt except the silver accents is actually designs on it that apparently can shift as it has a really badass looking silver dragon on it. I put the Elixir in some weird potion pouch we alchemists have so auto items could do their thing.
I look the book over and smile, it looks really familiar, even though not exact, and to one I know well and place it in my inventory. That's going to be amazing. I shove everything else into my inventory and look at my character sheet and wonder if I can deal with Flameu now. If I did my math right, than I am one hell of a glass cannon. With the Elixir having seven charges I shrug. Might as well go make a bigger mess, I still can't free her but not really a big deal cause after all of that I will be able to convince Clone and Nio.
I conceal my base and quickly leave the area of Colseit before boarding my startship and heading towards the floating ruins, a storm circling it. The storm is no match for my starship and I punch right through. I look over the floating ruin as I circle it and smirk. I don't need to start at the beginning of this place. I point my ship towards where I know Flameu's central room is and blast a hole in it with my photon cannon, continuing until there is enough room for my ship to fly in and skim the ground. I kill the speed as much as I can and right as the ships shields start to bounce the ship away from the ground I inventory my starship and try to land as safely as possible.
I land/crash into the ground and try to roll with the fall as best I can.
HP: 3402/3780
Not graceful and that sort of hurt but ok. I turn to see Flameu staring at me with a blank expression. "Who... are you?" She asks in a really monotone voice, with not body gestures at all.
"Hello Flameu." I bow to her slightly, not taking my eyes off of her. The Bumblebee Princess sure is a fitting name as she looks like a catgirl but a queen bee instead. Her blue coloration is odd but I like the way she looks honestly. But even before I became a Gamer I was kind of messed up.
Flameu Affection +5
Hmm... Maaaaybeeee I can do this without fighting. "Can... you help?" Ok... maybe the ruins won't come crashing down yet? I think about it, I mean I am working towards that, in a way, as well.
"I can, given time." I try to continue but she cuts me off, not even seeming to care at all that I was still trying to talk.
"Time... is short." I nod at her and smile. "Believe me I understand. But we will need to work together. I don't have enough information as is." She thinks for a moment and looks around herself for a moment.
Err, Urgh! Guest Admin Status Forcefully Given.
I put my hands to my head and rub my temples. Well that hurt, but it's quickly subsiding. I look over what she just did and smile. "Very well Flameu. You can count on me." I bow to her and then she just went over to the side and started looking over some of the sensors. I move over beside her and look at something I know now to be a terminal. There is a ton of data in there, as I start reading through it I speak. "So how long have you been working on this?"
She pauses, almost too briefly to notice, "O-one hundred twenty years." I look her over and nod, knowing the answer already.
"That's a long time to be trying to save the world alone." I finally found the section completely dedicated to the Dusk and start going over what has been gathered on it.
She doesn't say anything at first and I just continue to read figuring our conversation was over but surprisingly she does finally speak. "Y-yes."
I smile, that’s good. At least she isn't completely beyond reason, but I didn't kill her pets either. "Well, you aren't alone anymore. I am here for you." I smile and turn to her. There is just the slightest moment where the corner of her mouth quirks up just a little, but she doesn't say anything.
Flameu Affection +10
A comfortable silence falls and I go back to reading.
The Dusk
A plight on the world that is consuming all of the world’s water, using it to reproduce, the original source of which is unknown. All speculation points towards it being from deep underground or deep underwater, resistant to alchemical processes and Elements.
Solution: TBA
Well that really didn't add much but alchemy resistant. I might just have to use my alchemical blood on it after all. They must have tried to 'kill' it with different attacks. They obviously didn't think about the possibility that it is extraterrestrial, not that I would expect them to, which would help explain why it is so resistant. Absorbing water and using it to grow isn't all that farfetched either since water is the source of life. Hmm... What is it that would stop it... Well if it has a large part of water to reproduce itself than that's a lot of hydrogen, but it's also oxygen. I mentally pull up a periodic table and look it over for a moment, the opposite of oxygen and hydrogen. There they are. Hmm... I should be able to make those or find them, probably going to have to break some stuff down.
I turn to Flameu and ask her if she knows where I could get the two elements I am after and she narrows her eyes for a moment and then nods, I guess sort of following my train of thought. "Yes." She gestures towards the terminal I am at and a small shoot opens up and a full vial of each element pops out, one after the other. "Thank you, Flameu." She completely pauses and scrunches up her face, in thought it would seem.

Cool? Guess she put it together that she likes being thanked? I take a breath, sitting down, and taking the full vial of helium and only half the vial of cyanide. Instead of a warm feeling this was cold. I started to circulate them together, mixing them. I finish the mixture and produce the vials.
Dawn
Targets and destroys water molecules.
That's nasty. Let's just go ahead and eat that with alchemical blood and then, pulling out the dusk sample and absorbing that into the mix with Dawn. I start to guide the transformation nudging it the way I want it to be.
The Dawn After the Dusk.
Targeted biological weapon that breaks down the water molecules within the Dusk
Well would you look at that. I still want to look into turning the Dusk into a weapon, but honestly, a water destroying plague. I think we can do without that. I turn to Flameu and smile at her. "I think I might have something here. She turns and looks at it, a scanner coming out and running over it. She actually smiles a little and nods.
"Do you have a place for a controlled environment and a Dusk sample?" She listens to my request and nods. The center of the room’s floor starts to iris open, revealing a stairwell. She flies down it and I follow behind her. At the bottom of the stairs I see a four way intersection as well as the stairwell continuing down. She was flying off towards the east and stops at the first door of the right and waits for me to catch up before we enter. I smile as I step into a lab. "You're amazing, Flameu!"

She's so cute. I pat her head and smile. She seems confused, and tenses, by this at first but after a moment she relaxes into it.

As soon as the perk triggered she tensed for a moment and then relaxed again, her eyes turning up to mine. I smile warmly at her and she gives me a small smile. That was kind of funny though. Wonder why that happened though. The game does some strange things at times. Oh well. As far as Flameu is concerned, though, it will take a little while to break her out of her shell. But much easier than if it was Ophis or someone like her, I would imagine at least. I move over to the containment area and insert both the Dusk sample and The Dawn After the Dusk.
Neither of us speaks as I manipulate the controls to hit the dusk sample with a small amount of The Dawn After the Dusk. I sit and wait, staring, hoping for an effect to happen right away. Nothing does. The seconds stretch into minutes and I sigh. I scribble out some notes on the dosage and observed effects from my senses and the sensors. I move that sample aside with a little placard marking it.
I take another sample and up the dose to double the amount. I notice movement right as I was about to shift into hyper focus. I look over and see more vials being brought in. "Oh. Thank you, Flameu. I was just about to ask you for more. You're so great! Just so you know I am about to be really focused so if you need me you are going to have to nudge me or something." I pat her head again and she has her small smile giving me a nod in answer. I turn back to the containment area.
I continue like this for several hours, upping the dose every time. I only pause to make more of The Dawn After the Dusk. I finally started to get reactions, which is good, but they are minute. At the first reaction I hear a small, but sharp, intake of breath right beside me.

I suppose she would be one of the most excited by this. Her whole life has been consumed with this task and revitalizing the ravaged parts of the planet. Well her and the other Geo-Sys' out there. Granted I think most are in ruins, based on the game. I turn to her and smile. "This looks like it could be it. Just need to up the dose. Based on what just happened I think I know how much I need." She watches me as I talk and nods, a small ok leaving her. I go back and apply two vials of The Dawn After the Dusk. The effect is instant. The Dusk withers into nothing at an accelerated rate. I turn back to Flameu and smile. "I think this might call for a little bit of celebration. We need to wait a while and observe them all anyways to make sure that nothing weird happens from it." She watches me as I speak and then turns to the samples in the containment area.
"Celebration?" She asks like the word was foreign to her, it even sounded a little strange in her mouth. I nod and look at her for a moment and shrug like I care. I pull out some honey and; rice, hops, barley and assorted fruits. She looks at them all but is very clearly eyeing the honey. "Let me just whip something up real quick." I say with a nod and take in the honey and the different other ingredients and produce honey; beer, Saki, and various wine combinations. I uninventory some glasses and start pouring some of each for her to try. I leave the bottle sitting behind the glass. "Why don't you go ahead and give them a try. Just go easy on them." She looks from me to the glasses and bottles then back to me. "Ok." She grabs one and I follow suit. That seems to calm her and we both take a sip of it. Honey in the beer is ok, kind of nice that it takes away some of the bitter bite that beer has.
I look at her and she is making a face of disgust. "Ok, not to your liking." I take that away and hand her the Saki and she drinks it down quickly, and is met with the same look. I think for a moment as I take it away. Ok... Honey orange flavored wine. I hand it to her and take a sip myself. Wow that's sweet. I look at her and smile as she has the happiest look on her face that I have seen yet. "Hmm." She then shotguns the rest of the glass before I can say anything, "Well I guess you like it than."
She smiles a little wider as her cheeks flush ever so slightly. "Yes. It's sweet." I nod in agreement with her and hand her another glass, downing the rest of mine as well. I refill mine and turn to see her holding an empty glass. I take it from her with a slight sigh as I fill it half-way this time, which she frowns at. "Drink it slower." Her frown lessens slightly and she nods, now sipping at the drink. Her cheeks darkening more as she sits there and looks at me. I start to fill the dead air between us, as we sip at our drinks, telling her more about myself and trying to drag more and more out of her. That was part of the reason for the drinks; she will be more pliable conversationally. But she is an expert defensive conversationalist, hard to work with nothing, "Hey Flameu?" She looks over at me with a tilt to her head. "Come here real quick." She moves over to me and when I take her hand and sit her between my legs, still on the chair, she doesn't protest but seems confused.
I stretch my fingers a little and then start to gently message her shoulders. Her eyes go wide and she lets out a soft "Mmm..." Which her hands slap to her mouth to cover, I completely ignore this and just keep working. That is just encouragement for me.

Flameu Affection +24
It's a few hours letter, Flameu is resting, and I am looking over the data, with hyper focus, looking for the smallest details to figure out just how much has changed in the lower doses and if anything is trying to recover in the double dose. So far everything seems pretty much with in the specifications that I was expecting. I mean the Game doesn't really make mistakes and this is a pretty sound concept. The only question is whether I want to wait and make sure nothing weird happens, or do I just do a concentrated strike and say let the dice fall where they may. I do really like this world. Ok no releasing untested biological weapons designed to destroy water without testing them first. Well I haven't really slept since I became a gamer... maybe now is a good time to go get so good sleep. Having a good snuggle buddy is always nice. Flameu is actually quite affectionate. She's like some kind of weird hybrid Tsundere. I enter the room and look at the aftermath and smile. Maybe a shower first, followed by a little more fun, and then sleep.
I gently shake Flameu and she wakes up in a blur. Let's go get cleaned up. She slowly nods, still nod really with it and I pick her up, her arms going around my neck and her head of my should. I carry her into the bath and smile as I set her back down on her bare feet, to which she complains weakly as she goes to turn on the water, I smirk and close the bathroom door. The things I do to save this world.
