Every cell of my body was in pain, I could hear many voices.
"118/83 B.P is normal" some pale voice said.
The place smelt like detergent, a smell which I did not prefer. I tried moving but my body couldn't, I felt drained out. I slowly opened my eyes, and the bright light in front of me made it difficult for me to see clearly. And then my eyes adjusted and I could somewhat conclude that I was in a hospital bed.
The glucose packet near me was almost finished, though that I could not move much.
The hospital was packed with many people, but none I could recognise. I slowly gained some energy and got up, and walked around I found many people badly injured, and some were being declared dead in front of me, these people were there when the bomb went off.
I slowly moved like a snail towards the head nurse, who was tired and exhausted, she had a sad face on as she saw many little kids, who were badly injured. I moved towards her, hoping she would tell me where Jacob and Hanna were.
"Nurse, my name is Amira. I am one of the victims of the bomb blast which occurred in the district school. I wish to inquire where Hanna, a girl like me, about my height, thin, fragile and pale and Jacob, who is tall, 16 years old and fair." I said.
"I am not sure of the girl but that's the boy you are looking for I guess, right over there." She said looking at the north of the room.
My eyes scanned the room and something caught my eye, not only did it stop me from thinking but I also could not breathe suddenly. I moved towards the fragile figure, which was never like this, it was strong and bold.
The figure was breathing heavily, he was badly injured. As I reached near him, I found out how his right arm was broken and his hair was partially burnt. The glow he had in his face was long gone. His face was covered with blood and his clothes were torn.
I held his hand tight, but he held not grip. His body was colder than mine, he used to have a warm body.
The doctors came by and said, "He is in a very bad condition, the blast had somewhat damaged his nerves present in his brain, it's difficult to save him, sorry"
Tears scrolled down, as he was no one else but my one and only brother, Jacob.
"Jacob look at me. I am here, your sister, Amira is here. Look at me." I said.
His light blue eyes met mine all of a sudden, "Amie, My sweet little sister is here." He said, putting up a big smile he could put in his face and held my hand tight.
But slowly his eyes begun to shut.
"No Jacob, look at me. If you go I would be all alone, you are my only family left. If you are gone who is going to console me when I come home crying as someone said I scared them away. " I said as another drop of tear scrolling down my cheeks.
He tried his best to remain awake and his voice, which I admired the most said,
"Keep scaring them with your honesty, with your strength, with your kindness, with your love, with your understanding, with your words, with your eyes, with your presence and with your ability to read them.
Keep reading them until you find someone who is just as fearless as you are and who won't get scared off that easily, someone who is as scary as you are that it starts to scare you. You would never be alone sweetie

And then everything was silent, every single word got registered deep in my heart as I lay my head in his chest and as he patted my head slowly.
