Elliot groans, struggling to wake up, feeling like drugs are still coursing through his veins. When he opens his eyes, he sees Bobby from yesterday. His sitting beside him, gently shaking him awake, hand on his knee.
"It's 9 a.m. You wouldn't wake up earlier when we tried to wake you."
"Mmm."
"Can I help you get into a shower? You've uh... We don't need to talk about it. What Bonnie gave you was strong stuff. She's put out a supply order for weaker stuff as medical is out.
"What?" Elliot mumbles, still half asleep. "I promise I don't mean for it to sound as creepy as it does. I promise it will be purely professional...
Actually, let me tell you something about myself. I'm finishing a university course right from now, I want to go into disability work and/or aged care.
I'm in training and I'm using this... 'job' as experience so I have a head start, and it money above minimum wage and less hours to help with the student loans and me needing food, textbooks, etc."

After his showered and dressed into a new change of clothes, more awake now, Bobby's leading him towards the corridor when Gavin intercepts them.
Bobby nods his head and hightails it out of here, Elliot gulps. "I don't know what you're playing at Elliot, but I've got my eye on you. Nadine reported yesterday a file got slightly misplaced.
You may have fooled her, and even Dion, but not me.
You're acting suspicious... I suggest you stay in line otherwise, you will truly see what I'm capable of. It's been years, I'm not the same as I was before."

And them Gavin bumps his shoulder into him on the way outside. Elliot takes a shaky breath in and continues to the cafeteria, it's roll-call soon too.
When he makes it there, his instantly marked off at the doorway. There is a distinct lack of staff here this morning.
No way, a total of five guards, six if you include Bobby watching over an entire cafeteria of prisoners. There is at-least forty other people in here.
Maxis spy's him and waves him over. When Elliot makes it to him, he sees his eye is bruised. "Ouch, must have been a real beat-down."
"It was, but honestly I held my own. I was about to truly whoop their asses when staff intervened and drugged us all."
"About that." And Elliot explains everything that happened to him.
"Oh, shit. This doesn't sound good, some of them might be on to you, you should try to keep a low profile."
Elliot nods, not daring to tell him about Gavin threatening him. "So, where do you think some of the staff are?"
"Do you want to hear my thoughts?" Maxis questions. Elliot nods.
'They could be harvesting a few organs out of people..."
"Ugh, I hope not. Now I'ma be sick, Maxis."
"Sorry, damn. Now you not goanna eat breakfast."
Elliot and Maxis line up to grab some food, but there is a massive queue ahead of them and only three staff serving when Elliot sees one dart from the room, out a side door into a back room.
It's so quick, he doesn't get a good look at them. "Hey! Where are you going? We're short staffed as it!" Yells one of the two remaining staff, mumbling under her breath, "New recruits are always the same way. Flaky and unreliable."
They finally make it to the front of the line and get their food. It's a rather generous portion of porridge. When they're done eating, everyone is still being held in the cafeteria and there is limited staff still.
"Follow me." Elliot whispers. "Why?" Maxis says, but Elliot doesn't responding, leading him over to Bobby who looks up and straight at Maxis.
"Oh, hey Maxis. You okay now?"
"Uh... Yeah." Maxis responds, not trusting this guy. "Seems you both are friends." Bobby adds on.
"Us friends? No, not at all." Elliot responds.
"But you did come here with them and he offered to be you're roommate."
"Did you not see what Nadine threatened everyone if no one volunteered?" Elliot snaps.
"No, I- Ah." And Bobby let's out a sigh. "You're right, she did."
"Is she always so hot and cold?"
"All the time. Elliot, this place brings out the worst in people, myself included.
I think you should reconsider joining Dion and Gavin's company, seriously.
Take my advice, please. Don't do it. Run if you can and don't look back."
Maxis feels horrified and looks at Elliot. "W-what?"
Elliot didn't tell him what Dion proposed him, they had not talked about it.
"Woah, hey. Shit... You look angry, dude." Bobby says, noticing an angry expression on Maxis face.
"Don't do anything rash, come on now? W-we hold all the cards you k-know." Bobby stammers trying to calm down Maxis till he takes a different approach, worried Maxis is going to attack Elliot for being undercover staff.
"Look, I know you're angry now finding out Elliot here was supposed to become staff. We would any accept anyone from the collection here, but-"
"For fuck sake, just use the word prisoner! That's what we are, quit using cute names to make your evil organization sound better than it actually is.
You're human traffickers and organ harvesters."
"Maxis, just stay in line please. Don't act out, don't do anything stupid, okay? I can protect you for the most part from the people in charge here. Any staff member can, including Nadine May.

"Nadine wants everyone moved to the rec room cause we haven't got enough staff to supervise them doing a deep clean of this place."
"Uh, yeah, sure. No problem!" Bobby calls back. "Rec room? As in, like recreation?" Elliot says.
"Uh, yeah. No joke, there is one for you guys. It's just not... utilized much.
There is a ping poll table, the paddles got lost long ago so y'all will have to get creative and there is a bookshelf and some tables with chairs.
I think there is some board games too, but no doubt with missing pieces..."
"So cool, dude. We're checking it out out then." Maxis says.
"Glad you like it-"
"I'm being sarcastic."
"Look, just don't get yourself killed, Maxis. Please." Bobby says, leaving the boys alone.

"Shut up, Elliot. I don't want to hear it, not a fucking word. Don't even speak to me." Maxis hisses, storming out of the room, following the rest of the prisoners, leaving Elliot behind.

Everyone's hanging out in a shabby room, a poor excuse for a recreation room. It's exactly as Bobby described, and Maxis won't even look at or speak to Elliot and there is still very low security here despite the doors being locked.
And Kiera's here as well. She's just sitting in a chair in the corner, staring blankly into space.
Maxis picks up a board game with missing pieces and heads over to her, gently placing the game down. "You don't look like you're doing anything.
Do you wanna play?" He asks and she perks up a little. "Yeah." She says, clearly alert and not drugged out like he thought. She was just bored, albeit maybe a little tired though.
They share an unspoken gaze, they're here to rescue her and she very slightly turns her head, seeing Elliot standing in the corner, arms leaning on the back of a chair.

And then they hear a scream of distress. Kiera ducking under the table and Maxis holding up their game board to deflect a ping pong ball.
"Oi! Watch it, Thea!" Nadine scolds to the woman who is leading their undercover expedition. She's holding a book over by the ping pong table.

"I've put a request in for some new ones. A few weeks back, someone broke the paddles.
I'm sorry, but for now there is nothing I can do for you. Just try to hit the ball less hard for now with your... book." Nadine pleads.
"Shove off." Thea says angrily. "Don't piss her off, Thea!" Elliot calls out.
"You're seriously defending this chick, Elliot?"
"Thea, do you know what is downstairs in the basement?" Nadine says.

"Well you will never have to find out if you keep your big mouth shut from now on."
Then Thea gulps and Elliot slyly gestures to her what she means, by running his finger along his own neck.
"Ah, Nadine May, I'm sorry-" Thea begins.
"It's Supervisor May to you, missy. Fix your attitude and we won't have a problem with each-other." She says, heading over to Kiera and Maxis and holds a hand out for Kiera to take.
"Out from under the table, please. You're fine, the ball didn't hit you in the head. Maxis, clean the game pieces up." She adds on as Kiera crawls out from underneath the table.
"Nadine! Gavin wants everyone put to work now, there is no longer a staff shortage!" Someone calls out, walking in.
"Alright, everyone!" Nadine says, clapping her hands. "Playtime is over, it's deep clean time now for a bit and then you can all have a snack break!
I'll find you all something for not being crazy monkeys, giving us a hard time so far."
And everyone proceeds to file out, but Nadine pulls Elliot back. "Don't bother with the cleaning. Can you go to Dion and Gavin's office? They share one.
Just go there where you will be safe and I'll talk to Dion and Gavin in the mean time, they're... downstairs right now. Basement...
We need to get you moved up to Staff ASAP, you're no longer safe now, pretending to be one of the collection, our inventory.

"Uh, yeah... Totally." Elliot lies. "Cool, see you in a bit, Elliot." She says, leaning in and she plants a small kiss on his cheek.
His speechless and sees Kiera and Maxis turn their heads last moment, looking away from him and their holding hands. They just saw Nadine May kiss him...
