I think this should be in my dream blog but it's not really a complete dream. Just something I want to share. Let me explain.
I woke up in the middle of the night and I was really tired. I was staring at the ceiling for a few minutes with my eyes half-closed, trying to fall back asleep. Without even realizing it, I slipped into a dream, but I didn't know that yet. That's because in my dream I was literally staring at the same ceiling as I did ten seconds ago. So though I was aware, I thought I was still awake. That's where my false awakening began.
I found out I was in a dream when I couldn't move. I was stuck to my bed, still staring at the ceiling. Then I was like hol up, so I tried to scream. No sound came out, but I heard it in my mind (if that makes sense). That's when I knew I was actually dreaming and I was terrified, because this was the first time in a long time I was aware in my sleep. And worst of all, I couldn't move.
So I tried waking myself up, which was very difficult. I didn't want to fall back asleep and go through that again, but I was so tired.
And guess what? I slipped into the EXACT SAME DREAM, and I was still aware (though less aware than before). My entire body was feeling pins and needles and it stung really bad. I've felt this before when I go into lucid dreaming, and it's just terrible. It also feels like someone's tickling you at the same time.
I eventually had to wake myself up again. No more pins and needles. After that, I fell asleep normally. My dream was going into the kitchen to find my mom washing the dishes, only my mom was a mannequin.
Does anyone else have this similar feeling, or is it just me? Especially the severe pins and needles part. I can't find anyone who experienced the same thing online..
