_ Setchi _
Rock cleared his throat and announced, "Presenting, Our Leader: Aurora. Leader of the Lake Safiy Colony has arrived!" He soon stepped out of the way for us. A lilac-haired feaolk stepped in view, glaring at us already. Assuming that's Aurora, she doesn't look troubling as she was introduced to us. She stood in placement, her eyes as blue as the sky above the fog. Her feather wings were huge as she stood tall and bold, trying to seem intimidating as possible. "Thank you, Rock. As I was informed early ... this group has specifically been holding back a traitor to give us to. I wonder why."
She gazed at us or them in this matter since her gaze never landed on me. Instead of acting all angry, she widened her eyes, making me confused before she spoke the names "... Purity ... C-C-Castit? A- ... And Carla?" in a slow and surprised tone.
I flinched when a giant lioness jumped over us and onto the leader as all of our eyes went side. "CARLA!" Purity was the first to shout as she bolted over to her and tried to get the heavy lioness off of the leader. Rock was there too and so was a pink-haired feaolk, helping Purity to push Carla off. "Get off of our mother--- you're going to kill her."
"Oops, sorry." Carla whimpered before getting off of Aurora who chuckled and pulled the two into a hug, even if she struggled with hugging Carla. Rock and the pink-haired feaolk stood back with confusion displayed on their faces. I blinked, remembering that she called for Castit's name. I didn't see him in the bunch as I turned over and gazed at Castit who didn't move an inch. Well, he looked like he wanted to move over but he seems like he was hesitating. His facial expression was between shock and anger, which confused me for a moment. Shouldn't you be happy to see your mother and ... not mad at her?
I turned my head back to the three where they all stood up. "It's good to see you two and you--- ... I didn't expect you to go to my height." Aurora eyed Carla as the lioness smiled nervously.
"I didn't think so either," Carla spoke before turning over to us with a frown. She turned her head back to Aurora who gaze over at us.
"Where have you been?" Purity asked.
Aurora turned to her, smiling softly. "I've been running a colony. It's ... difficult to say the least."
"Running? Oh! You're the leader!" Purity widened her eyes, gasping.
"Of course, I am my dear." Their mother spoke softly.
"That's amazing!" Purity beamed as I could see invisible sparkles and stars all around her now. Ugh. Her mother gave her a nod before spotting Carla who was slowly backing away from the group as she was stepping back in line with us. Aurora raised her brows, walked over to us, and took in a great view before landing her gaze on Castit--- who's still having the struggle to either move from his spot or stay put.
I shook my head, lowering my ears as I watched her walk over to him. She pulled him into a hug which he looked like he refuse for a moment before melting into the hug. "Good to see you too, son." She said quietly, squeezing him before letting him go.
"... You too ... mother," Castit spoke quietly, staring up at her with a hint of fear rising within him. I tilted my head, confused as to why I smelt that from him. Maybe ... it's something that he's afraid of his own mother? Maybe that's why he hesitated to run over to her or that he doesn't want to leave Sutato's side as he is still behind him. Luckily enough, Aurora didn't spot him, instead, she turned her gaze over at me, Paradise, and anyone new she hasn't met.
"A rabolk ... in ... leaf clothing?" She observed.
"U-Uh, yeah." Paradise nodded, looking nervous as they held their brother in their arms tightly. Their brother avoided gazing at the leader, trying to hide further in their arms.
"What is your name? In fact, what are all of you newbies' names?" Aurora asked, glancing at me before turning her gaze back at the new ones.
"... Paradise is the name..." They spoke slowly before looking down at their brother. "... This is Bambi."
"The icolk here is Winter!" Purity chirped, grabbing a hold of Winter's arm as the icolk smacked her away.
"... Setchi," I spoke my name, pinning my ears as Aurora nodded, stepping back before looking back over at Castit. But she wasn't directly staring at him, she was staring at Sutato behind him. Her whole behavior shifted into a wary and hostile one immediately, "You found him, Rock."
Rock stepped over and dipped his head respectfully, "I did. However, I couldn't bring him alone since this group won't give him up."
"Why is that my dears? This demon is something more dangerous than you'll ever see." Aurora spoke sternly, glaring at all of us.
"Sutato's not a demon," Paradise spoke firstly, returning the glare at her. "He doesn't even behave as such."
"How do you know? He could be lying to all of you." Aurora eyed them. "In fact, he might just run away with how much of a coward he appears as such. What a weird demon."
"He's standing there frightened and scared because of the new environment! And probably you since you clearly don't have a fucking mind to tell the difference between dangerous and fear of someone." I snapped, growling loudly.
"How dare you disrespect, Aurora." Rock snapped his head at me, glaring down at me. Oh boo who, what are you gonna do? Kill me? I turned my head at him and growled loudly at him as I took a few steps just for him to step back. You're too much of a coward to do anything, anyway.
"He may be pretending, Setchi. And possibly trick all of you into this." Aurora answered, telling Rock to stop.
"If he was pretending, I would have already sensed it by now," I growled, glaring back at her.
"Sutato is not dangerous, mom. He's friendly and quiet!" Carla said, backing me up. That's good, you face your mother ... but Purity, on the other hand, seems to hesitate on the idea to do so. That's fine, we have our own backs to take care of.
"He's no threat to any of us." I heard Castit speak up. But he was quickly shut down by his own mother when she said, "Don't speak into this matter, Castit." Her eyes glared at him as he stepped away with fear presented on his face and nodded, keeping his head low while avoiding looking at any of us. ... There's something else going on here with him fearing his mother so much. I huffed, turning back to Aurora, and growled loudly, getting sick of this dominant behavior she was trying to display.
"If your daughter didn't drag me into a stupid idea she made me do to him, then I would think he couldn't do anything. Right now he's hiding in fear, possibly as the wolf said, from you or the environment. I don't think he's a threat completely or entirely." Winter spoke, making me surprised. I mean ... she did say she was sorry for going along with Purity's plan but ... I don't know, I don't trust her actions. "So you can rest to sure he won't do anything more harm than he can ever do." She added on.
"My dears, there could be a possible chance that he has manipulated you all," Aurora said, not believing one word from us.
Okay, that's it. "Can you at least listen to us?!" Paradise shouted, displaying an angry expression. "He's no whatever you called him! He's even not a threat--- you're just simply scaring him even more!"
Before Aurora opened her mouth to speak, I voiced in quickly, "Have you heard of your own people or at least other folks getting collared by their necks and forced to side with the humans?" I asked. "Have you at least heard or seen that one happen?"
Silence fell on the leader as she slowly turned towards me, raising her brows with a mix of surprise and annoyance, " ...I have ... but I don't believe if it's true."
"It is! I'll admit it. I was told I was one of them when I ... attacked some innocent folks back in the forest where your people pulled us from. That collar forced me to do things I didn't want to. The same thing happened to Sutato and any other folk that you may have run into." I explained.
Aurora appeared wary before gazing back at Sutato, who was still terrified and hiding behind her son. She frowned slightly, slowly nodding her head before sighing, "I didn't know the rumors were true ... and furthermore when I look at him ... I can see you all are telling the truth. However ... I am still wary of him."
I sighed quietly before turning over to Paradise who nervously asked, "... You said before he's ... a demon...? Is ... it true what he looks like?" What are you trying to get at Paradise? Or better yet, I don't understand your question.
"Yes. That is what most of them look like. I've seen them before ... dangerous and violent creatures." Aurora grumbled. "However, it seems he's not one."
"Maybe he's an artificial demon." I guessed. "That's why he's not hostile." Is it ... really possible for humans to create artificial demons...?
"Artificial?" She widened her eyes. "... What are the humans planning?"
"I have no idea..." I frowned.
"Well... I suppose we can go with that guess." Aurora nodded slowly. "However I need to keep an eye on him in case he does anything to my colony members." We were silent from that as I pinned my ears against my head. You don't need to keep an eye on him. You just need to---
"I can keep an eye on him for you." Purity volunteered, interrupting the silence. We all turned towards her as I glared at her. "I can keep a close eye on him since ... we're friends."
No, you're not, I don't think he truly forgives you after what you have done to him before. I saw Carla's expression shift into an annoyed one as she was slightly growling. Castit grew annoyed at his sister but didn't display the emotion on his face. He was still recovering from the tone his mother gave to him. Paradise made a disgusted expression at her. Aurora looked worried for a moment before sighing and nodding. "Alright. I trust you to this job, Purity. If he lashes out or acts aggressive, you come to me and we'll take care of it."
"I-I will!" Purity nodded.
"Good." Aurora nodded, before turning over to the coward, waving them off.

...
The crowd soon disperses, walking on the main road on the wooden platform towards the buildings. Now I could see what was to the left of us. There was a building next to the main road I as tilted my head. I watched Aurora return to the other important-looking people as she halted and turned towards us. "To enter this colony, it is recommended- highly recommend if you guys shift into a humanoid form as your animalic forms make take up more room on the pathways. I see some of you have but ... Carla and ... the rabolk, along with you, the wololk need to shift into humanoid-like forms."
Carla and I frowned as she spoke first, "Do I really have to?"
"I'm sorry, Carla," Aurora said. "But with how the world is right now, it is highly recommended so that we won't be spotted."
"We're in the fog, I'm sure no human will spot a giant colony in the trees." I voiced in, staring at her with a confused look. Humans don't have a super vision ... I'm sure you know that.
"That is true, but it's still recommended---"
"Then it's not true if it's still recommended to be in some humanoid form," I told her.
"It's fine, Setchi. I'll just create a human form and shift into that." Carla frowned, lowering her ears.
No, it's not. I narrowed my eyes before glaring up at the leader. "I hope that is alright with you," Aurora spoke, looking down at me.
"... Fine," I grunted. I turned over to Carla who closed her eyes and began to change forms, shifting into a human with red hair, green eyes, and freckles on her face. She soon covered her body completely, trying to cover the spots where she seemed wrong to show. Aurora walked over and grabbed her wrist, pulling her over to one of the important-looking people. I tilted my head before something appeared around Carla's body, looking to be clothed placing on them. Soon Aurora turned and walked back over to us.
"Now it's down to you two Setchi and Bambi."
Paradise frowned and looked down at their brother who drooped his ears. "... Bambi doesn't like to be in his humanoid form, can't he stay in his rabbit form?"
"I'm afraid not. He has to shift into his humanoid form." Aurora told them.
"... I'm sorry Bambi." Paradise gazes down at him as he slowly nodded before getting put down. He hops next to his sibling and shifts into a humanoid form that is shorter than their height.
"Go over to Carla if you have a humanoid form please," Aurora told us as the ones who did leave. Castit still was being protective of Sutato as he guided him around his sister and over to the others. Purity frowned before following behind, along with Winter too.
"Do you have a human form?" Aurora asked me as I shook my head. "Well, why don't you shift into your humanoid form?"
I blinked at her, forgetting that part of the deal, "Can I choose a humanoid form that I'd like instead of my ... wolf-trait humanoid form?" I don't have that type of form so that is why I asked.
"... This is starting to lead towards that ceremony, isn't it Aurora?" Rock commented as I lowered my ears, turning my gaze at him.
"Very well." Aurora nodded to both of us before turning back to the important-looking people. "Pearl, Gali, Verde, Aloe, And Akakku, come over here for a moment." The called folks walked over, gathering up as they appeared different from one another.
Gali looked like a human whose hair was white, though she had red to pinkish eyes, making me believe she was an albino, in fact, she does look alike an albino would be in humanoid form. Next to her was Verde. He was a human as well but displayed light green-grey hair with rose eyes. He had vines around his arms, making me guess he was another nature elemental. Aloe was next to Gali, displaying feather features the same as Aurora. Another feaolk, great. Those are the worse out of every folk. Aloe had a dark shade of lilac in her hair coloring with her purple eyes. She seems to be related to Aurora.
Oh boy. I'm not looking forward to this.
Lastly, Akakku. He was standing next to Verde with his black-grey-haired human form with red eyes. He had a moon mark on his cheeks, making me wonder if those were tattoos. ... Do they give out tattoos here? Dunno, I can always see after this.
"Pearl, Rock, and the rest of your team are dismissed," Aurora told them.
"What about the rest of the group?" Rock asked.
"I'll deal with them after this." She told him as he nodded, dragging Pearl away from us. I could see my group being told to back away as they stood far away in the distance, watching as this took place. I frowned, lowering my ears and my head before lifting both of them up to Aloe who began speaking, "I heard of a ceremony, Sister? Yes?"
"Yes. A Form Creation one." Aurora answered.
"Oh boy. Let's go set it up, Akakku." Verde said, dragging him away with a vine that grew off of his arm and onto the human.
"... Why you draggin' me?!" Akakku glared at him.
"I don't want to drag, Gali! She's a woman!" Verde glared back, heading over to the left building.
"Oh gosh, Will Akie and Verdie ever get along?" Gali giggled, shaking her head as she asked that herself since the sisters did not answer. I backed up and glanced up at her, sitting down.
"How would this ceremony go?" I asked.
"We will have a circle formed with a star shape placed in the center. You will be standing in the center as we will have the technology right in front of you, displaying the humanoids we have discovered so far." Aloe explained before Aurora could.
"I will be enchanting a magical display, mostly shaped as one that you see on whiteboard or walls. That display will show each humanoid that you can then create a form and shift into it." Aurora explained, shoving her sister gently. "You know how Form Creations works right or is this your true form?"
"... I do not know ... how Form Creations works ... so yes, this is my true form," I responded, frowning.
"Alright, we'll explain it to you." Aurora nodded her head before shifting it over to her right, watching Verde and Akakku return with the items. Gali perked with a smile and bounced over. She grabbed some stuff from Akakku and turned, walking back. Aloe and Aurora backed away as they beckon me to follow. I nodded and did so, padding over to their side as we stopped, watching the three set up the circle on the platform. This circle was bigger than I expected, reaching up to ... about 120 inches ... I think ... I don't know math well enough.
The star shape was placed in the center, as it reached the circle's edges. Soon half poles were placed on the edges. I widened my eyes, watching in awe as my tail was wagging. I was excited to do this again.
"We're finished, Aurora!~" Gali chirped, waving a thumbs up in the air from afar.
"Okay, go in the center Setchi," Aurora spoke.
I stood up and nodded, bouncing over to the center of the star. I halted and turned around, waiting for what a form creation is. I ... may have lied up there and said that I didn't know how to create a form. However ... it's been forever since I last created one so ... I'm doing this to get a recap. "Aww, the little wolf is excited to do their first form creation!" I heard Gali say. I cringed slightly, bothered by the sun rays she was releasing.
"Alright! Quiet down! Aurora trying to focus." Aloe called out, glaring at her.
"Whoops! Sorry, Aloe!" Gali giggled. Lord, please get rid of that sunshine.
Aurora grunted before closing her eyes and leaning into her hands, whispering something before leaning back, opening her eyes to purple and pink dust generating out of thin air. Soon they were forming a floating transparent board. Once it was finished, it displayed a human before shifting into a human with wings and so on. I widened my eyes, in awe of the magic. "Alright, now that is settled, we will explain the basics to you." Aurora begin.
"For us to shift into forms, we must generate one in our heads. We can simply generate a form that's easy to remember, such as common animals we see every single day. However, creating one takes energy depending on the creature you are imagining in your head. To help with that, I summoned a display board that shows off different types of humanoids. You may choose one as I will tell the board to hold still for you to imagine it in your head." Aurora explained, standing beside it on the left.
"You may choose your humanoid form." Aloe voiced in, getting a glare from her sister. She shrugged it off as she waited to see what I would shift into.
Right. You have to imagine things in your head and shift into that form. I became nervous as I breathe in and out. It's just a simple form. Surely it can't be that bad, right? Don't tell me I jinx it ... Okay! Focus! I looked up at the display board, glancing at the weird humanoid with claws as hands, and then the normal human. I narrowed my eyes, realizing these guys don't have the one I like the most. The humanoid appearance I like is the one with wings as arms and skinny double-jointed legs. Kinda like what animals have as their hind legs. I don't remember what they were but I've seen them before in cages ... somewhere dark and wet. Maybe I saw them in a cave? A cave with cages. I shivered before shaking my head. Okay, I need to focus.
Do I want to shift into those creatures or the ones up on the board? I blinked up at the board, getting an idea. How about I create a form, using the board's humanoids and those creatures and combine them both? I displayed a disgusted look. Nah, I'll just make it similar to my true form. I closed my eyes and imagine the picture of it, soon I downgrade it to those creatures I saw in the cages. I breathe in and out, beginning the process of creating that form and shifting into it. I opened my eyes again after a while, feeling weird. I was standing upright on two legs as I was afraid to look at what I had become. I took another breath in and examined myself.
I didn't need to do that as pink mirrors were summoned around me as I glanced over at Aurora who was smiling and waving. Thank you for that. I turned back to the mirrors, widening my eyes. Instead of standing up to 32 inches, it read that I was standing 72 inches tall. My torso was similar to a human, same as my head, except I had brown fins replacing where the ears of a human were supposed to go. I had one pair of horns sticking out on top of my head and pointed backward. I blinked and stared at my eyes, being the same color as I was in my wolf form. My hair was a maple color as I smiled with glee. I look so good!
I spotted some shade of brown spots on my face, wondering if those were freckles or not. I glanced down at my arms, staring at them. They were fading from white skin-toned into more brown shades. There was a white diamond on the front of my hand. Ooo, must have come from my true form. I spotted the brown wings on my arms as I flinched from their appearance. They're small. I frowned. Does that mean I won't be able to fly? I spotted a tail and turned around as I notice how long it was. There goes my long tail! Along with the fins at the tip of my tail. I really captured my true form perfectly!
I stared down at my legs, noticing the brown coloring continuing down until it got up to my white claws. There was also a white diamond on both of them. Also, my legs were hind legs, so think of hind legs on an animal. I smiled and was happy at this transformation until I realized I wasn't wearing any clothes.

...
That should be okay ... right? Well, in a colony like this no. It is not ... I guess I'll be forced to wear clothes. Let's see if I like wearing clothes or ... what they pick out for me.
"Here you are darling!" I flinched from the voice behind me, turning towards the figure. It happened to be Gali as she had clothes in her arms. "I designed these clothes to fit perfectly in your form! Also, they should stay in this form if you shift back into your wolf form." She smiled. I blinked at them before looking confused. Actually ... the real question is ... how do I ... wear clothes?
"OH!" I flinched from Gali's voice again as Aloe slightly did the same when she walked over to us. "OF COURSE! Of course ... they don't know how to wear clothes! I'm such a dumb, dumb."
"It's alright, Gali. We can help him or ... them." Aloe corrected herself.
"I'm fine with either pronoun as I go by both," I said. I like the way he/they sounds and I like to be called by both, even if I'm a male.
"Okay." Aloe nodded. "Let's get you dressed then." I didn't know how they do it so I just let them dress me. The shirt was a tank top, said Gali as it had a zipper on its back. She soon said that she realized she couldn't slip it on normally as other humanoids have it, so she made the tank top have a zipper on the back. She placed it on me as I heard the zipper zip up behind me. It's so weird being in this form. Next, were the pants, which were easy to put on. Though, they made me put two on, which confused me. I asked them about it and they told me men wear them. I never really understood the context. After I was done, they let me go as I looked over to Aurora who was walking over.
"It sucks you don't have a-"
"GALI." Aloe hissed at her. "Don't be inappropriate."
"Awww, alright. Another time then!" Gali chirped.
"NO."
I scooted away from the two, looking extremely uncomfortable. Uh ... no thank you. I shivered slightly before turning over to Aurora who halted. "I've never seen this type of humanoid." She nodded before glancing at her sister and the perverted woman. I slowly glanced over, giving the white-haired a glare.
Gali giggled at Aloe's responses as she looked over. "The boys already cleaning things up!" She said, glancing over at the two who were cleaning up.
"Tell them to meet me with the newcomers, Gali."
"Alrighty then!" Gali giggled once more as she turned and skipped over to them. I shivered slightly before turning over to Aurora who stared at her sister. She beckoned us to follow as she led the way over to my group. I smiled widely as I walked forward, feeling relief to walk on two legs again. Though I had to be careful because I was stumbling in them. How long has it been since I've walked on two legs?
Aurora halted as Aloe stood beside her sister. I slowly inched away from them and over to the others as the three other leaders arrived by Aurora's side the next. "Before I let Verde handle you, I must introduce you to the council of this colony." Aurora turned over to her sister, "This is Aloe. My older sister works with the process of training folks to protect our colony from humis. Call it "combat training" as you like."
"Welcome to the colony, rookies~. It's nice to see a couple of familiar faces. If you wish to help protect the colony, You may come to me." Aloe dipped her head. "There is an arena in the colony, where I mostly will be there. Watching other folks train their hardest. Or ... just practicing their skills to protect themselves. Either one is fine."
Aurora pointed over to Gali who stepped forward, "This is Gali. Our first humi into the colony."
I widened my eyes as Carla spoke first, "Humi?"
"Yep! I am not like the other humans! Instead, I'm interested in you guys! Especially you cutie~`` Gali said, pointing at me while approaching me quickly.
"Gali, you're going to scare him." Aloe hissed.
"Awww, I'm sure I'm not!" She giggled, leaning close to me as I stepped away.
"Please stop it." I said, glaring at her.
"She's like that; you'll get used to it," Aurora commented.
"No, I won't." I glared at Aurora. "I will not accept that type of fucking behavior."
"... Setchi dear ..." Aurora said, looking like she was about to give up her friendly facade.
"Gali, why don't you go and make sure the rookies are in clothing," Aloe told her.
"Awww, alright." Galil frowned and walked away.
"See what you did?" Aloe told me, giving me a glare.
"So? She shouldn't be entering into people's personal space without permission." I shoot the glare back at her.
"May I finish before you go on another stunt?" Aurora asked as her voice sounded like she was getting annoyed.
I glared at her before nodding, "Sure." We're not going to get along.
"Alright. She is called whenever a new shifter who doesn't have a humanoid form here and she will make clothes for them." She finished before moving on to the next. "Here is Akakku." She turned to the other human as he approached us, glancing at me.
"He's pretty tall." He commented.
"Indeed. Akakku is my second in command in running issues around here." Aurora spoke.
"If you have any issues if Aurora isn't around, you can come to me." He said as Verde walked over.
"This is Verde; he's in charge of keeping the colony's food in check," Aurora spoke.
"And anything necessary to the colony." Verde nodded slowly.
Aurora nodded, "That is it for the councils. Verde, sort them into their new homes in the residential area."
"As you wish." Verde dips his head as the other council leaders walked away. Verde stood in front of us, shooting a glare at me. "I wish she would just throw you away."
"Well, I guess she didn't." I shrugged, folding my arms. Verde clenched his teeth as I could tell he didn't like me at all. Don't tell me Gali is his girlfriend, and if that's the case, that's probably why he's acting like this.
"... Did you really want to become that tall, Setchi?" I turned around and spotted Carla slowly walking over to me. She had clothes on as Galil left after putting clothes on Bambi.
"No." I shook my head. "In fact, I don't care what height I am."
"I ... have not seen this type of look before." Paradise commented. "It looks nice."
Carla turned towards them before glancing at me, crossing her arms in the wrong way. "You look like a Gonolk now that I think about it."
"Yeah! He does or ... what my people draw him to be. Horns on his head with a long tail, along with wings ... but ... I don't think those are wings." Paradise observed.
"They are. They're just ... tiny." Carla spoke to them.
"Okay," I spoke, placing my hands on my hips before turning to them. "What the fuck is a Gonolk?"
"A dragonfolk." Paradise answered.
"..." I blinked at them as I tilted my head, "Why name it "Gonolk" if there are no similarities to dragonfolk?"
"DRA-GON, SETCHI," Carla shouted. "THE GON AT THE END-"
"OH. I DIDN'T REALIZE, SORRY!" I widened my eyes in realization, covering my mouth. Oh. Now I see the similarities between the two words.
"Are you dull-wits done yet?" I heard Verde hiss like a snake. I turned towards him, narrowing my eyes. "I'd like to speed this up so that I can return to the food production."
"Y-Yeah." Carla nodded slowly.
He grumbled before turning and leading the way down the main road.
