Snow pours down like rain would do during a thunderstorm. I sat by the giant window that the house had, watching it go with a child to the left of me. I could see the snow piling up on the branches of the trees as I sighed quietly. This week is not going so well at all. Maybe for the others, their days are less worse than what I've been feeling and that's good. No need to put stress on anyone brain's, especially Sutato's. And I'm glad Paradise is trying to stir trouble away from him, and distract him from certain things that may cause him to shut down again.
Bambi's helping too by finding more things outside instead of inside, but I don't know how he found mud that other day when we threw it at the other folks. It's confusing to grasp the concept of this child finding things where we wouldn't find at all, but that is what he's here for. Probably.
I closed my eyes and sighed through my nose, pressing my forehead against the glass. I did mention that my days weren't as worse as the others, right? Well, the reason for that is that I am sickly worried about Castit. When Aloe appeared out of nowhere and I saw the enormous fear on his face, I knew this council leader had to be the cause of that. And when he flew off from Aloe's threats I assume, I wanted to fly after him but realized I couldn't and I was sad. So I instead spill insults and words at Aloe, blaming her for whatever she's done to Castit.
Aloe keep on continuing with her confused and clueless facade--- which I hated the most before moving over to tell us something she needs to tell us. I would turn my head away if it wasn't important, but it was. She wanted us to include Purity in our group since she has to watch over Sutato, for Aurora's sake. I spilled so many stupid statements on that day, especially the times when I thought that maybe one of us watch over him if Aurora didn't have to choose her daughter. But that made the real, present me think about that moment.
Aurora doesn't trust any of us besides her own children and since that's the case ... of course, she would be trusted with the job.
We refused the order but she grabbed Bambi by one of his ears and threatened us if we refused for the second time. I had to hold back Paradise from tearing Aloe apart--- even if I wanted to set her on fire myself. We couldn't afford to make an enemy within the colony when our friends are in it.
But then again, we could leave, take things with us and go on our own. But we would be wondering what we need to do. Perhaps ... we could do something in this colony about it.
When Bambi's life was on the line, we accepted her offer and allowed Purity to be in our group from now on. And Aloe threatened us again if we kicked or argued with her if it ever came down to that, she would do something so worse to Bambi. Talk about an evil person who does shit behind her sister. Does her sister even know any of this?
I bet she doesn't and Aloe just does what she wants around here.
I hate how things turn out but we had no choice when Bambi's life was threatened TWICE. Ugh. So, we accepted Purity into our group. I told Sut that I'll be around him for when she is around too since I don't trust her around him--- because of, you know, what happened last time. So, about every day we would meet up with Purity and ... "sort of" hang out before most of our conversations break into arguments--- however before they continued, I always stir it onto a different topic.
As much as I would love to argue with Purity, I fear for Bambi's life here and that damn psychopath was willing to kill a child over this. Oh, wait until Castit hears about this! Anyway, Purity continued with this friendly facade that I hated so much and try to bond with us, especially knowing things that we do not know about ourselves. And when that happened, Carla didn't show up two days before this snowstorm hit us. I noticed how sad and quiet she was and I went over to ask how she was. She said a few words about "don't worry about it" or "I'll be fine," etc. but I know that isn't true at all.
I remember what Carla told me about Purity threatening her into not intervening in her time with Sut and that we should do anything. I bet she didn't know what Purity even wanted in the first place with Sut at all. Bet she told a lie so she can get away with this.
I breathed, smelling the air in here a bit different than usual as I lifted up my head and glared out the giant window. I want to get behind on why Purity is acting the way she is, along with Aloe as well. I want to know the---
"Why are you breathing out smoke like a dragon?"
I flinched at Bambi's voice, turning towards him as I widened my eyes. I flicked my tail as I closed my ear fins. I forgot he was there. "... I don't know ... it does that when I get angry."
"What are you mad about?" He asked with his eyes beaming with curiosity and interest.
I think it's a bit complicated for you to understand, kiddo. "Just ... Purity being Purity," I said, rolling my eyes.
"Oh. That bitch."
"WATCH IT," I shouted to him as he flinched back. "Don't say words like that!"
"But Big Sib calls her that all the time!"
I stared at him for a moment before turning my head over to Paradise who stood by the couch, talking with Sutato. I narrowed my eyes as I breathed out more smoke, "PARADISE!" I shouted, making them flinch and jump from their spot. They turned over to me with wide eyes. "DON'T TEACH BAD WORDS TO YOUR LITTLE BROTHER!"
"... I didn't teach him anything!" They shouted back at me as they walked over.
"You surely taught him to use curse words when you said it around him." I glared at them.
Paradise paused and closed their mouth, returning the glare as they placed their hands on their hips. They huffed and rolled their eyes, turning and walking back to the couch, "Fine. I'll be a little more careful when I'm around Bambi."
"Good," I grumbled before getting up to my feet.
"Why is it bad to say it?" Bambi asked as I helped him get up to his feet.
"Because it would make you seem bad," I told him, patting his head as I lashed my tail about. I turned around to the couches as he spoke, "Awwww, does that means Paradise is bad when shey says one?"
"Yep! It does!" I answered, turning my head back to him. "Also, it's they, not 'shey'"
"Shey!" He blurted out, huffing with his fists close to his face. "Big Sib allows me to say it!"
I sighed, "Alright, I guess I won't complain then." I watched him huff at me again before darting off over to the seats of the couch. I walked over and halted behind the couch's back and gazed down at Bambi who was watching Sutato draw some stuff. I gave a small smile before turning over to Paradise who leaned against the couch's arm, looking annoyed. I narrowed my eyes, opening my mouth to speak, "What's wrong?"
They turned over to me, sighing, "Don't you feel like ... the group is falling apart right away within days of joining the colony?"
I frowned slightly, glancing back down at the couch as I watched Bambi ask what was Sutato doing. "I'm not going to believe that because I want to fix it AND find out the cause for all of this."
"... All of this? Isn't it Purity's fault?" Paradise asked.
"Maybe her decisions are questionable and horrible, but she might have been influenced by somebody, and that somebody is Aloe," I told them, glancing back at them. "I don't know what their reason is about threatening people for no reason at all, but it has to be a reason as to why she is doing what she's doing."
"... That seems a bit risky, weren't we just gonna adventure out as a whole?" They asked.
"It doesn't take one to try and run on the edges around their barriers. I know it's risky, but it may be the reason why Purity did this to Sutato in the first place." I said.
"I think you're thinking too deeply into this."
"Oh? I'm thinking too deep? I'm just saying what I think because of Castit's reactions when hearing Aloe's voice." I said. "She did something to him and I KNOW she did."
They stared at me, blinking their eyes. "He might have got in trouble and he didn't realize he was there."
"Did you forget the part where she "possibly" threatened Castit and made him fly away from us?" I asked.
They frowned, looking away from me, "Even if she did, he shouldn't have left us there."
"But he was afraid of her!" I said, glaring at them.
"Even if he was---"
"SHUT UP." We both flinch from Bambi's voice and turned toward him. He was glaring down at both of us before turning over to Paradise. "Big Sib! Castie was afraid of the big, monster feaolk! I would do the same thing if she threatened me! And then come back and tell my friends about my fears and stuff. But I think I would second think that and think that my friends may think that I left them behind and now they're mad at me that I ran away from my fears, but I know better to not do that to you guys!"
We stared at him as I gasped, "Wait!- --What if Castit thought that?!" I asked Paradise as they did the same thing to me.
"Yes! Shit---"
"PARADISE---"
"SORRY! CRAP. Ugh..." Paradise facepalmed. "Don't say that word, Bambi."
"Okay, Big Sib." Bambi nodded.
"But dang ... Why would Castit think of that about us?" They asked.
"Well first off, you said that 'he shouldn't have left us.'" I pointed out, crossing my arms.
They frowned, drooping their ears as guilt appeared on their face, "I guess ... he was right about me. But why would he flee?"
"Trauma," I said, I saw Sutato lift up his head and stared at me. He frowned, looking away as he stared down at the book. "... Castit definitely had some trauma from Aloe. That is why he couldn't stay with us back then. I won't blame him for it unlike you would."
"... It would make sense why he doesn't know about his kind or why he doesn't behave as such of a feaolk..." Paradise mumbled.
"Why does that matter of what person needs to literally behave as their own race?!" I asked, looking annoyed. "He is his own person! He doesn't need to behave as a feaolk at all!"
"Okay, my mistake!" They put their hands up. "I won't say anything about that at all. So what are we going to do now? I'm not so sure if finding out the cause will fix anything. So I'd rather put back our group together again."
"We can start there then," I spoke. "Tomorrow we can talk to Carla and Castit."
"But then we'll have to split up." They said.
"Well." I lifted up my head. "You and Bambi go to Carla while Sutato and I go to Castit."
They slowly nodded, "Seems like a fair deal."
"Good."

...
"We'll return here. Yes?"
"Yes."
"Good."
It was the next day when there was no snowstorm at all and perfect for us to walk across the residential lobby area and over to the first house that was covered in half ice. Paradise and Bambi departed along with the platform towards where Carla lived while Sutato and I decide whether we cross the sea of people or not. I blinked at the sight, turning over to Sut who stared at me. "... didn't think?"
"... I ... probably didn't think this through. But I am determined to get this finished and over with!" I said. "I didn't expect to stay in this colony any longer than I wanted, but I think I have a purpose to solve what is going on around here."
He blinked at me, slowly nodding. "... strange?"
"I ... don't know if anything around here is acting strange ... buuut, we can take a look around and see if anything is odd around here," I suggested.
He nodded, giving me a smile before turning over to the sea of people. "... races."
"Yeah and we're across but two houses from the half-icy house. We can always trail around and go across from there. Yes?" I suggested, curling my tail up.
"Yesh." He spoke, nodding his head with a smile.
"Alright." I smiled before leading the way. I'm actually kind of glad that he is speaking more comfortable around us. It's good to see that, but I also want to read his full sentences that Paradise barely reads half of the time. Maybe I can ask Castit for some lessons on how to read. ... Or I could ask Sutato about that one. I slowly nodded, halting when I reached the entrance first. I turned over to Sut who looked nervous at the crowd before turning back to me.
I gave him a smile and walked forward, getting halted by a feather wing. I blinked and turned towards Aloe, making my stomach drop as I glared at her. "What do you want?"
"I want nothing, but you are needed in the Gathering Platform, where you came in from," Aloe said. "Aurora wants to talk to you, to both of you."
I raised my brows, becoming wary instantly as I walked over to Sut and stood right next to him. "Don't worry, I'm just getting the required folks for the meeting. Better wanna go unless you don't want to anger Aurora even more." She told us before walking into the residential lobby area.
We made her mad? How? I blinked at her before turning over to Sut who looked terrified. "It's okay! I'm here, Sut." I whispered softly before leading him forward gently. "That leader won't go anywhere near you when I'm here. They can't even get past me if they tried."
He stared at me before nodding his head slightly, walking close to me as I looked forward. Great. I guess we can do this later or after the meeting. But ... depending on the meeting and how bad it is ... probably later. We arrived at the pole before turning to the left and down the pathway. I could see Sut getting more nervous as we approached, making me wrap an arm around him and rub his back. Soon we arrived and I spotted Carla and Castit standing side by side as they were staring at Purity.
I frowned slightly as I guided Sut over before speaking up, "What is going on?"
"Oh. You don't know?" Purity asked, crossing her arms as she glared at me.
"... Don't tell me that getting into arguments hurt your "precious" feelings. Tell me another time." I said sarcastically.
She clenched her teeth, "You will regret that."
I narrowed my eyes, spotting Castit inching away and over to Sutato before turning over at Purity. "Why be mean?" I asked her, frowning.
"... Wha--- Why be mean? You guys were the ones who were being mean to me in the first place!" She hissed, glaring at me.
"If we were, then why did you decide that controlling someone was beyond your control in the first place? Why do you even want to control somebody? What is the purpose of it?" I asked.
"... Well, since you weren't there on the night it happened, I still think he deserves every right for violating me during those nights he did to me." Purity answered, stepping away when Carla swung at her. I immediately grabbed her shoulders and pulled her back.
"You're a damn liar! You know that right?! Tyler wouldn't like this at all!" Carla hissed.
"Tyler is gone, Carla. He can't tell us what to do anymore. We can do anything we want and that's why I did the first thing on that night. We lost our supplies when the humis attacked us, I think it's completely fair that we would---"
"You're turning into Aloe and I hate it." Castit interrupted her, hissing at her. I told Carla to keep Sutato safe as I didn't trust what was happening right now.
"... I'm turning into Aloe? What---"
"What about me? What else do you need to say about me?" He hissed, interrupting her again.
"... That you're a coward."
"At least I don't have to behave as such of our aunt--- well your aunt since I already disowned her. I don't know, what is the word where you don't want your aunt to be your aunt anymore?" He spoke, waving his hand in the air. "Eh, don't answer that, a dumb feaolk like you wouldn't know anyway."
"HOW DARE YOU?!" She lunged forward and I tackled her to the ground. She grabbed my arms and tossed me aside to get back up again. I immediately went back to tackle her again and pinned her to the ground. "GET OFF OF ME!"
"Make me." I blew smoke in her face as she coughed. I stood up off of her and walked away from her as I smacked her forehead with my tail when she sat up. I grinned widely before dropping it when I spotted Paradise and Bambi approaching. I halted and turned towards Carla who was still glaring at Purity. "You should have shoved her multiple times with your talons." She whispered to me.
"As much as I want to do that, I don't need to," I whispered back to her. "It'll be dumb to continue a reckless action, I just simply stop her from hurting anyone else. That's all."
Carla frowned before nodding her head, "Alright. I ... suppose so." She turned over to Castit who was whispering to Sutato as he slowly nodded at what he spoke before turning over to us.
"What is going on?" Paradise asked us in a whisper, holding Bambi closer to them.
"Aurora's mad with us ... or something like that so she wants to talk to us," I whispered back to them.
"Simply put it. Purity reported things to Aurora that made her mad." Castit whispered to us.
"... Were they lies?" I asked.
He shrugged, looking more empty than usual. "I ... suppose."
"Why should she lie about us?" Carla whispered, frowning.
"I don't know, it seems like she forgot everyone around her and see them as strangers. And not friends or family." He answered in a whisper. "The only family she considers is my mom and Aloe."
Paradise, Carla, Sutato, and I frowned at the sight as I looked down at the floor. I glanced up at him, asking, "How are you in these past days?"
"I'm doing fine." He said quickly, looking like he didn't care about ... something. I wanted to push on but I didn't and decided to get back on the topic of what was important.
"So ... is there any reason why you guys decided to stop joining us?" Paradise asked as I stared at them.
"Because of Purity," Carla said, frowning. "I should have told you sooner but I didn't want to go along with Purity's acts anymore. She's ... she ... not what she used to be and it pains me that she's ... different now."
"Man, everything is Purity's fault," Paradise grumbled in a whisper. "Maybe we do want to know why she's acting this way."
"Well first off, it's Winter's fault for influencing her!" Carla whispered anger visibly on her face.
"My fault?" We jumped from Winter's voice, turning over to her as she folded her arms. "I think she always had that bad side to her. Didn't you see Carla through the years with her?"
"No ... I'm too blind and dumb to see Purity's behaviors," Carla whispered back. "Also what are you doing here? You weren't in the group."
"Exactly. That's what I'm here to find out about. Aloe told me to go here because I was in trouble. I don't understand what I broke set me in trouble." Winter said, looking annoyed.
"It's because of your group---"
"I'm not a part of their group!" Winter retorted at Aloe who walked behind her.
"You are a part of the newcomer group---"
"She barely even knows all of us!" Carla hissed at her. "Just because we're apart---"
"It doesn't---"
"Just go with Aurora, Aloe." Castit interrupted her. "We don't need to hear your input." He added on coldly, glaring at her.
"Well, I think---"
"Especially, when you're not the main leader of this colony. Kind of glad you're not."
Aloe glared down at him before turning and walking away from the group. She took Purity with her and over to the council leaders who showed up just in time. I frowned, turning back to the group. "Great. Looks like we have to defend our lives."
"Lovely," Carla grumbled quietly.
"What did you guys even do already in the first week?" Winter asked.
"WE didn't do anything!" Carla said to her. "It's Purity's fault for lying about us in the first place."
Winter didn't look amused, just disappointed as she sighed, "Purity is falling further than I thought she would have."
"Should we just pretend and go along with Aloe's order about Purity?" I whispered. "That way we won't get caught afterwards?"
"If that ever a thing. I shouldn't even be in this, but I am because why not." Castit shrugged.
"At least it's nice to know about everything, you know?" The giant wolf said as I widened my eyes at its appearance.
"You didn't need to come, Neptune." He told it.
"Information is Information, Castit. You might need it one day to get back at them." The giant wolf said, tilting its head before pressing its paws against the floor. The floor below us glow faintly before disappearing right away. I eyed down at it before turning it over to the voice of Aurora. We all turned our heads over to her, watching her approach us as she halted.

...
"A few of you shouldn't be here," Aurora spoke, glaring at all of us. "Neptune---"
"I wanna watch!" Neptune whined, bouncing out from us before pinning its ears. "I'll watch from the sidelines, alright?"
Aurora sighed annoyed, nodding her head slowly as the giant wolf smiled widely before turning and running over to the sidelines. I narrowed my eyes at it before turning over to the leader who stood tall and bold in front of us. She gazes down at each and every one of us, glaring at Sutato first as he stepped away from her glare and slowly inches behind Castit.
She eyed him suspiciously before turning over to Akakku who was walking on over with a worried expression. She told him to step away but he stood put where he was as she sighed with annoyance. She turned back to us, opening her mouth to speak, "I called you all here because some of you have been disrespectful to one of the members here. Already ruining that chance to stay in this colony? It's such a shame that you ruined that."
Aurora sounds like she's trying to be ... more like a person who thinks she has everything underneath her hands. But ... in reality, she doesn't. She's more of failing at it and just trying to punish us without any evidence towards whatever Purity truly reported. "Purity isn't one of us?" I asked as her head turned towards me. "She was one of the "newcomer group" Aloe calls it and she's not a part of it?"
"That's because one of you or more of you ... dis..." She trailed off, turning over to Akakku who shook his head.
"I believe this meeting is pointless," Akakku spoke. "Even I warned you before you gathered them all up, but you listened to your sister because she "knows" everything you don't know."
Aurora looked nervous for a moment, hesitant about what to do as I tilted my head, piecing the pieces together. Is Aloe trying to take control of the entire colony by just saying simple reports to Aurora and just trying to get us to be kicked out? Wait ... did she simply threaten us because she thought we would find out what whatever she was doing? ... I don't know if it makes sense---
"Aurora ... you don't need to do this, there's isn't enough---"
"Punish them already." Aloe voiced in, walking over as she was glaring down at her sister. "They harmed your daughter and all your gonna do is sit there?"
Akakku glared at Aloe, hissing at her as he stepped away from Aurora. "Do you have proof that that happened?" I asked, stepping forward.
Aloe turned towards me, "Oh, I don't need to say at all, you guys all did it. You just don't want to say it. Especially the demon. I know he did something to her." She turned over to where Sutato was. "But he's hiding like a coward."
"Sut didn't do anything!" Paradise hissed. "Purity's just lying!"
"Do you believe the rabolk, Aurora?" Aloe asked her sister who glanced up at her. She looked nervous before shaking her head.
"Purity is!" I shouted, "IF we hurt her, then she would have gotten injuries all over her. You could see your daughter and turn her around to see if she had any injuries."
"Then what did you guys do?" Aurora asked, turning towards me.
"Put up with Purity's bullshit!" Carla hissed. "She---"
"Enough out of you," Aloe spoke coldly, whispering something as I watched Carla freeze up immediately, not moving a single bit. I widened my eyes and turned over to Aloe. "If any of you guys lie about what you did, then this will happened the same thing to you all."
... Well, great, isn't this ... just going ... so well.
