Calling all fairy-tale retellers! This contest is for you!

In this Lunar Chronicles inspired contest, your goal is to write a science-fiction retelling of any classic fairy tale. If you've read the Lunar Chronicles, then you've already found some inspiration. If you've read a different sci-fi fairy tale, please tell me which one, reccomend it to me in the comments.

So grab your fairy tales and it's time to jump into the future of writing.

You will have four weeks to complete your short story.

Rules:

- You may submit up to three entries, but only one can be in the top 3.

- Only light swearing allowed. I'll tolerate up to 4 MINOR swears.

- No slurs, regardless if you are allowed to use them.

- No horror stuff. Very mild gore is allowed in small amounts, but I can't read anything too scary.

- You can take inspiration, but you can't copy anything from your inspiration.

- No heavy themes, they could trigger someone.

- Be kind to your competetors. This is not a place to gloat or make fun of people. 

- You must leave at least one TAG on someone else's story. Everyone needs constructive criticism. TAG feedback is as follows:
