Mizuha and her friends were about to embark on a new chapter in their lives. One day, Mr. Akihiko cleared his throat and addressed the class, saying, "Good morning, everyone. I have a special announcement to make. We have a new transfer student joining us today. Please give him a warm welcome."
The door opened, and a boy with spiky black hair entered the room. He smiled nervously and bowed to the class, saying, "Hello, everyone. Nice to meet you all. I'm Kitamura. I just moved here from Osaka. I hope we can get along well."
Mr. Akihiko pointed to an empty seat behind Hikaru and beside Shimizu, saying, "Kitamura, you can sit there for now. Later, I'll assign you a buddy to show you around the school." Kitamura nodded and walked towards his seat, scanning the faces of his new classmates, hoping to find a friendly one.
His eyes landed on Shimizu, who was sitting beside his seat. He stopped in his tracks and smiled at her.
Shimizu saw him and felt a jolt of familiarity. She didn't know who he was or why he was smiling at her. She searched her memory for his name and face, but nothing came up.
She shook her head and looked away. She didn't care about him or anyone else.
Suddenly, a flash of memory hit her, and she felt a sudden shock. She remembered playing with a boy in the park when she was little. She remembered his spiky hair and familiar face. She remembered his name.
Kitamura!
She turned around and looked at him again. She couldn't believe it. He was Kitamura, her childhood friend!
She thought to herself, "This guy... Kitamura...! How could I forget about him?"
During class, Kitamura couldn't wait to talk to Shimizu. As soon as the bell rang, he ran towards her and shouted, "Shimizu, I missed you!" He tried to hug her, but Shimizu was shocked and reacted instinctively. She punched him in the face, thinking he was a pervert. Kitamura cried out in pain, saying, "It hurts! What are you doing, Shimizu?!"
Mizuha and Elly gasped in shock and started thinking about how Kitamura knew Shimizu. Shimizu then realized what she had done and helped Kitamura get up. She hugged him and cried, saying, "Welcome back, Kitamura." Kitamura hugged her back and said, "I'm back, Shimizu. Just like I promised." Shimizu then apologized, saying, "Sorry, Kitamura. I forgot about you." Kitamura replied kindly, "It's okay, Shimizu. I'm glad you're doing fine."
The entire class was in shock; they never thought that the tomboyish Shimizu could shed tears like that. Classmate 1 whispered to Classmate 2, "Hey guys, am I dreaming?" Classmate 2 shook his head and whispered back, "I've never seen Shimizu cry before." Classmate 3 joined in and whispered, "It's rare to see her crying." Shimizu sensed their whispers and looked up. She saw their curious and surprised faces. She felt embarrassed and angry. She let go of Kitamura and wiped her tears.
Glaring at them, she shouted, "What are you looking at?" The class jumped and hurried to their seats. They didn't want to anger Shimizu. She had a reputation for being fierce and strong. She could punch anyone who annoyed her. They didn't want to be on her bad side. Kitamura smiled and shook his head. He knew Shimizu well. She was always brave and strong, even when she was sad or lonely. She didn't like to show her feelings or let anyone in. She was still the same Shimizu as before.
He said to her, "You're still the same Shimizu as before."
Mizuha and her friends came over to Shimizu and asked her about Kitamura. Shimizu told them that he was her childhood friend who had moved away when they were kids. He was the only one who understood her and stood up for her when she was bullied. His sudden return brought back many buried memories.
Kitamura introduced himself again and told them that he had changed a lot since then. He was no longer the crybaby who always ran to Shimizu for help. He wanted to protect her from any harm that might come her way.
Hikaru leaned over to Kitamura and whispered, "Hey, you don't have to worry about Shimizu. She can handle anything by herself." Zul nodded in agreement, saying, "Yeah, she's the toughest girl in our class. She can fight anyone who tries to bother her." They both recalled the incident when Shimizu punched a guy who had insulted her. It was an epic moment that had earned her respect and admiration from everyone. She was fearless and fierce. Kitamura looked at Shimizu with awe.
"Really? Wow, Shimizu, you're impressive," Kitamura said. Shimizu couldn't take it anymore. She snapped at them and said, "Can you guys shut up, or will you also..." They laughed, and after that, Shimizu laughed too. Kitamura felt a warm feeling in his heart. He realized that he had found a group of friends who cared for each other and accepted him as one of them. He was grateful for their kindness and friendship. He also felt a special connection with Shimizu, who had never forgotten him despite the years apart.
As they went through high school together, Mizuha, Shimizu, Elly, Hikaru, Zul, and Kitamura became inseparable. They faced many challenges and joys together and learned the true meaning of friendship. They supported each other through thick and thin and always had fun along the way.
Kitamura's arrival changed their lives for the better, adding a new dimension to their group dynamic, bringing more laughter and adventure. They shared unforgettable moments that would stay with them forever. They would always remember the day when Kitamura came back into their lives and how it marked the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
