Three nights ago exactly, I was just laying down on my bed as usual. My bed was at the corner of the room with one small window at my head and a big window at the side on the wall. There were three of us and three beds in that one room. The power outlets were at the foot of my bed so we put the light and the electric fan there.
At that time, we used to only cover the lamp with a hat to dim the light a little bit. It was about 11:10 or :20. I wasn't really used to having complete silence when I was about to sleep. We lived in an apartment so I relied on the electric fan (which sound was very vague) and the AC thingy outside that would turn off for 20 minutes once every 40. I couldn't sleep because the AC thingy stopped again.
I reached over to the side of my bed and took my book, "Lord Of The Flies" and started reading. It wasn't very interesting. It was depressing. The light was dim and I had horrible eyesight so I switched my position and now my head was facing the fan and under the light and my feet were up on my pillow while my comforter was scrambled all around my bed.
It was about a a lot of minutes- the AC thingy started up and turned off a few times already- and i figured it was maybe 12 something so I closed my book. I returned to my original position and put my comforter over my head, snuggled up inside like a caterpillar.
I really couldn't sleep, I was only half-awake for about (estimate) 30 minutes when I felt something cold. The wind was coming from where my feet were so I figured maybe there were gaps and the wind from the electric fan came inside my comforter. I tried to look for any gaps with my feet but I felt nothing. I fell asleep again. The wind woke me up again and I felt it up to my leg this time. It was very cold and uncomfortable so I searched for it again with my feet. Again, nothing. No gaps, no hole. Keep in mind that the blanket I was using was a comforter and it the fan couldn't possibly penetrate through that.
Again, I fell asleep but this time, only for a few minutes when I awoke. I don't know why. The wind wasn't there anymore. I stayed half-awake for a while when I felt the wind again. I've had enough. I was going to turn off the fan. That was the only logical solution. But something told me to stay inside, don't open the blanket. It was already cold anyway, I wouldn't need it, so I didn't listen.
Finally, I threw off my comforter from my face and instantly stopped. I felt something weighing on my chest, my throat tightened. My breath became short and my body was completely frozen. I could feel the wind clearly now.
A shadow loomed over me, its head reaching the ceiling. It had eyes which looked at me, I knew it did but I couldn't see it. It had hair, but it looked kind of shadowy or wispy, over it's face just like in the movies.
I couldn't see the fan. This confirmed it. What I was seeing standing on my bed on my feet was real. It was blocking the light and the wind of the fan. It was real. It was very, very real.
I stared at it for about 2 seconds and went back in my comforter. I thought, "Nope, not today." and pulled my laptop from under my pillow and started reading manga to distract myself. I stayed awake until 6:37 that day.
