And now, the pink fairy armadillo!

It's five inches long and weighs about a quarter of a pound- the smallest species of armadillo. It lives in Argentina, in the plains and grasslands where the ground is sandy. They eat mostly ants, and sometimes worms, snails, or plants and roots.
The pink fairy armadillo uses the sand to great benefit; they are very good at digging (proof: look at the front feet) and can bury themselves in seconds if they are frightened. They are the only armadillo whose shell isn't almost entirely attached to the body, as well as the only one so strangely colored.
This armadillo is very elusive. It is a threatened species as well, its main predator being domestic dogs. Its habitat is also decreasing.
