Zoe has seen tragedy. Just a year ago her older brother was killed and she is struggling to move on. Just when she thinks things might be okay, she finds out that her tutor is diagnosed with cancer. Life doesn't seem worth it, and she finds herself wondering why bad things happen to amazing people.

Still trying to move past her grief, Zoe begins to wonder if the wounds will reopen if she loses the person that she has come to care about.
