After being discharged from the hospital, Diya drove Dhruv home. As they ascended the stairs to their room, Dhruv grasped her hand and embraced her, exclaiming, "I still can't believe we are together now." Diya returned the embrace and inquired, "It's wonderful, but who were those who attacked us?"
Dhruv struggled to articulate his thoughts, mumbling, "I—I—I don't know. I suspect it might be Naziya. Do you know her father is a politician? She could wield considerable influence." Diya appeared somewhat convinced but pressed on, "But what about the guns? This is a life she is toying with." Dhruv reassured her, "It's alright; I'm fine now. Next time I see her, I will confront her."
Diya interjected, "No, she seems dangerous. Let's just ignore her." Dhruv replied, "Okay, let me hold you for a while." He embraced her, and she reciprocated.
After a brief rest, Diya awoke and prepared a light meal for Dhruv. She gently roused him, saying, "Dhruv, wake up and eat something; it's time for your medicine." Half-awake, he opened his eyes slightly and murmured, "Ahh, give me a kiss, and I'll wake up."
Diya retorted, "Shut up! Get up quickly, or it will cool down."
Dhruv hurriedly brushed his teeth and joined her at the dining table, asking, "You made this?"
Diya replied, "Yes."
Dhruv continued, "Next time, don’t do this. Ask someone else, or I’ll do it for you."
Diya responded, "Why? Is it bad?"
Dhruv clarified, "No, it's good. I just don’t want you to overexert yourself."
Diya smiled, "It's okay! I want to do this for you."
Dhruv expressed his gratitude, "Thank you... I truly appreciate it."
Diya urged, "Alright, get ready; you need to go to college."
Dhruv protested, "I don’t want to. I want to spend more time with you."
Diya encouraged, "Come on, we still have plenty of time together. Go get ready."
Reluctantly, Dhruv freshened up and packed his belongings. Diya offered to drive him to the airport.
Later, at the airport, as Dhruv's flight was announced, Diya embraced him, saying, "Take care—don’t overdo anything." Dhruv nodded and was about to leave when he turned around and kissed her on the forehead.
Dhruv's POV:
Wow... we are going to spend more time together from now on. Although we always spent time together, this time feels different—we're in a relationship. I regret taking that PG; otherwise, I would be with her.
The flight approached, and I returned to my room, utterly exhausted. I didn’t want to attend class for two days.
Jaag called, informing me of a meeting I needed to attend. I booked a flight and headed to the office. After changing into a suit, I entered the office, signed some necessary documents, and accidentally spilled coffee on my hand. The barista apologized, "I'm so sorry, sir; I didn’t mean to."
My PA intervened, saying, "Apologies, sir; she’s a trainee. Your assistant is on leave today. Don’t worry; I’ll fire her."
The PA turned to the trainee, scolding her, "Don’t you know the CEO dislikes women entering his cabin? Who instructed you to deliver the coffee?" She replied, "Sorry, sir; it was our team leader."
I interjected, "Forget it! Just ensure it doesn’t happen again."
Later, during drinks with shareholders at a bar, one of them remarked, "Sir, you seem to have taken a liking to that trainee. I’ve arranged something for you."
I was lost in thought about what Diya might be doing when a woman in revealing attire sat beside me. I ignored her, knowing that these shareholders often exploited women. She spilled a bit of wine on me, and when I looked at her, she attempted to take my hand to make me touch her. I immediately pushed her away. Looking around, I realized we were alone in that box—these despicable creeps.
I shouted aggressively, "Just because I’m in a good mood today, I’ll let you go. If this happens again or if I see you anywhere near the office, you can forget about your life."
She appeared terrified and fled.
After a few drinks, I returned to my hotel and slept, then went back to campus. It had been a while, so I decided to attend college today. Upon arrival, I spotted Sunny, who remarked, "You seem pretty energetic."
I replied, "Yep, because I have a girlfriend."
"So, you finally did it, huh?" he teased.
"Yes," I said happily.
The atmosphere was dull, as it was exam week, but I looked forward to the break afterward when I could be with Diya. However, the exams would last an entire week. Later, while eating in the cafeteria, Naziya approached me, saying, "I heard you were injured—how are you?"
I replied, "I’m fine, thank you." She continued, "Can’t you be a little nicer? I care for you; can’t you see?"
I retorted, "I never asked for your concern!"
Naziya stood up angrily, declaring, "I heard that woman runs a business. Do you want me to shut it down?"
I stood up and pushed her, saying, "You can if you have the ability, but don’t you dare speak about her like that. You are in no position to threaten me."
Naziya warned, "You’ll regret this."
She called someone, saying, "Help me with something..."
I contacted Jaag, instructing, "Take care of Diya for me. By the way, halt all resources to that MP, Maheshwar. If he inquires, just say it’s due to his daughter’s behavior."
Jaag acknowledged, "Okay."
A Few Days Later:
Finally, the exams concluded. Diya arrived on campus, and as soon as I received her message, I rushed to pick her up. She sat in the cafeteria, and I went to order food for her.
Upon my return, I noticed Naziya conversing with Diya. Anger surged within me, but as I approached, they ceased talking, and Diya appeared somewhat disturbed. Naziya said to Diya, "Think about it," before departing.
I asked Diya, "What did she say?"
Diya replied, "Nothing. Thanks for the food."
I sensed something was amiss. Later, as we settled in our room, Diya sat silently on the sofa, seemingly about to speak.
Diya began, "I think—"
I couldn’t bear to let her finish. I pulled her close and kissed her, asserting, "I don’t know what she said or what you think, but don’t ever mention separation. I can’t endure that."
Diya responded, "She said she would ensure you drop out of the PG. Didn’t you say she has connections? I don’t want to jeopardize your career."
I reassured her, "Do you think I would be happy with this degree if you weren’t in my life? Besides, she doesn’t have that power. I heard her father’s company is failing."
Diya sighed, "Okay, then. Just be safe. I don’t want you to get hurt."
I insisted, "Promise me you won’t ever give up on me."
Diya nodded, "Okay. I promise."
Later, I called Jaag, saying, "Hurry up! I want Naziya to lose everything."
A few hours later, news broke that Naziya’s father’s business had collapsed. When Diya and I went to a restaurant for lunch, Naziya approached me, looking like a wreck. I knew what had transpired. She said, "Don’t be too proud. That woman is deceiving you. She has connections with the AD group; she must be playing you."
Diya was right there, overhearing Naziya’s words.
I replied, "It seems you haven’t learned anything. Get lost." Once Naziya left, Diya attempted to explain.
Diya said, "You see! I don’t know any AD group. Although they invested in my company, I’ve never met him, and I don’t like him."
I reassured her, "It’s okay. I know. You don’t need to explain. I love you." (She looked so adorable when she was flustered.)
Diya smiled.
Then, Diya and I boarded a flight back to her home.
Diya said, "Dad asked me to attend a charity dinner. Would you like to join me?"
I replied, "Yes, I would love to."
Diya smiled and said, "Alright, be ready by 8 PM tomorrow. I have an important meeting at the office; you can wait for me here."
I insisted, "No, I want to come along. I’ll just sit in a corner." (I blinked playfully.)
Diya chuckled, "Okay, stop acting. Let’s go."
At the office, Diya asked me to wait in her cabin while she attended the meeting. I could see her in the opposite room, discussing something seriously.
Diya looked incredibly attractive when she was focused. I wanted to hold her and kiss her right there in front of everyone.
After a few minutes, she returned. As soon as she opened the door, I pulled her close, pinning her against the wall, gazing into her eyes before kissing her. Unable to control myself, she pushed me away, saying, "We’re in the office."
I teased, "So, I can’t in the office? How about your room then?"
Diya laughed, "Okay, stop teasing. Let’s go to dinner."
After dinner, we returned home. Diya said, "Go freshen up and get some sleep."
I suggested, "Let’s shower together."
Diya retorted, "Shut up and go."
After Diya had showered, she said, "Go to sleep."
I insisted, "I want to sleep with you."
Diya replied, "You—"
I interrupted, "No, I’ll just hold you. I promise."
Diya smiled, "Okay."
I kissed her forehead, and we both drifted off to sleep.
