It was the last period of the day — English class. The room smelled like chalk and old books, and students were half asleep as Miss Nadia explained Shakespeare.

But on the last bench, sat a quiet boy — Zayan. Always alone, always writing something in his notebook. No one really talked to him, except for Eman, the class topper.

One day, Eman noticed something strange. Whenever Zayan wrote in his notebook, he would smile, then quickly hide the page. Curiosity took over.

“Hey… what are you writing?” she asked during break time.

Zayan looked shocked. No one ever asked him that.

He smiled nervously and said,

“Nothing… just silly thoughts.”

But Eman wasn’t convinced.
