This is a 1-3 sentence writing.

I need the first sentence to a story. the story is so:

the universe is a world in which there are three sentient, humanoid races- Daemons, Fiends, and Humans. The main character, a fiend named Xavier, hatched (yes, they come from eggs) near a human citadel. Fiend eggs are lain similarly to a fly, in rotting food. 

He grows up in the citadel he was born near, and everyone fears him except the tavern keeper, Tuck. He becomes Xavier's father, and teaches him of his vocation. 

other things happen , like the Daemons trying to kill Xavier etc... but that's not important for the first 3 sentences. GO!~
