This story is based off of what has happened to a friend and I, but this was a bit more exaggerated, which is what caused me to put it in the fiction category.

The protagonist suffers these feelings of pain, regret, and loneliness because she hurt her friend, who is the She/Her in this story. She goes through many stages of anger, sadness, and fear throughout the story, leaving a lingering sense of pain behind towards the end.
