Baxter and ROEBUCK are mercenaries and partners, one man, one machine.  They ride around the deserts of Mexico and the American Southwest, guns for hire for whoever can afford them.  In this first installment, they join a convoy to escort a freighter full of ethanol to Rock Springs, and help defend her from a roving band of raiders.  While catching up on some ‘r and r’ at one of the local watering holes, they're pulled into a conflict that will shape the course of their destinies.
