In the far future, humans are able to use a natural form of alchemy called Heka. People not born with Heka abilities are the minority in a society governed by a group called The Elders.There are 12 categories of Heka, Fire, Water, Metal & Minerals, Light are a few examples.

After the last war the earth only has five mega cities. The rest of the planet is covered in a forest where no Heka or Power can be used. The Army's Scientists created abominations and set them into the world’s forest to see if they can get a way to use their Heka outside the cities once again.
